Standing outside the dark, dark woods.

Morning Woodies ,
the sleep fairies were evicted and sent to help others, so a bit if a late night and early morning for me. Spare sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, tomatoes and mushrooms in my tent if OH has left any. Haven’t got GIJane’s marmalade but it is a homemade Oxford produced by my fair hand by the bucket full each Jan.
Meeting Santa today when we take the Rotary Carol Float into Aylesbury. Thus the early breakfast. Life until Xmas taken over by trawling the streets and watching children’s delighted faces. All good for local charities and they do help in the collecting.
Linstar if you look on Chemo in August forum I did a list of what to take into hospital. Others have added to it…don’t forget a small sample from the JM well hidden!!!

sounds fun Cackles… sorry about turning you into a frog!!! If it’s any comfort to you, the hairs on my legs are longer than the hairs on my head, and the stuff OUTSIDE the bikini line is even longer and back first!!
Fry up sounds good… on my way…

our daughter went to Coventry and loved it Alto…

I’m off to help OH “man” a stall selling his wood-turning at a craft market. Ever wonder where the fallen trees in the Wood went to? Pepper mills, pens, bowls, vases, key rings, bottle tops…

However, Soddit needs a walk first. Did he CATCH that hare???

Ooooh, more excitement today - I think from her husband’s cryptic Facebook comment that my friend has gone into labour. His third but her first, due on Monday. I’ll soon be a surrogate auntie!!

I should be at the church Christmas Bazaar this morning but OH has had a fishbone in his throat for a couple of weeks and the GP said they won’t even try to sort it out and he needs to go to A&E, so guess where we’re off to soon. As if I haven’t seen enough of the hospital this year!

We thought it might be quiet this morning before all the weekend football and rugby injuries roll in. he works in London so going during the week would be highly inconvenient.

Have a lovely Christmassy Saturday everyone!

Jane xxx

Edited to add: Well, a successful day all round. A lovely ENT Doctor sprayed OH’s throat with local anaesthetic and removed two anchovy bones, and Lawrence David Taylor made a rather hasty arrival into the world at 13:53, weighing 7lb 12oz. Not bad for a very slim mum who, at almost nine months pregnant was described as looking like a drinking straw with a marble stuck up it!

Congratulations all round Alto xxx

Oh well off to my tent to see if I can get another reasonable night sleep tonight.

If not I will be in JM a bit later or brewing coffee in the tent if more like morning.

Wish you all a good nights sleep.

Hi woodies

All quiet in the wood tonight, the sleep fairy has abandoned me so am sitting by the lagoon in the moonlight. Visit to oncy yesterday will soon see me boarding the Hickman line to the chemo hut. Not looking forward to that!!!

Hope everybody else has a good night M

I’ve been wandering around the lagoon to see if I can tire myself out a bit to get some more sleep not found the sleep fairy she is obviously cuddled up with someone who needs her more than me tonight.

Must have missed you Applestreet didn’t see anyone as I passed, just had a nice cup of lemon and ginger tea with some manuka honey in it while sat outside tent by the lagoon and going to try to get some more sleep now, yawnnnnnnnn

Hope you are treading them Rad Rushes paths down well Cackles and finding your way through.

A reasonable nights sleep after a day with Father Christmas and jingle bells. Complete stranger came up to me in M&S coffee shop and showed me her long hair telling name it was a years growth…fine …I was wearing Hairy Haggis and all myLGFB slap…so how did she know!!! Back to the drawing board I am hoping it was just a bit off eavesdropping while sitting nearby!!
I hope newt fishing is going well for those that need them…watch for Buggerits slobbers.

Managed to get a other 3 hours sleep so not feeling too bad at present

Jean. Xx

Decided now I have some energy at last,to put on a pair of heavy boots and follow Cackles footreads on those Rads Rushes.Since my first chemo have been following a book called “The Healing Code” by Alex Loyd and Ben Johnson and doing the healing moves at the end of the book. The book itself takes some ploughing through, somewhat Southern American “bibledom”,felt quite happy doing the code in fact the ritual along with the sleep fairies seemed to help my sleep problem,I then found the healingcodeuk website and decided to do the course itself, which happened yesterday,I was demonstrated on, which was a very loving affair and felt really uplifted. It had been a long day but I came home still with enough energy,to do an evening meal. This morning the Seroma tension has greatly diminished a great blessing in itself. That book was a good investment.

Hi

Sleep fairy found me at 2am but flew away at 5.30, moved tents to the sofa and caught her sister for another 2 hours. YD off on school rave up to Birmingham and as we’re Oop North I was afraid of oversleeping for her early start!!! Never hear the end if she missed the bus not to mention non refundable expense.

Worth the money for a teenager free 48 hrs…bliss…no Scuzz or Kerrang till Tuesday…lovely!!!

Managed to get 5 hours in all so not too bad, not as shattered today, still can’t move into Cackles yew tree, too hard to climb with one hand!!!

Hope everyone else had a good night. M

Hi Mavis certainly sounds as though you are going to get a lot of benenfit from that.

glad you managed to get some more sleep and got the teenager off ok Applestreet.

Hi

It,s lovely here…quiet…wouldn’t like it all the time though!!!

Been fortunate to avoid empty nest when ED grew too old and put away childish things we were lucky enough to foster and get to keep YD who is a joy really, then when she started teenage years, we were even more blessed with ED moving back in and producing baby grandson.

Life’s a proper funny game isn’t it?

See you all in JM later. M

Grr the OH is just moaning (again) about brussels sprouts for dinner.
Am I the only one in the forest who likes them?
Found the sleep fairy for a while last night so not too bad - hope tonight is ok as have to go the Forestry office to work tomorrow.

Applestreet I’ve never had kids so used to it being quiet, but it must be shock to the system for you.
Mavis not sure I fancy the biblical bit… but healing moves sound good. Perhaps should have a look. Shall we all pray for some sleep tonight.

Love to all
Lin

Hi

I LOVE brussels…kids hate them…think you were trying to poison them…OH not keen so just frozen ones in this house!!!

It seems it was pretty quiet in the wood last night, I got an amazing 8 hrs sleep so feeling good again today.

Been sat outside the JM with a nice cold chardonnay off to try to get a few zzzzs now,

Hope everyone gets a share of the sleep fairy tonight.

Morning Woodies,
The sleep fairy is half behaving at night now. She seems to like to waken at about five silly thing. A very quiet day yesterday after helping Father Christmas and his carol float and lots of walking around shops at the weekend. I am gathering garnishes such as holly to decorate my tent. Lots of decorations put up in my old yew tree as a goodbye gesture.
Brussels sprouts are lovely with lots of garlic chestnuts and bacon…yum yum.
Cackles xx

Sleep fairy had me awake again this morning at 5.00.

Had a lovely weekend out of the woods with OH. Christmas Party on Fri night and Christmas Social on Sun afternoon.

Managed a couple of gentle dances, so quite proud of myself this round. Resting up in the tent this week and avoiding the bugs.

Not long now, just get through this week, then ‘the only way is up’.

Love to all
June

I’ll send the sleep fairy back… Just to encourage you all, yesterday I felt as if I had some sparkle back! So different … It DOES get better… Jane
