Jane, congratulations on an (almost) functioning dishwasher door and getting back to work. I found that I felt a lot better just for doing normal things. I know what some people say about finding it difficult but I have found everyone very supportive and after the first few minutes they see to forget and just get on with the day to day. For me I think it has made it easier longer term to be seen around at this stage x
Oh dear, more giggling here, you lot are talking about logs again!
Oh my! Well, the lady consultant was lovely in a Very Noble Headmistressy sort of way, and informed me that no way can I have chemo at home, that it was likely to be 2 x FEC and 6 x T, and that I definitely would lose my hair so there’s no point in trying to hold onto it. Phew! I think I need a cuppa. Good job I’d already guessed most of that already.
Anyone else for a beverage now I’ve got the woodland kettle on?
awww sorry about your hair, how do you feel,
black coffee please with sugar, ive some jaffa cakes want me to bring them over too?
Ooooh me please amber, I’ll join you in the glade for a brew, but have you got any horlicks? I can’t stand tea or coffee at the moment If not I’ll pack my own supplies.
I’ve been shut away on my own by my DD who’s practising a solo for our charity concert and won’t let me listen to her rehearse so I need a bit of company. I’ve got plenty of comfy cushions!
Jane xxx
I’ll swap you a Horlicks for the loan of a comfy cushion?
Done!
By the way, after a couple of wobbles I’m actually quite enjoying being bald and have even discovered that my head’s a pretty decent shape - I might even go public with it when the weather warms up!
I definitely recommend getting it clippered off when it’s really falling - I found I looked and felt a lot healthier with it gone than with it all patchy, and I don’t get hairs falling in my cuppa/Crabbies any more.

Good afternoon all
Space on comfy log for me? I have just been doing battle with chemo witch and feel a bit tired. Sent OH off grocery shopping, but with a list. Not taking any chances. Also, will settle down to knitting a few merkins later this afternoon. My lack of activity has been bugging me a bit so I have invested in a wee fit ( and also in guitar hero so I can serenade you guys in the music tent) in the hope that I can get moving a bit. I shall install it in the Spa tent when it comes.
The Bringiton fairy came with me this morning so the chemo witch was suitably subdued. She was accompanied by the You’vegottolaugh sprite, which drew a few glances from other inmates, but me and the nurses were having a ball!

OMG. I meant to write wii fit, but then again wee is a lot more appropriate!
lol! I think Wee Fit is about right!!
coming through with the big pot of stew,
xx
Seems everyone is a bit perkier today - that’s good.
The hair thing is definitely on of the tricky things to get your head round (excuse the pun) as its a sign to everyone else that all is not well, like a sign. I also know what i used to think before bc when seeing people wearing the cancer sign, which was a mix of ‘oh dear’ and ‘there for the grace of God go I’, so I’m presumin gthat’s what others think.
Interestingly, when going Commando I haven’t caught one person having a good gawp at me. A couple of kiddies, but that’s understandable and i just wink at them.
Have to say i feel totally ‘normal’ this week and have a bit of a shock if i catch myself in a mirror! hey ho, sure this will change on monday FEC3 (half way of this bit)
Budge up the log am bringing chocolate provisions.
x
Yes, me too, would settle for wee fit after 3 kids! However, would have to say there is no such thing as a comfy log!!
Tracey
staycalmandcarryon — you are a inspiration to me, i hope i find the courage to accept that my hair will go, its my biggest hurdle,
anyone got some crusty bread to wipe the plate clean
Donna
xx
Donna - It is a massive hurdle, but i guarantee once it’s done you will be able to move on. It’s the thing we all dread but once it’s done it’s yet another horrible thing we can put behind us as we move towards the finishing post.
Who’s got the pepper?
thankyou so much,
salt, pepper, crusty bread
has that chocolate cake turned up yet?
Chocolate muffins on their way, Donna, and I hope you’ll forgive me but I licked the inside of the pot too, and now have stew on the tops of my ears.
you mucky bugga, heres a cloth now wipe your ears,

Afternoon fellow warriors,
have had a lovely day today & left the woods for a while to meet up with 2 fellow Breast Angels from the Southern Chapter. (thank you Sophie & Helen)
We have reloaded & refuelled, sorted out tactics & are back to fight any gremlins whilst bringing loads of good fairies with us.
Hope everyone is well.
Sarah.xx
P.s does the woods have an emergency fund to cover cost of parking ticket received whilst out to sort said tactics ? xxx
Hiya All,
Thank you to the Hants & Wilts Chapter of BA’s for a totally caffeine fuelled afternoon, who needs more. Watch out gremlins - we’ll be on the warpath with the flamethrowers later! This will include traffic wardens too!
Sarah - So sorry to hear about ticket, I thought I had least time to run when we left!? ( I made the car by - 5mins so must have been v lucky not get booked)
Hope the journey home Sophie wasn’t too circumbendibus?!
I’m hoping for another good sleep tonight after efforts today at staying awake and being woken by alarm clock this morning. That talking to the Goodnightsleep fairies yesterday definitely worked!
Cromercrab - I hope chemo witch has b*ggred off at let you enjoy your visit from the You’vegottolaugh sprite.
I hope you all enjoyed the stew, I got a clean plate from Daughter @ dinner for 1st time in ages tonight so really chuffed.
See whoever’s down the JM for a jar later.
