Thanks @lizk . Hope you get on ok tomorrow x
Iām having my 6th lot, out of 12, of Paclitaxel tomorrow then Iāll be half way through. Itās at 11.30am so I can take my time getting up. I canāt stand when itās at 9.30 and I have to drag myself out of bed at the crack of dawn.
Good luck to all you ladies scheduled for this week. Dose 3 next week for me. Some days i just get very sad with it all. Other days I cope okay. Think alot is down to sleep levels and frankly having no flippin hormones left.
I do sleep on my PICC arm side and have had no issues xx
That looks great. Iāve bought a wig that doesnāt suit me at all. Wrong colour and itās got too much hair in it so makes me look as though my head is all hair and no face. My hairdresser said if I took it in sheād cut it and thin it out.
Thatās a relief as Iām getting a picc tmrrw and canāt sleep on one side cos of nodes clearance and mastectomy . I was going to say forget it if they told me I couldnāt sleep on it . I canāt sleep in my back at all
I sleep on the side with the picc line with no worries, although I sleep on the operated side too as no one told me I shouldnāt?!
Best of luck to everyone having treatment this week. Iām into day 4 of my 3rd cycle and feel a bit yak so Iāve eaten insane amounts of food and now feel worse. Going to bed to sulk and cry about my 6 months preggo belly.
Big loves one and all xx
@epic1 @magl and @lizk me too tomorrow, I am TC pesgo so 2/6 for me tomorrow!
@pod123 good luck for Wednesday
Letās go smash this!!!
I had my second round of EC today, Iām just a little concerned that my āOcologists assistantā, who Iāve only ever talked to over the phone has taken me off Filgrastim. Itās because it has affected my breathing and I feel out of breath all the time since having the first course.
Iām just worried now that it will delay my chemo and I can catch infections much easier. Has anyone else been taken off it?
@pod123 you look so natural and beautiful, top choice! @sunshineandunicorns sleeping on picc side with no issue from day 1.
Keep smiling ladies, unless you feel like shite, then come on here and weāll moan and groan together xxx. One for all, all for one.
Yours looks fab
Iām the same as @sharlou @sunshineandunicorns I can sleep on my picc side and my lymph node removal side. Weird positions but able to do so, I have also slept upright which worked too. Trial and error I think, see how you get on. I wasnāt told to not sleep on either side.
I know this has come up before but I had to go to my GP today about being referred for a physio and he asked me if I was having the flu and Covid jabs. I said I didnāt really want to he said consider it especially the flu jab. Iām really not sure I want to do either but have any of you guys done either of these? I remember a few conversations 100 comments back but just wanted to ask. Thanks x
Yes Iāve had both. Covid gave me a painful arm and I felt very tired but it was the day after chemo as mine is weekly. I had covid on chemo day. Flu was fine. I had it the day before chemo. Check when is best to have it.
I had 6 of 12 on Friday. My neuts were 1.04 though so he reduced the strength from Friday. I just hope it goes ahead this week. I asked about injections but was told itās a clinical decision depending on if my neuts are around 1. They have been coming down so expecting them to reduce again or hopefully stay similar. How are your neuts?
Iām using strengthener and cuticle oil as it didnāt work for me last time. I sleep on my PICC line. My head is hurting and expecting to lose alot when I wash my hair later. My new cool cap machine is coming tomorrow!
@nicnac17 yes I had both on Saturday . Was told to do it a few days b4 next chemo. I had both jabs in one arm and apart from a sore arm all fine
I was advised to have both by my oncologist but not together and as close to the end of each cycle. So for me, in week 3.
My family have also got theirs to create a bit of protection for me.
@Linda_Corinne can you tell in your body when your neuts are down. I had my blood test yesterday in readiness for today and I wondered whether I would feel any type of way if my bloods were squiffy?
Just flu jab for me (which is one I would normally get). Had it in my thigh because of lymph node clearance in one arm and PICC in other. No problems x
I havenāt been taken off pegfilgrastim yet but Iām seeing the oncologist today and I suspect itāll be discussed. My breathing is just horrific on it. Iām also worried about possible ramifications on my chemo regime but if I get any clarity later I will let you know
