Optimissy

Oh you are going to fit in so well on this thread :)  We are all a bit silly on here.

Helena xx

Hello lovelies,
fab news Ann and another step forward Helena it’s brilliant that everyone is going in the right direction.xxx
Welcome Optimissy xx
I’m so looking forward to a relaxing weekend and finally getting to see my little grandson in person on Sunday.
It’s been a very draining day I’ve found that coach travel and me don’t get on anymore, I feel so sick or maybe it was a combination of sitting for 3 hours listening to info for an inset day and having to travel. I’m off for a nap catch up later xxxx

Good evening all. Yay for Friday evening and a huge Yay for you Ann and you Helena too. Welcome to you Optimissy - we need extra help keeping Lesley in order! I had the long awaited genetics letter, to realise it was a letter confirming outcome of appointment and that I have another 4 - 8 weeks to wait for results. It’s amazing though, as they have obtained my grandmother’s notes!
Have wonderful weekends - I reckon yours will be the best Clair. Love and Gardeners World to you all xxx

Evening all

welcome optimissy!! Come join the gang. Xx

ann - fantastic news on the check up! Such a relief after waiting all this time xx

helena - you really sound like you are moving on and I am so very happy for you. You sound so calm and you give me confidence and hope that I will get to that stage too at some point. Thank you xx

clair - get some rest, sounds like you’ve had a busy day. Enjoy Sunday with Macsen!! He’s going to love his nana!

Janey - amazing how they track family records down. Good that they are being so thorough.

I I had a lovely lunch with my friend today. We were happily chatting away, telling her all about the crap in work when a couple were seated on the table next to us…it was my business partners best friend and his wife. You couldn’t make it up could you?!!  Thankfully we were on dessert by then. Good grief heh?

not long till the rugby now…come on Wales!!!

Xxx

Had just to dip in as someone mentioned this thread is going thru a promiscuous stsge! Haven’t been able to find all the rampant sex stories or porny pics*( thank goodness re this last*)

Maybe I’m a day too late… not an early bird, me. Moijan ???

Oh Beth, what a thing to happen!  I bet you nearly choked lol.  I did something really embarrassing today, I’ve been debating with myself whether to mention it on here and thought, heck, think they know me well enough by now so here goes - this lunchtime after an appointment with the bank himself and I popped into the pub, I was having a coffee I hasten to add, standing at the bar waiting for my coffee I had a sneezing fit and out popped a bottom burp!  It happened just at a quiet moment too, it was only a little squeak but pretty sure people around me heard it even though Himself didn’t.  I just acted really cool and pretended it didn’t happen though I’m sure I went red in the face.  Can’t take me anywhere.  Right Gogglebox is starting, love it xx

This same person also regularly sends wrong texts to people, meant for others and emails to the wrong people. It seems that she accidentally sends inappropriate messages to the very people she is moaning about or slagging off, causes all sorts of trouble I can tell you. You’ve gotta be careful with modern technology haven’t you, one click of a button and …voila…a seriously offended person at the other end. Anybody else wanted to run to the cable and cut it off hoping that it will stop an email sending ?.. lol

Ha Charys, I once received a text moaning about me in error, when the person realised what they’d done they immediately sent another one trying to get out of it.  Fortunately for them I saw the funny side of it and didnt take  offence

??? Lesley you’ve made me roar. Beth I hope they now realise what an arse their friend is!! Xx

This couple arrived long after we’d been discussing my work thankfully so there’s nothing to fear. It just meant that we stayed talking about other stuff!!

I embarrassed myself lunch time…I had gulped down that high caffiene fizzy drink…red bull, in a hurry and slipped quietly, into the back pew of the church where there was a memorial service. i was keeping a very low profile…but singing quietly with everyone ( as you do). A tribute to one of the family was read out next and in a silent moment I accidentally burped ( a real one, not a botty burp) and it really was the wrong time and place…

just had to bury my head in the order of service and keep my head down…

Mx

OMG if you could see me at the moment, I bought 140 or so skeins off ebay and I am sat on the floor surrounded by them all, I didnt realise just how much there would be, sorting them into the colour, greens, blues etc., flipping heck and I have another 45 on the way.  I think I might be busy going forward but so excited about what my next design is going to be as I have nearly finished the one I have been doing this week.

Hope everyone is well today and got something nice for the weekend.

This thread is going downhill fast, next we’ll be back to the knickers in the wrong place, and the epilators getting tangled…!

What a lovely day, I’ve just spent two hours labouring away at the allotment, and that is the only work I’m going to do today. I think there’ll be a beach and some ice cream happening this afternoon.

I just heard yesterday that my neighbour has kidney cancer, she had breast cancer about six years ago. I don’t know if this is a secondary or a new primary. They say it’s small and can be operated on, so that’s good. She was the lady who cried with me when i was telling her about mine. I haven’t talked to her myself yet, her husband was telling mine.

