tit willow.jpg

image.jpgSo it’s Friday night!! Thank the Lord!!

i have put the cat amongst the pigeons today and a complaint has gone in about what happened on Tuesday. No doubt the proverbial will hit the fan next week but I don’t care. It had to be done. I have never ever been a push over and I am not going to let this lot try it on when I’m at the most vulnerable point ever in my life.

I am going to try and not dwell on it over the weekend and instead I am just going to enjoy spending time with hubby. I can feel a lunch date coming on tomorrow!!

i like those mugs too!! Fluffy tit willows it is!!

going to catch up on everything on here now…

you lovely lot have been busy!! Lol

xxx

A quick hellooo! I’m in charge of van watch and running interference with the packing, so a sneaky hello and very definitely will be buying my mug. We can then all post pics of our favourite tipple in them!! Love hugs and packing tape!! Xxx

Well done Beth, proud of you, go girl!

Right, those mugs!  Where are they?  I’ve looked everywhere and can’t see “shop” anywhere on the site.  I want one NOW! Xx

Found it, takes me a but longer to do things these days, but I get there in the end xc

Hi Delly, hope you had a good time in Brighton, were your actor friends still there? It was a long way to go back for your appointments, but I’m sure you’re right that it’s hard to get everything moving again if you miss anything.

It wasn’t me that had the poorly mother in law, it was Rubycat, and the funeral is next week I think. I’m sure she won’t mind me giving her news. It’s hard to keep everything straight when there are so many of us, and you have so many pages to catch up on when you’ve been away for a while. So thank you for the thought anyway.

Fluffy willows mugs, who’d have thought BCC would have something so appropriate?? I already lower the tone by drinking my wine out of a tumbler, not a proper wineglass, so a mug won’t be much of a step.

Beth, just you show them they can’t mess with you, they didn’t know who they were taking on did they?

Good night Fluffies, I’ve  had a busy day and can’t keep awake…

Good morning lovely ladies.

Yay mug ordered as soon as it arrives will post a piccy, sounds like we are going to be flooding the thread with them in the coming weeks and we are already at 4538 posts.

Charys remember you wondering how long it will take us to get to 5000, perhaps by mid March

Well it is very foggy here this morning, I was really looking forward to getting up and in my garden this morning, might have to leave it for a little later and just sit doing my tapestry for a while.

Helena xxxx

Morning all!

Oh joy, it looks like spring outside. I’m definitely a SAD person, January and February are always a bit of a trial. But this morning looks beautiful, so I’m going to get my walking boots out and recce a new route in the forest where I usually walk Daisy. The OH and I have a bit of a history of getting lost, so if you don’t hear from me in a few hours it’ll be time to send the search parties out…

Oh I am such a lucky girl, no sooner have I said what I need, than Colin has ordered me a pair of gardening shoes and proper gardening gloves, yay cant wait to get them now get using them

If nothing else I am going to look the part in the garden

Good evening Willows,

Clair, what fabulous photos, how lucky are you having all that on your doorstep.

Sounds like youve all been productive today, walking, gardening Janey moving her daughter and Delly Delicious back making us chuckle.

My Saturday morning walk was changed today as my friend had one (she has 12) of her grandchildren staying over last night and had to return her this morning so we didn’t set off until 11.30, too late for breakfast.   After mooching round shops we had lunch and wine then walked home in the sunshine.  When we set off it was overcast but the sun came out and it was HOT in my thick padded jacket, that combined with the wine, Not a good combination, result, thumping headache by the time I got home, so bed with painkillers, still I did get my 8.5 miles in.

Enjoy your curry Helena, and hope the rest of you are making the most of your weekends.  Hoping tomorrow is as lovely and warm and sunny as today was, Spring has sprung xx

Hello lovely willowy things - yep Ruby - OH needs to know you’ve been upgraded to wonderful! Just arrived at Mum’s in Sussex, after 500 miles via Padstow and Essex. Tomorrow on to Folkestone then our turn for IKEA at Southampton. Very tired even though I just sat in the van and carried the odd cushion - with great care! It sounds like you’ve all had busy but sunny days. The garden is my normal and little irises are now nodding. Isn’t it funny how we’ve become our go to shoulders. Mum has just taken me to one side to say she’s been recalled with suspected skin cancer. No one else knows but she’s told me, as it’s one of the other cancers on the lovely Cowdens list and her GP has said genetics bods need to know. Deep joy and deep breathing trying not to be upset in front of the others ? But know I can tell you, which helps!
Delly your flurry made me smile - especially the 15 minute bit! Bed shortly for me I think but wanted to check in. Huge hugs xxx

Oh hunni.I’m so sorry to hear that news <3
Sending you and your mum huge hugs and much.love xxxxx

Dear Janey, so sorry, nothing much I can say except you’re in my heart and thoughts.  It’s just one thing after another for you lately.  Big virtual hug xx

Janey, no wonder you’re shattered, that was quite a day. I hope your mum gets good news over the skin cancer. I know there are several kinds which are easily treated, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed . But it’s one more worry to add to your long list. So sending you hugs, and I prescribe a couple of G& TS, they’re medicinal today.

xxx

Thanks flowers. It is a bugger and Mum clearly more worried than she lets on. I’m focussing on it having been caught early and hopefully easily treated. On the opposite end of the scale my daughter and her boyfriend are sooo excited about their first home together - not quite sure what happened to my little girl. She’s gone and growed up!! Makes me happy to see her so happy. Xxx

Oh Janey - I’m sooo sorry to hear that about your Mums skin. Yeh - my fingers are crossed for her too.

