Sorry about the garbled message, I’m just feeling numb.
I’m 5 years post cancer diagnosis, mastectomy node clearance due to node involvement, chemo and radiotherapy. It was suggested, to take up a research programme called Track-ER trial.
I’m reaching out if anyone is/has been on this trial. For the past 15 months, I’ve had clear bloods but on my last scan there has been a detection of cancer. This is early detection but it is present and worrying all the same.
My next step is for a scan but I was wondering if anyone else been on this, looking for their experience.
Would love to hear from ANYONE……maybe looking for that reassurance.
xx
I’m so sorry that you haven’t had any responses to your post, and for how you’re feeling given your news. I just wanted to check in and see how you were feeling? Please know that if you ever need support or someone to talk things through with you can reach our nurses on our free helpline 0808 800 6000.
I’ve used the search function to find if anyone has discussed the Track-ER trial previously, but can only see a user in this thread hoping to take part in it New and learning - #12 by mun4o
I’m unsure if they were able to start the trial or not, but might be worthwhile reaching out to them.
Hi @YV4820
Sorry, I’ve just seen your post & the BCN reply. There is actually another thread on here from 2024, which has TRAK-ER in its title. If you type that exact phrase in the search box, it will come up for you. It would also be worth posting again yourself, with the trial name as the subject this time. It should then attract the attention of other participants, who might be able to help you.
I’ve been on the trial for nearly a year now, & had negative results so far. No wonder you’re so worried, I understand all too well. I had a large 7cm tumour, with lymph node spread. The posts in the thread I mentioned might help you in terms of your positive result.
Sending love & best wishes, please let us know how things develop, or send me a PM if you prefer, Jules XX
