How to prepare for a Diep

Hi there I have just received a surgery date of 31/1/26 for a mastectomy and immediate reconstruction (DIEP). I have Lobular Cancer in my right breast which does not have appeared to have spread outside and is sitting a Grade 1 at the moment. I have googled the hell out of the whole process and watched animations so I know what I am in for surgery wise. DIEP flap surgery experiences

Hi everyone, I am looking for general feedback about how people have found the experience of going through a DIEP flap reconstruction, the recovery and follow on surgery or issues. In 2020 I was diagnosed with a large area of high grade DCIS in my left breast which was successfully removed with a lumpectomy and radiotherapy.
