Standing outside the dark, dark woods.

Scaredycat, one good thing about excessively hairy legs… less need for extra leg layers in this 'orrible weather. Any Baileys in stock at the JM? Could murder a nice Baileys latte with chocolate sprinkles to keep the cold out (LARGE measure of B ).
Will go down a treat with the lovely spicey bread pudding I’ve brought to my tent tonight. Plenty for everyone if you want a slice xx

How weird, same prob as you JCJ, my edit went on before my post, lets see where this one goes…

Nannab, I love spicey bread pudding and a Baileys would definitely go down well with it.

Kitty, I hope you get a visit from a sleep fairy tonight. If I may I’ll join you in the JM before I go and try some of Nannab’s bread pudding. It will be my first visit to the JM

By the way, has anyone noticed that the clock on the posts are out by an hour. Perhaps someone from the IT department forgot to change the settings.

Time travelling in the Woods now! I read your post BEFORE you posted it Scaredy!

JCJ - I don’t know about Scaredy Cat but that’s scarey. H xx

Whoooo…I saw a blue phone box on the way to the woods today…after I scrambled over…8…yes…8 piles of posts on the pebble path…I heard a strange wooshing noise…sadly I didn’t see David Tennant (don’t like the other doctor)…but I did see a blue phone box…just v quickly…that’s what’s messing with our posts…been in NED today…grandson sitting…well more like fighting the war with a 4 year old…Pompeii is in better shape than my house at the moment…half terms should be banned!!!

Am now repairing to the JM for a much needed drinkie…yes ladies…I know it’s early but the sun will be over the yardarm somewhere in the world!!!..and I’ve deserved it …then I am going relax in my tent… childfree…well till tomorrow anyway where I have been reliably informed I am going shopping for a new fire engine and a moshi monster lunchbox…what the h*ll are moshi monsters…sounds like something to use a flamethrower on!!!

Applestreet, Let me join you, and is there any of that bread pudding left, or should I just root around in the bottomless toblerone box? Shopping for a moshi monster lunchbox sounds quite exciting from here. Cold is beginning to recede–fought off with extra-spicy chili and enough coughdrops to sink a battleship. Now just to get all last weeks tasks done and then I can get to work on this week’s business. It is not helped by the realisation that, even though it is pitch black outside it is only five.

Evening…don’t eat all the toblerones before I get there will you:))
Whoooop blue phone box in Woods…loooooove David Tennant can’t bear new Dr either but I still have to watch it used to live opposite a churchyard years ago…just bloomin glad they hadn’t inventedvthe weeping angels then or I would never have had a wink of sleep, my imagination can be a pain sometimes…
Think I will have a large glass of red with my toblerone, managed to get rid of my cold now too Quail…did take longer than normal though. Then will have an early night and put the dalamtion PJ’s on they’re enough to scare any intruders off lol

Hope you enjoyed the Bread pudding Quail, I just had a bit more, like it when its a day old, its nice and chewy on the outside, soft and sqidgy on the inside.
Kitty, dont watch ‘the Dr’ I speant enough time behind a cushion as a child, with the original daleks and Jon Pertwee (and the one b4 him, but cant remember his name)…, but Grandson told me all about the weeping angels, Im with you on that one.
Hoping to catch a sleep fairy tonight, as Im at work early in the morning for 3 hrs, then taking Grandson swimming in the afternoon, so need lots of energy. Might just have a quick one in the JM to help me on my way…

William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton were the Dr. before Jon Pertwee and heaven knows how I know that as I too used to hide behind the sofa and gave up watching years ago. Therefore don’t know about sleeping angels.
I’m popping over to the JM for a quick snifter. If I see any sleep fairies I’ll send them over but I want them back for Thursday and Friday as I’ve got my grandaughter (7) to entertain.
You’ve given me an idea to take her swimming.

Bread pudding is great… plenty of Baileys in the JM - and anythng else you want, come to that! The sleep fairy flitted in and out all night last night. Had a prescription review today with a lovely GP and I now have some sleepybye tablets… I’ll leave them outside, in case anyone’s desperate.
Wet. windy. And the weather’s not good either!!! Crawling in to tent… just realised that in November I only have 4 days when I’m not either working or on call. December 3… 5 if we don’t have anyone on duty the weekend after Christmas… feel exhausted at the thought!
Need wellies in the woods at the moment…

night… going to read a book by torchlight…

Jane

Think will pinch one those sleepybye tablets thank you xx Making sure tent well zipped cos if Dr Who can get into the woods bet those pesky Daleks can and the beasties can fly now…mind you has to be the cybermen that has me quaking in my boots, hate the tramping noise they make when they walk…
Night night xx

Evening campers…had to fly my search engine…my plane called bing…to get to the woods tonight…there is a gremlin in my PC that wouldn’t let me walk up the pebble path from benchland to get back to my tent…well…I have been in NED today with beloved grandchild…have bought promised lunchbox…still don’t know what a moshi monster is…new fireman sam fire engine and a pair of scallywag wellies!!!..v proud of myself as this is the first time I have felt able to shop with him on my own since dx last year…one small step back to " normality"…have had to retire due to bc (fostered before)…so getting a bit of my old life back is a lovely feeling…anyone fancy joining me for a drinkie in the JM…no wonder benchlanders think we imbibe too much…just a small medicinal one to keep out the chill…really…

OOhh that sounds nice …what is it?

I’ll join you Apple, I fancy a Pimms Winter  x

posts wrong way round again…

Me too…am having a bacardi and coke tonight please…had one of those days at work with a constant stream of visitors to entertain, be nice to and make coffee for…one said…Oh you don’t look any different’…amazingly he still left with a head! grrrr. So this kitty is having a drink in the JM with normal people and going to finish off Kate’s tobleones which should chase off the tetchy mood…am then going to get n my PJ’s avoid various Dr Who intruders, catch a sleep fairy and have a goodf night lol

Isn’t it is amazing how Applestreet has this esp thing going on? I want a Pimm’s Winter too and I don’t even know what it is. But it is certainly winter here in Manchester. What a day, eh? I’m hoping those scary Daleks stay far away from the JM, but I’m taking a flame thrower for the walk from here to there, just in case.
Cheers, ladies!
