Standing outside the dark, dark woods.

Oh SCACO

You do make me laugh with your humour I laughed out loud about hump!!!

Sorry Jo not laughing at you hope the cold eases soon.

xx Ducky

Morning all, its so, so nice to see its busy here in the woods again, a warm welcome to our newbies, I’m sure that you’ll find us all as mad as a box of frogs lol.
Well I had my flu injection last Tuesday on recommendation by the practice nurse although I was concerned about side effects etc, all was fine till the other day when my darling hubby said that where I’d had it done looked a bit red and poked my arm, pfffft then it hurt like hell for a couple of days and is now only just calming down. Don’t you just love hubby’s like that ?
Does anyone fancy a party later in the JM ? I’m thinking that we can get our thinking caps (or wigs) on and name some new cocktails, maybe invent new snacks, canapes, horses doovers etc.
Anyways popping off for a while, will be back and forth as I’m not leaving the woods till I am finished with my five years worth of tablets in around ooooooo 4 years and 5 months time, and thats as long as nothing else arrives to bite me on the bum.

SCACO it’s a very very large hump and no amount of vigorous massaging is going to get rid of it!

Funny how as soon as we rejoice that the woods are busy, everyone butters off! How’s The Hump! Love it SCACO! (Not so nice for you, Jo - hope you’re feeling better). I think we all pottered off for the weekend… anyone else around today? Chocolate macaroons at the Yurt at the moment… Been for a lovely massage this morning… sigh… not long enough… but then, they never are… See you’s later, lassies… Jnae

Dear woodlanders, having been a miserable old bat for a few days. I read your posting and you have cheered me up. I have taken to my nest in the yew tree hiding from the Taxanes side effects. I am now going to pull myself together and make a lemon drizzle cake. Ducky made one a few weeks ago and it sounded nice. I will bring it with some apple cake and clotted cream to yurt tonight. I think we might need a party for the taxed taxers,
007 that head of hair looks good ad does yours ninja. How is the Seroma?
Thank your for making me smile one and all.
Cackles

oh dear… miserable old bats flying around the Woods!!! There is roosting in the roof of the JM… so you can just pop down and get some nectar (or whatever it is that Miz Bats need…)

Hope you feel better after a bit of “sleeping upside down”!!!

Lemon drizzle cake sounds good …

SeromaWatch (like SpringWatch but with fewer bats)

It’s still the same. With both my arms by my sides, the right arm is out at a 20 degree angle. I still cannot wear ANY kind of foundation garment/vest and car travel is excruciating.

How long does it normally take them to go?
had to trim hair with clippers to take off the longest tufts as Bill Oddie was stalking me. It looks a lot more like hair without them.

Pass the cake.
Girl needs cake.

Ninja you poor thing. Hopefully it will just suddenly go but having had one I understand how painful it is …so I will make you a large cake for devouring during the next few weeks. They can take months and then just disappear. Has it been ultra sounded? Although it is early days for that. The best way to get rid of them is to threaten them with steroids or surgery. They always run away before this happens.
See you in the woods
Cackles

MONTHS??

M.O.N.T.H.S.?!!!

Effing hell. I’m in tears over this; it’s like very tight mastitis plus phantom ‘needles in nipples’ pain. Another week I could manage, months? Jesus, no, no, NO.

Ouch Ninja - def a virtual hug, as sounds like a real one would hurt too much.
Jo - How’s your cold and your hump?

Hump watch (like Crime Watch, but with better reconstructions).

Cackles (Tax needn’t be taxing?) - cake sounds lovely, but had huge fish and chips at lunchtime with some of the Shropshire BC Lasses, so am still completely stuffed. Can I take some to put in my lunchbox tomorrow?

Having applied months ago, I’ve got my LGFB appt through - just as my hair is reappearing! Still lacking eyelashes and the goody bag that Ninja described sounded brill, so think I’ll still go along.

Hoping all symptoms ease.
Dx

Cold is horrible and I am still squeaking when I try and talk so the hump has if anything grown, cos I’m totally peesed off. That’s a cross between cheesed and p******d off for anyone who thinks I can’t spell :).
I’ve got my LGFB on 3 November, my hair, eyelases and brows have all reappeared too but still have some gaps in the brows so I’m going anyway.
Ninja have a very very gentle hug from me, not much help I know but I am thinking of you.
Cackles cake sounds lovely, yes please.
X

Could supply a few ducky feathers to fill the gaps in eyebrows!!!

Jo sorry your cold is no better and Ninja seroma sounds awful. I had hematoma after the surgery but it wasn’t painfull poor you.

xxxxx

Yes please to the feathers, I think they will look rather fetching as eyebrows.

“Hump watch (like Crime Watch, but with better reconstructions)”

roflmao!!!

At long last the rolling sicky pains have gone, still knackered but enjoyed the large portion on Lemom Drizzle Cake, and didnt feel nauseous, thanks Cackles.Have put my name down for LGFB class we have 2 months wait, the unit does chair based yoga might try that!I am having Seroma problems too being drained on a 10 days basis, producing each time around 250 mls sometimes more, just find it is tight but not sore cant have prosthesis fitted so still managing “softie”
Found a lovely flat boat on the lagoon and the night is warm and moonlit(In the real world it is B awful)
(HUGS TO ALL)Mavis

I can’t really manage the softie cos I can’t bear to wear any sort of foundation garment. Tight and sore. May have to ring BCN tomorrow - really sick of this.

Dx the shape of your head is beautiful, isnt it amazing we have to go through this to assess our head shape,Stay calm and carry on yours is so brilliant will you keep it like that I love it.
Mavis

My goodness - the woods have become quite a damp and dreary place to be recently. What can we do to brighten things up a little? I am feeling a little better on day 6/7 post TAX #2 so could lend a hand as long as it doesn’t involve ladders and/or NE.

I am out on evening patrol with Buggerit and the flame thrower as I am not convinced that our borders have not been broken by some unidentified negative gremlin. The woods should be a place of comfort and safety - a place to rest and to party. Come on girls - lets leave the groaning and complaining to the other topics and try and keep it lighter and brighter in here or we run the risk of scaring away the newbies.

I’ve been invited to a Halloween party on the 29th of October so again I will be trawling the charity shops looking for costumes - although I am already halfway there with my baldy head and lack of eyebrows and lashes. Any ideas anyone? And not Uncle Fester! that one is just too easy!!!

Mavis - I’m brave and inspirational as well! lol

But I look nothing like Sinnead O’Connor!

I certainly don’t look like the 2011 version of Sinead O’Connor!
