Hello, I am 39 years old and was diagnosed de nova back in October 2022 with mets to my lungs, I am triple positive and was just wondering if anyone else has them in the lungs and how you are all getting on? I’m currently on PHESGO and tamoxifen.

Thank you

Hi disney1985, I was diagnosed last June de novo with pulmonary nodules. HER2+. I’m on Enhertu and pertuzumab.
Were your nodules biopsied?

Hi no mine were never biopsied, were yours? They just said they were and I was treated with paxlitaxol, tamoxifen and phesgo x

Mine were not biopsied either, said suspicious. My last PET scan showed no metabolic activity but there are still some nodules. Did yours all resolve? How do you find the treatment?
I generally feel well but it’s the mental part I struggle with.

My biggest was 11mm now down to 8mm and others have gone from a solid state to a liquid form (they say is good). I struggle mentally with it as have 3 young children and want to see them grow up. X

I get it. I’m 48, I have two daughters 22 and 20. I grapple now with will I see them get married, will I see my grandchildren. I took six months off from my job and went back in February which was good for my mental health but some days are very hard.

Where are you from? Did your breast lump resolve? It’s interesting to hear of others stories that a person can relate

Have you had your breast lump biopsied? I live in East Sussex too and I went to the Conquest hospital but there are other hospitals too that you can be tested at e.g. Eastbourne and Brighton

Hi I was diagnosed with Hers2 triple positive incurable breast cancer in April 2021 with secondaries on both lungs. Because of my age at the time (65). I was put on Herceptin injections every 3 weeks and Anastrazole. After some rather severe reactions initially, my body now tolerates Herceptin. I had no other treatment. Three years down the line I am doing well. The cancer is being kept at bay and although still getting side affects, the latest being osteoporosis due to the Anastrazole, I am still able to lead a relatively good life considering. My next Herceptin injection will be my 50th. A celebration of sorts I think!
