Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

We are going to Southampton IKEA on the way back from daughter moving!

Beth, I’m glad at least the procedure worked so she can eat enough to start gaining weight. But bless her and you, she’s between a rock and a hard place. You have so much on your plate at the moment, I’d forgotten till your post the other day that your husband has redundancy looming as well.

But we’re all in your corner, you are dealing with all this amazingly. It’s just a shame you have to put up with the insensitive idiot you work with, when all these other things are going on as well.

Charys, I used to like going to IKEA until two of my children got their own flats, and now every time we visit we need to take them there to buy something else. We have a vintage seven seater people carrier, left over from the days of taking kids and their kit backwards and forwards from university. So now it is the IKEA delivery system, we’ve had the poor thing loaded to the roof many a time. It’s not going to last all that much longer, so tomorrow we need to wedge a king size mattress in there somehow. I’ve seen us have to unpack everything from their boxes in the middle of the car park before now. So the thought of wrestling with an enormous mattress is not very appealing…

Love these cutie kitten and puppy pics! Just what I need!! Xx

If you’re looking for something that will make you smile, this will do the trick… I love this!!! facebook.com/boredpanda/videos/10154987626459252/

Dizzy

Good luck today, virtually by your side xx

Beth and you virtually by your side, as Clair says it is nearly the weekend and you can forget about the idiot of a partner you have.

Well the sun is shining here and it is promising to be a nicer day, might have a wander round the garden later to see what is poking itself out of the soil.

Love and hugs to you all xxxxx

Beth and Dizzy I shall be channelling virtual vibes for you both. I had an appt with GP this morning and she was lovely, so I’m feeling well supported. She’s booking to see me every month until I get genetics through and supporting work but no patient contact. Apparently system says I’m seeing the surgeon in March for review - news to me?! I hope the sun is shining in your bit of the fluffy world! Xxx

Thank you all for being in my pocket, I had a really positive oncology appointment. I saw the registrar, and she was lovely. It’s amazing the difference it makes when they are friendly and supportive. So it was a quick examination, and then discussion about the Tamoxifen. She seemed to think it would be no big issue if I had to stop it altogether, which is reassuring, and definitely they’re only talking about five years in any case. She did agree that all the hormone treatments make it hard to lose weight and easy to put it on.

So that’s it, apart from annual mammograms and the op on my good side, I’m done, walking forward away from the door to the cancer centre. It’s made me feel a bit soppy really. But I feel really well now, and looking forward to getting on with loads of the stuff that’s been on hold.

Sitting beside me in the waiting room was a pretty young girl, she looked about twenty at most. But she was talking to the person with her about starting radiotherapy. I don’t know what she has, but it seems so sad at that age.

Dizzy you deserved a good appointment after all the toing and froing last year. Hard to see a youngster there though. My blood has been with labs for 3 weeks. Apparently it can take 12 weeks for the results but there is a suggestion I may know sooner. I think time with my daughter when she arrived last night hit home a bit.
Enjoy IKEA I’m going to have a spend next week. Clair have fun with your daughter. I’m with you on the spending time but with Helena on shopping! Xx

Cant believe what I have just seen in our garden, we were sitting having our croissants and a fox came into the garden.

Now we are used to having them in the road and have seen and heard them down by the canal at night time, but I have never seen one in our garden in the 16 years I have been living here, amazing.  I think it was more scared of me than the other way as it went very still when I stood up

Hello Willows,

just a quick pop in.  Well done Dizzy, so happy for you, onward and upward all the way now xx

Catch up later.  Been busy today, having had permission yesterday from the ounsellor to leave the housework I actually did some today then got stick into my knitting.  Beautiful day here, too nice to be indoors really but had to strike while I felt  like it xx

That’s fab news Dizzy I’m so glad your appointment went well, not so happy about the tamoxifen weight gain bit though :frowning:
You totally deserve that Cream cake xxxx
Janey that’s also fab that your Dr is supporting you through this it makes such a difference. I’ve got everything crossed that it’s all good news for you.blooming waiting is just the worst thing. Xxxx
I think I’m going to get hold of the Bc team and see when I’m supposed to see them as I’ve heard nothing at all.
Hello lovely Lesley go steady with that housework malarkey the dust only reappears again when your not looking  xxx.
Helena I thought foxes only go out at night? We’ve got one that struts down the road at silly O clock in the morning making a right racket. I always worry that it’ll go for our cat if she’s out.
Beth I hope your day was ok I’ve been thinking of you xxxx
We had a lovely day today we even had a bit of lunch that’s twice I’ve eaten out this week I could get used to this .I’ve brought a bottle if my favourite wine and I’m going to enjoy it tonight, Cheers to anyone who wants to join me xxx
I just can’t believe how quickly this week has gone by its back to work Monday :frowning: have a fab weekend everyone lots if love Clair xxx

Helena, no the fluffy willows are stuck with me. I still need my comfort blanket…

Clair, we need to swop daughters, mine hates shopping, and I could shop all day if I get enough coffee stops.

My daughter and I either play board games or bake together, the same things we’ve been doing together since she was tiny.

Janey, I forgot about your busy weekend going up and down the country to move your daughter, don’t wear yourself out with the heavy stuff.  Hope it all goes well.

Oh, how cool would that be if we all had the same mug?  I’d even drink my vino out of mine, and Janey could slurp her G&T out of hers xx

I’m going to get that mug <3. Xxx
