Woohoo!!! Am I supposed to feel so happy after having so many drugs pumped into my veins??? Probably not but I’m so relieved to have finished chemo - thank you ST and Buggerit for the extra newts!
I’m going to rest up in my tent before getting my map out to find the way to Rads Rushes next month!

Rads rushes just invited me to weave a nest and have a sleep in the sunshine. My right arm has decided to swell and Lymphodema prison looms. Last DXT tomorrow so it might settle.
Now making the Oxford Marmalade simmering in the pot so all invited to breakfast in the morning. It should be set by them.
I have my sixties Biba and Laura Ashley but they don’t seem to fit these days. The blue leather mini skirt so prized in its day can hardly get over my head. Let alone backside. Age can be a sad thing!!!

I am still wandering around with Buggerit between the woods and the Seroma swamps. Going for a walk down to the Rads rushes on the 27th and before that I have the measuring for the “moob” which will fill the gap that was stolen from me in the mx marsh.
AnnieK68 - glad the newts worked! Let me know when you need more, Buggerit needs the exercise and so do I. As for a map for the way to Rads Rushes - I am heading my way there soon so if you want a companion just let me know!
The drinks in the JM are on me tonight - had my one year check-up, mammo, etc today and I’m staying in the Land of NED.
All welcome to the party - I promise I won’t sing, I’m worse than PB.
I’ll keep shining torches and sending up flares from the edge of the Woods - inbetween gamboling in the sunlit fields.
Off to check out flights to SA now.

This final chemo & head are in battle at the mo - head is saying “whoopy all is over” whilst the chemo is saying “err not so quickly!” so I’m battening down my hatches in my tent for the next few days!!
ST & Buggerit, I may need a few newts but I won’t be greedy, just even to get me fit again before rads which start on 15th Feb for 4 weeks. When are you starting ST?

Lovin’ your hair RevCat
Been a while since I’ve been out of Tam Towers so I’m sitting firmly on the hair envy bench before I jog halfway up Herceptin Hill on Monday. Only another 9 sessions to go, then i’ll just be residing in Tam Towers for a while - hoping that I can change my current room (next to the nuclear reactor furnace) for somewhere a little cooler soon.
It does feel odd swimming in the Lagoon in the middle of the night in the middle of January. I’ll round up as many newts as I can whilst out there and leave in a bucket by the campfire for those in need.

It’s taken me so long to get a new pic with hair ,everybody I knew has gone from here! Been trimmed twice now and a bit multicoloured- but at least it’s hair ! Still waiting for results of mammo but apparently no news is good news so holiday booked.
This is still a fantastic thread for keeping people’s spirits up and supporting one another .

I’m having my 2nd trim on Friday, which must be pretty close to the anniversary of when it started to fall out.

Haven’t posted here for ages. Am just clambering out of rads rushes and my skin is raw. However on the subject of hair I had my first haircut in 18 months. The Kevin Keegan look has been banished Hi marygrace we must get out for coffee soon now I have escaped daily visits to hospital. Drinks in the Merkin are on me. Hurrah!,!!!
WOW Margaret what a wonderful new hair cut! All these signs of new life after treatment, it’s just soooooo good. Woods much quieter these days, my little strolls over from Land of NED seem to find fewer folk to wave to… I think that’s a good thing
Evening Woodies, well I am out of the Rads Rushes and after bone scan will be on the route to the hair envy bench. It is now white with black dots. More Dalmation than Cruella. That Yew juice as a lot to answer to. The ET chest is calming down so I just use Fe Mara to keep me warm at night. Not quite in NED but fingers crossed.
Lots f great created newts in the well by the yew tree for all those having poison soon.

It is so quiet in the Woods today. Is there nobody standing on the edge or behind a tree waiting to step onto the unknown paths. If you do you will find “helpmethroughthis” and “bringiton” waiting to guide you to the Land of NED. Read from page one and then you will understand what the woods can offer.
I have skipped out of the Rads Rushes and can see the light at the edge of the Woods shining brightly.

Hi Cackles, it IS quiet here these days isn’t it? Way back at Christams I posted a poem abot the old lost way through the woods… one day, hopefully the way through this wood will be lost, overgrown with Potmaid’s (another thread) snowdrops, year round pansies and any other flower we consider beuatiful. One day people will turn to their grandparents and say ‘what was breast cancer?’… One day the woods will be silent except for the echo of laughter and the memories of those who walked this way…

Glad you’e through rads and hope the ET glow is settling. Dalmatians are rather lovely dogs, and so much nicer than the Cruella De Ville look. Soon you too will be out of these woods and into the pastures beyond… here, I’m unlatching the gate now…
Wow how quiet the woods have become,still in Rads rushes with broken skin but walking through the clearing towards the chapel, we now have lots of snowdrops and crocus and yes Revcat can hear the echoes of laughter from the mad goings on in this happy and also sad place.But then,beyond the chapel and the woods,I hear the laughter and tears of Benchland maybe the woods should become a wilderness again,knowing that Benchland is very near to the chapel clearing and on the outskirts of Nedland.What do you and Cackles and “stay calm and carry on” think?
