Thanks WonderFluffs,

Merry Christmas Day to all of you too. Have a lovely lovely day everyone.

Helena, did I read somewhere - you’re cooking venison?? Right, I’m in the car now !!! Can be there in an hour, as the road’s are sooo quiet.

Hope you’re having or have had a good journey Janey, and your feeling better from your nasty lurgey. Goes for the rest of you too who’ve not been well.

The sun’s just come out here and the sky’s clearing. Just had a chat with bessie, Karen, to wish each other Merry Xmas and thank her for the cute but torturing cat calendar and pack of yummy mini Florentines (Not too sweet so suit my not so sweet tooth. Have eaten four already - yum num num). Her Mum’s staying with her who has dementia, keeps repeating herself (bless), so asked Karen to remember me to her several times!!!

Chicken and roasted Mediterranean vegetables for me.

Loadsa love to everyone

Merry Christmas fluffies!

hope you’ve all had a good day so far. It’s wet and really windy here so no afternoon walk here either.

Hubby and pooch are fed and watered, the washing up has been done and I’m now on the sofa with a glass of wine and I’m not moving until bedtime!

Thank You for your special message, Charys darlin - and yes, thanks to you lovely lot I’m connected to through the ether, and a couple of good friends who’ve phoned, I am  not feeling so alone. It all helps tremendously to redirect my mind away from the poignancy of Xmas for me, it being a painful reminder of family lost, when it’s all very much about family. But at the same time, I’m always cheered and gladdened to read and hear of good happy family times being had by others. Just well fed up that none of you took me up for adoption tho’. Did someone tip you all off I wonder??!

BethyBoos - Keep trialing that Sloe gin, girl. If it’s as effective as you say for quelling hot flushes, I think you and I ought to go into the production business together - you have the business acumen and skills, I have the  tasting  skills (yehhh, hic!). We’ll easily sell a couple of hundred bottles with just this lot on here alone!! You know what a boozy lot they are, especially that LesleyLush woman. And the number of times Janey’s mentioned reaching for a gin and tonic!!

xxxxxxx

Special Xmas wishes to you Delly & hope today is ok for you ??
We’ve just finished clearing up after having my parents over & YS. My father’s 91 now, mobility not great, but he’s now back home in his comfy chair watching Strictly, so that’s a relief!
Happy Xmas everyone & ? to you all

i think we may struggle selling our sloe gin as we’d have to taste EVERY bottle before it went out! I must say, I am enjoying my new found tipple and it is going down a treat. Not going to help the old diet thing though I fear (not to mention the huuuuuuge chrimbo dinner ? and copious numbers of quality street) so back on it after Boxing Day. We’re off to see the new Star Wars film tomorrow afternoon just in case I’m too sore to do much after Wednesday.

I hope you’ve had a good day lovely lady and I’m glad you’ve been able to keep entertained with us lot on here.

Back to my gin now lol xxx

Delly

im having my little lump removed on Wednesday in the day surgery part of the breast clinic. Roll on!

Lovely Delly

what are you apologising for? You’ve said nothing wrong at all!! It’s a day I’ve been counting down to for a while so bring it on!

No sad face lovey lady, I’m good here!

Xxx

Good Morning Fluffs

Happy Boxing Day

BethyBoos - I think it’s coming back to me now ref your lump. Is it that it’s been a bit of a mystery as to what it is, so it’s being removed anyway? Have I got that right now?

Went to bed around 2, but woke up 7.30 to a lovely clear starry sky, so thought I’d stay up and watch the sunrise with it being so clear. If I look out of my bedroom window and to the left, I can see the Derbyshire hills and Macclesfield Forest about a mile away, directly from behind which the sun rises. The most stunning, vividly coloured Turneresque (Ooooo, get arty farty me! Haha) sky this morning. Am now sat with our friend and hero David on in the background, Planet Earth on Yesterday channel, but feeling sleepy. I’m not going to give in tho’. Shall go make a strong coffee, splash some water on my face, get dressed, make a bacon butty (I’m a brown sauce with girl) and then . . . . do some Janey jobs!! - more pot bashing on the long abandoned mountain to get the kitchen a bit clearer, change my bed (don’t dare tell you how long it’s been since) and maybe even give the bathroom a quickie. Shall try a walk later if it’s gonna stay beautiful like this, either in the large park just round the corner or down to the canal. see how the feet feel to begin with, as they weren’t up to it yesterday, even with soft cushioned trainers with memory foam insoles, which is a frustrating bummer.

No doubt pop in later. Hope everybody looking in has a lovely day.

Lotsa love, DellyWellyTinkellingDingDong  xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning and happy Boxing Day all,

Hope you enjoyed your day yesterday.  Delly, that sounds like a plan, get some jobs done then a nice walk, it’s a lovely day here too though I havent  got the lovely view you have.

Yesterday was an enjoyable quiet day, just the two of us.  My dinner was a bit of a disaster though.  I decided as just the two of us not to do a turkey so did beef, it was a tough as heck, Himself said he’d save some for when his shoes needed resoling.  Luckily the veggies were lush.

Off today to spend the day at friends.  Will be a bit  different from yesterday, all her 5 children will be there plus 12 grandchildren, I’ve only just recovered  from the noise of last Boxing Day.

Have fun whatever youre doing  xx

Morning fluffies

Hope everyone had a really great christmas day.

Delly I can report, and not to make you too jeal, that the venison went down very well as did the accompanying sauce.  We didnt eat until 8pm as we started the day quite late as it was.

I several crafty presents, two cross stitch kits, which are gong to be a challenge as I have never actually done it before, only my interpretation of it, but I want to do it properly so going to call on one of our lady bolwers who is an expert to get me on the right road.

Beautifully sunny here today and blue blue skies, however the weather forcast for us is not good tonight with a 60%-70% risk of snow and a yellow warning.  I am on holiday all this week so I am not going to have to contend with it tomorrow morning, yay.

Right off to wash the pile of dishes that I left yesterday as I really could not be bothered to do them.

Have a lovely Boxing Day and to complete the pics on here from me, loved this one.

Lush -  What a shame on the beef!!! Did you buy it from a butchers, or a supermarket?? I’d make a special visit and take what’s left of it back, before it festers, and ask the manager to eat a bit of it. Get your money or a voucher back. Tell 'em or you’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on. Tesco’s/Sainsbury’s are struggling more to keep customers, with the likes of Lidl and Aldi to go at. Go give 'em some gently assertive stick Lush. They need to be told, as to keep their suppliers in check. Have a boisterous fun day today then. Hope you’ve dosed up on the head meds to counteract the noisy kids.

Helena - You’re such a tease. Glad it turned out good and tasty. But just to warn you, I had a text from Santa this morning, after I told him yesterday you’d eaten poor Rudolph. He said he was shocked and wont be delivering to you next year!!! :smileymad:

Enjoy your day everyone

Hope everyone has had a lovely relaxing Boxing Day.

Well the snow that they forcast for around 10pm tonight has started two hours early and is laying, I am so glad I do not even have to think about going out tomorrow.

You ve had so much snow already this year ! Our Christmas and boxing day hasn’t been great…other half with a temp and flu (yeah proper flu). I think in the SE we are forecast some snow from early am.

Hope the OH feels better soon, Charys. As ever, bugs & holidays do go together unfortunately ?
Wind & rain here at the mo, we’ve not had any significant snow for a couple of years now, but looks like it will clip our corner of the SE tomorrow.
