Delly sounds a fab idea to go foraging ? Xxx
we were planning on going out for a walk today but looking at the weather and the fact it’s freezing I think we’ll stay in the warm and watch a film. Have a lovely day whatever your doing and stay safe if your affected by the snow
Love and hugs to you all xxx
Morning glories! We head home later today. Sussex cold and drizzly, so hoping no snow for our travels. Beth, will be thinking of you today and hope all goes well. Charys, I hope OH soon on the mend. Flu has been rotten this year. Love to all of you and keep warm and dry xx
Beth - Good luck for today hope everything goes well xxx
Clair - I am really glad I dont have to go out today, the snow is nowhere near as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago, it is very slushy. It snow for a good 4/5 hours that I know of but the traffic is moving well in the road so all good xx

Beth, thinking of you today, hope all goes well.
Janey, safe journey back from Suusex, hope the roads are okay.
Charys, hope the OH is better soon, shame it’s put a damper on things this Christmas. So many people have been poorly in the last couple of weeks, typical!
Well, my youngest one goes in half an hour and I’m missing him already! It always makes me sad to see them go again. But the other two are here for another week, which is lovely.
Have a good day Fluffies, hope you keep warm and safe, we have lots of ice but no snow.
Well, I’m currently at work, dodging in & out the sleet & snow & it’s freezing ??!
Thought I was going to have an office day today, but am out & about covering a colleagues work.
Anyway, better get on…
Stay safe everyone

Mornin Lovelies
Nope - no snow here, or rain, only slightly breezy and little bit cooler. In fact the sun’s just breaking through. So I’m so surprised at yours Helena, you not being that far away, well 80 mls!! Haven’t yet seen the forecast, so maybe we’ve got some white stuff on the way too.
BethyBabe - Hope everything goes well for you today. Have got some extra strength Sloe gin at the ready for your return home, but we must save some for your results, as I’m guessing they wont be immediate.
Janey - Crikey, that was a quick flit East for you. Hope you’re journey back is easy and safe, though guess it’s going home day for most, or hit the sales traffic, so maybe not so quiet for travelling.
Oh no, Charys, poor hubby. Awwww, what a shame. Hope he’s feeling better soon and that you can perhaps do some making up for at New Year?!!
Claireee - Foraging!! I’m talking BIG here. I’m expecting barrel loads from you and Dizzy.
Dizzy - Hope you’re recovered now from your lurgey and it didn’t marr you’re festivities (or appetite!). Yeh, it must twing at your heartstrings for you Mums, saying Bye.
Have told LadyHelena, on the Need a Hug thread, to try Ostrich steaks next year, as they’re not needed to pull Santa’s sleigh (unless the Aussie’s go short on reindeers, that is). That way, she can gain her Xmas Eve delivery points back. Same goes for Lush, know you’re a bit partial to Rudolph. (Have to admit, I have partaken and reeally enjoyed occasionally myself, with the then nearby New Forest area being plentiful in, but I’m not going to admit that, am I !! Naughty me.)
Lotsa love to everybody, Dellypoos xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Afternoon fluffies
back from the hospital and all done with half a dozen stiches to show for it. It was much more clinical than I was expecting and done in theatre with everyone all gowned and masked up. Never realised that the big round light above an operating table was that big and that bright! Completely different to when I had a big mole removed a couple of years ago which was done in a room by a nurse lol and that had 17stitches!
anyways, the lovely surgeon said she doesn’t think it is anything to be concerned about, and that it looked like some kind of scar tissue, possibly from the rads. It’ll go off to pathology now, and could take 6 weeks for the results to come by post. I guess if they were worried they’d put a rush on it so I’ll take that and run with it.
Hubby is looking after me and has offered to make food tonight ?so look out!
Hope all is well with all you lovely ladies xxx
That all sounds good Beth, rest up and enjoy being waited on. We all it’s not just the physical part that can get to us but the worry too so I’m glad it’s over for you massive hugs and much love xxxx
Beth, great to hear it’s all over and looks okay, now it’s time to put your feet up and take it easy for a bit. If it’s going to be a bit slower healing, it’s a good excuse to be pampered. Sending you hugs.
xxxx
Bethy - Just passing you a mahoosive glass of the extra strong S.G for being such a brave girl - Cheers me dear. Really - 17 stitches for a removed mole? Blimey, it must have been big. Hope your wound heals quickly. xxxx
Speedy recovery, Beth & that ‘mahoosive ? of SG’ as Delly says, sounds like a good idea & well deserved!

