Preparation for diep surgery

I am over halfway through chemo and am looking ahead to my diep surgery. Is there anything I should be doing to prepare for surgery? Anything that I will need? I know that I will need post-surgery bras and compression pants. Anything recommendations for where to get them and how sizing works (will be sizing down for reconstruction so not sure what size to go for). Also any recommendations for useful items to support comfort and recovery post surgery please?? Many thanks

Hi there I have just received a surgery date of 31/1/26 for a mastectomy and immediate reconstruction (DIEP). I have Lobular Cancer in my right breast which does not have appeared to have spread outside and is sitting a Grade 1 at the moment. DIEP flap surgery experiences

Hi everyone, I am looking for general feedback about how people have found the experience of going through a DIEP flap reconstruction, the recovery and follow on surgery or issues. In 2020 I was diagnosed with a large area of high grade DCIS in my left breast which was successfully removed with a lumpectomy and radiotherapy.