But that’s great on your daughter being soooo happy.

I’m hoping to get out on a walk tomorrow, so I’d best get to bed. It’s a womens walking group, based in the Wirral, which is like Cheshire by the sea. Haven’t been out with them before, so it’ll be interesting. Meet some more new people.

Where is Charys?? Is she away at the mo’ ??

I’ve got to seriously get down to looking for a replacement car this week. Will be consulting AutoTrader. Already have some searches operating with them.

Hope you all have a good Sunday and that it’s a headache free one for you Lesley. Enjoy your snipping Helena.

Love and a big warm hug to each of you.

Morning all the Willows

It is absolutley beautiful here this morning the sun is beaming through the window, thank god they were cleaned last week otherwise I woulbe tempted and I dont think my shoulder will like it today,

Lesley - hows the head today.

Ruby - hope you get the energy to at least have a wander round your garden today, it is beautiful here today xx

Janey - hope you managed to have a decent night sleep xx

Lily- have you ordered your mug yet? Cant wait til mine arrives.  It is amazing how a comment about having one has taken off so much and will mean so much to us all.  It almost cements our virtual friendship in a real way xx

Dizzy - dont know about you but i am suffering a bit today frommy gardening yesterday.  The one thing that worries me about all this is I have only done a little bit of cleaning and cleaning, nowhere near what I used to do, and I am aching, I hope that it is not going to cause me problems when I start bowling as that can be for 2/3 hours at a time :frowning:

Clair - what are you up to today, any more lovely walks, if so we need the pics, think you have sent your sunshine to Birmingham today

Beth - hope you are having a lovely relaxing weekend with hubby xx

Well off to make coffee and eat croissants catch you later xxx

Morning all!

It’s a bit cloudy and damp herecthis morning, but I’m hoping it’ll be sunny later. I have no ill effects from yesterday, so I’ve already done half an hour’s weeding in the front, and been to the allotment with husband and tape measure to measure up for some improvements we need to make.

Today we’re off to Sunday lunch with my sister and BIL and my mother,( Yalbury Cottage again, my favourite place) I’m paying for it from my health insurance payment. It seems weird to have made a profit out of all this angst, so it seemed like karma to spend some of it on celebrating the end of treatment.

Delly, hope you have a lovely walk, and Helena, hope the shoulder is better. Maybe you need to start doing some gentle exercises to get the bowling arm back to full strength?

Janey, hope your day isn’t too strenuous, and Lesley, hope the headache is better today.

Hope all the fluffy willows have a good day, catch up later

xxx

Good morning gorgeous Willows,

Yes, head is fine today, thank you for asking.  Sun is just peeping out from under the clouds so looks as if it ps going to be nice again today.  Had a stroll done to get the papers, now read, coffee drunk, himselfs finished his crossword and I’ve two clues  left which he’ll play his usual game with, instead of just telling me the answer, he goes on giving me more  cryptic clues until I reach screaming point.  My brain just not do cryptic.

Dizzy, what a great way to spend the insurance money, enjoy your lunch.

Helena, yes do those exercises, some of them are very similar to the start off ones they gave me to do before and after my physio for my frozen shoulders to keep everything moving.  You want to be firing on all cylinders when the bowling season starts.

Delly, that walking group sound great.  I’ve been meaning to join one here but as I don’t drive I can’t get to lots of the meeting/start off places which is a shame as there are some really good walks I’d like to do.  There are a couple that meet locally and walk through our local woods so will give them a go when I’ve not got so many appointments.

Yes Lily, I think you should get commission of the mugs.  Haven’t ordered mine yet.  Going to wait until I know I’m going to be at home for a few days running to take in deliveries.

Janey, so glad your daughter is happy, if she’s happy, you’re happy as you said.  Hopefully all will turn out well for your mum.

Clair, make the most of your last day of freedom, back to school for you tomorrow.

Rubycat, Charys and Beth, and everyone else I haven’t mentioned, including Ann in NZ, hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday

Xx

Afternoon willowy lovelies

been out to watch my niece play rugby again this morning. They take it all so seriously and definitely don’t take any prisoners!! Must say I did holler quite frequently lol

i don’t know what’s going on but I’ve been so sore this weekend. My node scar is looking red and lumpy and I have this burning pain around where my boosters were, and down the side of my breast. I’m hoping it’s the aftermath of that damn long drive and nothing else. If it doesn’t settle in the next few days I’ll give the non existent BCN a call.

I am dreading going to work tomorrow but what will be will be. It will be interesting to see if he says anything to me at all - and what ever is said, I am going to write down. You never know when I may need it in the future.

All you ladies seem to have been very busy this weekend.  You are are putting me to shame. My garden is a shambles and we’ve stuff to do at home but it’s all going to have to go on hold whilst the job fronts are sorted for hubby and me. But as my darling hubby has said, we have beaten worse than this in the last year, and that is very true and is something I will keep reminding myself of this coming week.

I will get there!!!

sending you all such huge cwtches and apologies I’ve not mentioned you all one by one.