Janey, i really felt for you seeing that letter from the genetic counselling people and thinking it was the result, your heart must have been in your mouth.

Ruby, loved the picture. And it is so true, you can always guarantee there is someone there when those embarrassing moments happen. I’m still waiting for a mishap with Bertha, it nearly happened with the first prosthetic I got. I remember reading about one woman who had to swim after hers…So I have lashed out on a pocketed swimming costume for my holiday in May, which is suddenly not seeming that far off…

Helena, i agree with you about camellias, they look lovely, and I love the evergreen foliage, but they create a lot of clearing up again. My efforts are all at the allotment at the moment, but I will get to grips with the garden as well soon. My big job is to cut the big shrubs down, the buddleia is huge because I didn’t do it last year, and I have a black elder which also needs cutting back. And I only got round half the roses…So many jobs to do, and I only want to do them when the weather’s nice.

Ladies

Hope you dont mind I wanted to share the finished product with you, I am so proud of myself in doing this, there are a few areas I could have done better, but its my first attempt

Wow, that is beautiful Helena, and I love the cat! Or dog, I’m not 100% sure which it is, but it’s very cute.

I’m! not a great fan of bamboo, it looks nice to start but it starts to look dried out and tatty when I’ve seen it. But there are some really delicate pampas grasses, so that would get my vote.

I can’t believe you’ve finished that tapestry so quickly, it was only a couple of days ago you had all the background to do.

Rubycat has peed her pants? Hope that situation has been resolved, and she’s not still sitting in it?!

Moijan, a bright and cheery hello right on back to you! Do you know, I’ve not been to a library in many many years, are they still being well used do you think ?

This is my new posting strategy, it’s probably annoying for everyone, but I read a few and then make a post, read a few then make another post. LOL

I’m never going to be able to forget the anniversary of my first operation, it’s my wedding anniversary. The year before, we celebrated our thirtieth by going back to the same hotel as we stayed in for our honeymoon, we said at the time we’d go back for our silver wedding. But we couldn’t because Mike’s mother was very ill, so we put to off till our thirtieth. And now the anniversary will always have a different meaning. It was a bit surreal on the day thinking back to other anniversaries.

The other thing that will be strange…Last year I went away on holiday knowing I had a mammogram when I got back. And this year, that’s going to happen again, I have an appointment with the surgeon the day after we get home, and the mammogram the same day.

So Charys, I completely get what you mean about anniversaries, i already have butterflies thinking about it.

Rubycat, that’s great news about the neutropenia, I hope all the other things improve as well. My son takes Amytriptiline for his IBS, they tried every drug under the sun and nothing helped. Then they gave him Amytriptiline and he’s been fine ever since. And he sleeps well as a bonus.

Helena, sorry, yes, definitely a cat!

Evening all fluffies

my, you lot have been busy today…there’s two pages to catch up on!!

gardening - I am soooo not green fingered. I love having pots with flowers in the garden but no matter what I do, they always end up looking awful lol

botty burps - I can remember being around 11 or 12 years old and my mum having friends over for coffee. I sneezed and had a Botty burp at the same time. I was horrified and even now, 33 years on I am still horrified at it!

Sewing - buttons and wonderweb stuff is the limit of my capabilities lol. I do so admire all you artistic types!!

clothes is my thing in that sense. I would be a brilliant personal shopper and can find anyone an outfit. I frequently get my friends to try on stuff they never would otherwise and 9 times out of 10 they love it. Perhaps I should find a job like that!!

had a good but busy day today. Not feeling too great this evening though. Really tired - the sort where you just have to lay down and nothing else will help. Feeling queasy too but that may be these antibiotics. All in all, I’m feeling Weird.

Clair have a fantastic day tomorrow visiting handsome Macsen. He is a beauty!!

sending you all hugs and cwtches

Good evening windy Willows, seems we’ve all got a story.  Beth, I was out on a first date in my teens and the bloke plied me with alcohol until I threw up, while doing so I did a bottom burp and was so mortified I refused to take his phone calls after even though I really liked him.  So funny as I wasn’t that bothered about the puking, just the popping.

Today instead of our usual walk my friend drove us to her daughters for lunch.  A lovely drive all through beautiful countryside, about an hour and a half, after we went shopping.  Got home about 5.30.  I had a BC charity bag delivered today asking for clothes, so just spent an hour clearing out my wardrobe, i not only filled that but three black bin bags as well so now have plenty of room.

Beth, that’s your new job, personal shopper for women who font know how to dress, plenty of them about.

Read the last few posts but have to go back a few pages to catch up on you all.  I think Clair is in Wales meeting Mascen this weekend so looking forward to photos, how exciting for her.  Hope everyone is ok xx
