Well yesterday was not too bad, first dunk - today feeling “travel sick” even though I only travel from sofa to kitchen. District nurse has been round given me my injection - OH wants to have a go tomorrow!!! Umm.
Anyway just wanted to say - its not too bad.

Take it easy Georgina. Sometimes the sofa is the best place. Injections aren’t too bad are they. My son is doing mine from tomorrow. Take care and relax. x

Elma - thanks for the tips for wigs. I did try Trendco in Birmingham but didnt get on with the young sales assistant who kept throwing the wigs at me and told me each one looked great on me !!! I have an appointment at Wills in Bromsgrove tomorrow so hopefully more luck with them. I have also been told that House of Fraser is good.

PTB, could well have passed each other today as I was up & down those corridors like mad earlier. I too have gone for a different colour, though not quite brave enough to try blonde! Have always had shortish hair as well so going for bit longer. That is unless OH absolutely hates it when we see them next week. I actually managed to get a 'head’start (sorry, I couldn’t resist!!) and managed to pop along to the shop that supplies the hospital. Lady was lovely and not at all like the sales assistant Ally had to deal with by the sound of it.
Glad to hear you seem to be doing ok so far. They did warn me the effect the steroids might have, and was told not to go crazy & do too much for first few days even though might feel perfectly fine.

Hopefully you can all find it now…PLEASE PLEASE consider joining it, it’s so much easier than on here and we can see pictures of each other too!! I will change the setting back to secret in due course so the link won’t be found. Even if you don’t have Facebook it would be worth opening an account just to get on the group! Obviously we will continue to post on here too but the Facebook group is easier to navigate xxxxxx

Frenchfancy, was it your wig session with Donna today. I’m back there next Thursday 12.15. Today was the quickest appointment I’ve had so far, in and out in 10 minutes. Good job I’m not far from the hospital! Wig styles seem to be ok. Took the one I have already bought to colour match it and Donna seemed quite impressed by it. Not bad considering the price and where it came from. Hope hubbie approves of yours, mine is away working at the moment so he is just going to have to put up with my choices - long, short or bald!!
Still feeling ok this evening, just beginning to get a bit sleepy now. Just so pleased that I haven’t suffered any sickness. Still have red boob too!

Evening everyone!
As TheBatman says, it’s me and her up tomorrow! I have spent the last day of “normal life” partly at school/work, partly shopping (digital thermometer, still no luck with large sizes of hand sanitizer but only went to Asda!), answering texts wishing me well, while all the time wishing it wasn’t happening. Very odd. I feel a sort of void - strange. So I have spent the rest of the evening practicing my new hobby of baking cakes. I hadn’t baked one for about 30 years until last week, tonight we have lemon drizzle and chocolate sponge.
Very apprehensive, but as prepared as I can be mentally for the onslaught. Haven’t been given any steroids or drugs or anything yet, just sticking to diazapam, what a fine invention!
Thanks Barbarella for all the updates - could you update me to say I am having treatment in Cheltenham? Also, I can’t seem to get on the FB group, som other thing comes up under Startroopers - help?
Will be thinking of you all tomorrow as I begin my FEC cocktail. My Irish parents laugh at the fact it’s called feck. I keep telling them my cocktail of choice is a Kir Royal, I wonder if the NHS will oblige???

Good luck Beam and Bargain for tomorrow. Sending you both big hugs. Still nervous about mine next Tuesday, will get more info i think on Monday when i have to go oncology for a blood test. I work at the hospital where i’m having treatment so know loads of staff, but going to oncology is still fear of the unknown so to speak. Trying to find the developers on Facebook. No joy yet, put the link in, will try again in a mo. God some weird groups coming up though.
