It’s a river in Egypt
;o)
Took me a while Ninja, ha ha LOL, I must be getting better.
‘I am…’ can only think of ‘I am Legend’ and that is scary in a film where a guy is left alone in Manhanttan to fight off disease ridden zombie nightcrawlers to try to find a a cure…sounds vaguely familiar… maybe I actually am Legend…
Hi all, I’ve been a bit busy, got married yesterday and had a fantastic day, I am now totally convinced that I drank my bodyweight in Tia Maria, wine and champagne. It was brilliant but am now so, so tired so am going to watch some tv and have an early night.
Welcome to the woods to our new woodlanders and hope everyones not suffering to harsh side effect’s.

Millions of congratulations, Saphy!
Did you like Twisted Nipple’s set? I thought “Hi Ho Silver Lining” was absolutely inspired, the highlight of the night.
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an’ pretend
'cause I’ve heard it all before
And I’ve been down there on the floor
No one’s ever gonna keep me down again
CHORUS
Oh yes I am wise
But it’s wisdom born of pain
Yes, I’ve paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Our theme song?
Congratulations Saphy and glad you had a fab day, that is soooo nice - I’m smiling cheshire-cat widely for you…

Congratulations Mrs Saphy! Love and happiness to you both!
I am Cleopatra and I am gonna try to keep those asps away from my boobs!!!
Psssst! I’m not really. She was queen of Egypt when she was 18 and may not have had a long life but it was interesting.
Congrats, Saphy!
Last couple of years I’ve been considering getting fresh fruit and veg box delivered - the supermarkets are getting worse and no really good shop close by. Turns out one of my grandson’s band mates took over his father’s business doing just that. He goes to the market first thing every morning, sorts out the boxes and delivers late afternoon - he also supplies restaurants etc. Can’t wait until tomorrow now!!!

Huge congratulations to Mr & Mrs Saphy - our first woodland wedding!
I hope you appreciated the bevy of beautiful bald bridesmaids wearing an assortment of devastating diva-ish dresses with magnificent matching merkins. Weren’t we a glam lot?
Finally recovered from last night’s (real) musical extravaganza - in the chorus for a charity concert for Macmillan - a re-run of the one wedid in March for othe rcancer charities (including BCC of course). Songs from Rent, Les Mis (we lifted the rafters with One Day More!), Sweet Charity, Chess and loads more. Rehearsed all afternoon then put on the concert in Wellingborough School hall in the evening. Picture it - me on stage, brave, inspirational and exposing my beautifully shaped fuzzy head amongst all those hairies - ha! It was great fun and I think the adrenaline kept me going but I’m totally bu**ered today. My gorgeous OH was one of the MDs (we had 4) and my even more gorgeous daughter sang a duet and a solo. Brought me to tears again!
Ah well, back off to rads rushes for me. No. 14 out of 15 tomorrow, Wimbledon on Tuesday (No. 1 court), then just no. 15 and four boosts to go. Today is six months and four days after DX and I’m almost at the stage of gambolling in the sunshine beyond the woods again! then there’ll only my nightly visit to Tamoxifen Towers and the tender ministrations of the HotFlush fairy.

Huge congratulations Mr and Mrs Saphy!
Congratulations and best wishes to Mr and Mrs Saphy
Congratulations, Saphy!
Congrats saphy.
Need advice folks.
Seeing chemo nurse today. Are there any questions you wish you’d asked?
I should add.
I was admitted yesterday with cellulitis on the mx scar.
I’m on 24 hr iv anti-biotics.
These fortnightly trips are getting monotonous.
Hope I’m not going to make a habit of them throughout this.
Love June
Congratulations Saphy,
Great to hear some good news xx
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Saphy!!!
Alto, enjoy Centre Court, I tried it out for you last year and it was great!
June, snap, had the same with my Mx scar back in Feb while on chemo, they gave me weapons grade antiBs, and repeated on each cycle to keep it away. I managed to stay out of Hospital by being a complete pain and phoning in with the tiniest worry throughout chemo.
I am Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward*
I have completed many top-secret assignments for various organisations. Then I took over as Supreme Commander of the Federal Agents’ Bureau FAB). It was at this juncture in my career that Jeff Tracy approached me with a business offer. I jumped at the chance to work for International Rescue, the job was more than a challenge, it is one that I really enjoy.
I have Parker, my ‘safe-cracking’ manservant, to help me. I kick are.
.
*I’m not really Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, she is the daughter of Sir Hugh Creighton-Ward and his wife Amelia.
What I love about this thread is the totally random things I wander into on here ![]()
Afternoon all. Trying to catch up…

Just popping in to say hello.
Congrats!!! Saphy! (and Mr Saphy)
Life is good here out on the far edge of the woods. Went to GP for 2nd pack of Tamoxifen today. She didn’t ask me how I was or anything. Good thing I’m OK then isn’t it lol. I have a lovely sun tan on my non boob. Skin is ok so I might attempt a “scented” shower product later. Simple soap is just not doing it for me.
Hope the chemo club woodies are staying away from the NHS Travelodge experience. June I’m hoping you are safely back in your tent with those anti bi’s.
Alto we will look out for your beautifully shaped fuzzy head while watching Wimbledon ont telly. Looking at the weather forecast you won’t need the factor 30 to rub on it.
I’m quite jealous of any of you with fuzzy heads. Mine is still quite shiny. White curly hairs are very sparse at the moment (on my head)
Be kind to yourselves!
A treat a day keeps the gremlins away. Group hug x
