Lynzi how long after your first chemo did your hair start to come out??
I am having difficulty with deciding what to eat as just dont fancy anything,have really lost me appetite!!

Hi ladies not been on for a couple of days and been catching up on everyone’s posts. Just wrote a really long post and it’s not come thru. Argh! Had my lo yesterday so couldn’t log on then was too knackered, Lol. Just on train comin back from Manchester got laine my new best mate. Aka wig. Hair is coming out a few strands when i run hand thru. Scalp very itchy so abit nervous it may just all fall out. X
angel18 my appetite still not back to normal still don’t fancy much but just eat wat you can wen you can. In early days after chemo i mainly had tea grapes toast and crisps!
Lynzi how you coping with the hair coming out? Hang in there chic i no just how you feel. Are you having round 2 Tuesday like me?

Lynzi - yes my hair is coming out in bigger fingerfulls and the top of my scalp in really sore like it’s been burnt.
Day 14 now.
Managed the gym today as it was raining this morning and OH was going so I went on treadmill for an hour to get my walk. It was a bit boring but got the exercise needed to boost blood count.

hello u lot seems i may be back on track .when to see breast care nurse today had loads of trouble still leaking from mas well 44dd it wasnt going to go easilyx well she asked how it was going and said still got a few dribbles so took top of to show her and it spit at her we both fell around the floor laughing i swear my removed boob is like a naughty child still wanting to play ,she called for the consultant he said was healing ok so should be all go for thurs figures cross, feel so far behind now well need to see breast nurse on mon oncologist wed then all go for thurs with a bit of luck just want to get this show on the road love to you all denisexxxxxxxxxxxxx
Angel - my hair started day 12-13 now I’m day 14 and it is coming out in really easily when I run my hands through it which can be compulsive as it’s such an odd sensation; no pain/discomfort.

Hi ladies,
Hope everyone feeling ok today,took the plunge last night & shaved my head not a great deal left now,got quite tearfull as it came off but had to be done.Wore my wig out for the first time & had a compliment on how nice my hair looked which was nice but still don’t feel very confident in it.Sorry just having a little moan on a bit of an off day.
SOC-Wish i could be brave enough to post a picture of my nearly bald head,well done.

Quite excited - booked my ‘Look Good Feel Better’ session at the Christie. I was lucky as they had a cancellation so I’m going on the 14th February (otherwise it was the end of March early April.) Be brill if someone else from this forum was also booked in that day, I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
Now then Mary, have you been to nu-style north west for ‘Laine’? I’ve got ‘Tori’ awaiting me - They also pushed ‘Misha’ at me 'cos I made the mistake of saying that was what my hair used to be like - but crikey that was many many moons ago lol. Must make an appointment I guess to go and try some more on but can’t raise any enthusiasm - although no doubt when the rats oops hair starts abandoning ship then I guess that will spur me on.
And Lynzi - Hark at you!!! Two wigs no less!!! You must have a different choice as I can’t see ‘Beverley & Zoe’ on my list:) I’m chuckling at all the exotic names of the wigs - nothing boring or mundane amongst them - but happily no Kylies or Madonnas (yet)lol.
And Giddy, think it’s a wise decision not to go with the cold cap and to join the rest of us who are going au natural:) It’s such a good look right now and you will be in good company here:) Hmmm, think I’m developing a hair or should that be a hairless obsession yikes.

Oh Winelock - You’re not alone! We’re all having bad days and feel scared and alone sometimes, I certainly do. Has something else happened to make you feel like everything’s gone tits up. Funny word to be using that ‘tits’. My BCN said one day they like to keep us abreast of things. She was mortified, but I thought it was funny.

wine o clock just wrote u a long and meaningful message and not posted gutted lol but what i wanted to say was all of u keep me going my chemo was put of and of but ready to go for thurs fingers cross but while i been waiting my jan thread kept me going and while i know down days are going to come my way there is a light there hang in there you are a brave woman with so much supportxxxxxxxxxxx
can i also say that when ive been at my most down theres been one person thats always been there for me my breast care nurse from kmc mansfield hope i spelt that right you are a starxxxxxxxxxx
oh wineoclock, sending you a big hug and to echo what everyone else has said - you are not alone, we are standing shoulder to shoulder with you every step of the way. Today you are down, so we will pick you up. Tomorrow it most probably will be one of us and I know you will be there for us and do the same. This is one cr4p time for ALL of us make no mistake, but TOGETHER we will get through this.

Evening all!
Day 14 for me today and NO hair loss yet - no LG or head - and i washed this am! Today i just enjoyed my hair - feels like an extra day of hairyness before it starts to go! probably wake up bald tomorrow!!
Went into work today - both lo’s seem better today but still at home - got a lot of little things sorted so that was good! Nice to catch up with colleagues and to know that i am missed!
Chin up wineoclock! i cried a little today cause hair didn’t fall out! lol! hope you are feeling better soon!
I am a non-drinker - don’t normally so nothing to miss - but my two addictions - choc and diet coke - have disappeared (as when i was pregnant!)! no care for either at moment - very weird!!

Goosey me too!! Day 15 and no sign of any hair loss anywhere, washed my hair this morning, first time since Saturday! Have been wearing my wig all week to cover up the greasy head and I am getting used to wearing it.
Got the tweezers on my eyebrows this morning and they did come out easier than usual (normally I am a total wimp and have them done at the beauty salon) but other than that all is firmly attached. (will probably wake up tomorrow with it all on the pillow)