Afternoon fluffies, hope you all have this lovely sunny weather, it makes a nice change from all that drizzle. I think it started getting dark here before four o’clock yesterday.
Beth, hope you’re not too uncomfortable today, and Janey, you’re recovered from your long drive yesterday, I expect the weather and the traffic were a bit of a pain. So I hope you had a huge G&T when you got back.
Love and hugs to all
xxxx
Afternoon Fluffs,
Corrr, another bright crisp sunny day here again, with just a smattering of snow on them there Derbyshire hills to make it even prettier. Honestly, we’ve been so lucky here over the Xmas break compared to your reports of elsewhere. Think it was said on the radio, we may be in for some snow tonight, but we’ve kept being missed so far, so not gonna hold them to it.
There’s a planned walk N.Y.'s Day, with this all Ladies group I haven’t yet been able to meet and join with, in the Lyme Park estate, 15 mins drive away, which is beautiful. For all you who watched and loved the tv series of Pride and Prejudice, Lyme house was used as Pemberley, and the Mere in front was where Colin Firth swam and famously rose from, all dripping wet and looking very mannishly handsome (Ooooo-errr Calm down girls!!!). Hoping I’ll be up to going, but am still very unpredictable, mentally and physically, from one day to the next.
Feet not too bad today, so managed 2 circuits of the park, which is progress.
Pleased to report the pot mountain has greatly reduced - think I may have earned a Janey pat on the back, but not gonna rest on my laurels. Determined to clear it all once and for all.
Hope you’re not too sore today BethyBoo. Shall keep pouring the odd one to pass to you - keep the hot flushes at bay with. Plus I think it may have pain killing properties too. Let me know, so we can promote and capitalise on its other benefits.
Hope you’re all having a lovely day.

You definitely get a Janey pat on the back Delly! Beth I hope all is going well with recovery and that you’ve warmed up by now Ann. A beautiful sunny day here, even though it’s bitter. A lazy day today, before my sister arrives tomorrow for the New Year. I’m not getting on line much but thinking of you all lots and just about keeping up with the thread! Lovely to all fluffies xx
Woo hoo we have got rain, never been so happy to see it. The snow is almost gone and we are having our bins emptied, our shopping and our new mattress will be delivered tomorrow. The simple things in life
Well I’m glad I put the bins out earlier as the weather has turned very nasty , howling wind and rain lashing down ? DVD day I think xx keep safe where ever you are love and hugs xxxx
Afternoon Lovelies
Well so much for the bad N.W. foreast last night. Had dobbin big flakes floating down this morning, but none of it stayed apart from a light peppering. No wind or rain either. It’s definitely something to do with my presence you know!!! But v v cold. Haven’t done ANYthing today - so tired (probably from doing nothing? dunno)
Clairee - Hows your boob feeling/doing?
LadyH - Ooooooo, new mattress. How you going to christen it??!! (slap wrist Delly!) Another interesting shopping delivery - see what tombola surprises they’ve given you again, than what you ordered.
Janey - Good to see you. Taa for the pat. Am sciving off today tho’. Glad your journeys were safe. Thought your sis was joining you at your M n D’s, but is to be at yours? Enjoy your sisterly reunion. What did you sort for your Dad’s Xmas gift in the end?
BethyBoo(b) - Hope you’re comfey.
Lush, Dizzy, Rubes - you all okay?

Evening all
its absolutely freezing cold here, and blowing a gale which is making it feel even more Baltic. Luckily I had a nice new warm coat for chrimbo so happy days.
Im doing ok. Taking plenty of painkillers and had the joy of changing the dressing myself today which was not fun. I’d forgotten how hard these waterproof dressings are to get off, even after a shower. At least it gave me the opportunity to see what the surgeon had done and it was bigger than I thought. It’s probably freaky looking as it has proper stitches that will need to be removed and not the dissolvable ones or the glued on white steri strip things I had before. By the time those had come off last time, the wound was healed up and all joined together - dark blue stitches was a bit more gruesome than I was expecting. It was still bleeding a tiny bit but I suspect that’s because it was a palava getting the dressing off.
Hopefully everyday will get a bit less.painful and a bit more comfy. I’m also not allowed to do the lymphedema massages on my chest until the stitches come out. ? so that will progressively get more uncomfortable. Booo Effin hoooooooo.
AND I weighed on my scales this morning and I’ve put 3 pounds on over Christmas ?. So if you ask me what I had for Christmas…I got fat. That’s what I had lol ??
shall have to stick to the sloe gin Delly has been providing through the ether. (Almost finished the bottle?)
happy friday fluffies
xxx
Phew I am shattered tonight, no I have not been overdoing things, quite the opposite, I have been trying to wrok out doing one of the cross stitch tapestries that I was given for Christmas. It Van Gough’s Sunflowers, flipping heck it is hard, i had to give up as my head was hurting.
Snow is almost gone here and it has been a lot warmer, we are forcast 12 degrees tomorrow so should hopefully be all gone.
Hope everyone is well tonight and relaxing after Christmas xxxx
Morning fluffies,
