All the shopping delivered, including proper veg. New mattress delivered and bed now made, but oh flip it is going to take some getting used to, it is higher than the old one, obviously but I didnt realise how much ours had sunk over the years, it will be fun climbing!! on to it tonight

Helena, we had a new mattress a few months ago after I got fed up with rolling into the middle all the time. And now I feel like I get onto the bed rather than into it. It’s very comfortable, but so stiff and heavy it takes two of us to change the sheet, not something I thought about when we chose it. And it needed extra deep sheets, my other ones kept coming unhooked. So getting a new mattress was a lot more of a change than I expected.
Well I’m nearly ready to start the New Year new me regime. We have a family gathering tomorrow for New Years Eve, my sister and brother in law and my mother are coming to stay so no one will be driving, my elder two children are still here, so the house will be full. We’ve done yet another marathon food shop (and drink!) But when that’s over and there’s just the two of us again I shall be starting the new resolutions…
It must be the year for new mattresses ? We got a new one a few months ago and it is bigger than our old one I tried a memory foam one but couldn’t get on with it so we got a spring foam topped one and I love it.

I’m looking forward to a new year we’ll be having a quiet celebration and the resolution I’ll be making is to think a bit more and not panic ? xxx

We’ve just got back from a beautiful walk around Kingston Lacey in winter lights with the family and our sons girlfriend so a nice end to the day xxx
Well that was amazing, went to bed at 12.30am woke up at 9.30am - no pain in my hip, shoulder or ankle, what a difference a new mattress can make. MInd you I did have to climb in and out of bed

I just wanted to wish you all a very happy New Year and I hope you all enjoy the festivities today and tomorrow. Although looks like we are all in the main having a quiet night in front of the tv lol. Such party animals we all are lol ?

weve just had a lamb roast and it was all I could do to stop hubby falling asleep afterwards and avoid the washing up ?
he is forgiven though as I sent him off to tesco ths morning to get a newspaper and he came back with ANOTHER bottle of sloe gin. There is no hope for my weight loss at this rate!
i think we will be in bed before 10.30!
