Barbs, Just taking the gastro meds first thing in the morning. Had anti sickness and steroids for first couple of days. Took some anti nausea tabs for first two days. Started injections on Thursday for seven days. Just taking diazapam night and morning to help me sleep. Fingers crossed I can carry on like this but it is only round one! Just think I have been lucky this time so far. Keep thinking Damion is enjoying the swamp juice far too much to share it with the rest of me. xx

For those who have already had their first dunking, really hope the SE’s are treating you kindly and for those of us still to experience this joy, hope the nerves/tests/results are not getting the better of you. Had planned to spend the weekend finishing off a few bits in preparation but have found myself really tired pretty much all day. Am reading posts about everyone’s days out having lunch, catching up with friends, wig shopping, etc & dont mind admitting Im really jealous of you all. It sounds like most of you have really been enjoying your Saturdays. Good on ya girls!!
Would also like to say how much I’ve enjoyed seeing photos of most of you over on FB. ? Can’t believe it’s only been a week. Seems like a lot longer xx

Hi Frenchfancy, of course I don’t mind you keeping an eye on me. Chances are I may need you all when this all goes pear shaped. I nearly said something else then but didn’t seem quite appropriate under the circumstances! You will be fine tomorrow. Easy for me to say I know but it’s honestly not as bad as you are thinking. The unit staff are excellent and there’s tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits to look forward to as well. I will be thinking of you and Barbs of course.

Knew it wouldn’t last. Energy is failing. Spent most of the day doing sweet fa despite my good intentions. Still feel well though. Managed to get to my daughters for family dinner. There was no way I was missing that. I still have a good appetite and dinner smells delicious. Weather turned to s**t too. Not going to start moaning though.

Went for a short stroll with oh it was nice to get some fresh air. Mouth is beginning to feel not exactly sore but bitty as if it is shredding - I hate this. will try bonjela if it gets really sore.

Back home again now. Fantastic family evening. Good food and good company, can’t beat it. Just that I couldn’t stop eating, so I didn’t. Decided I might as well enjoy it while I can!! OH arrived safely back too. Still feeling a little lack lustre but determined not to give in to this evil little creep. It’s amazing how enjoying yourself makes you more determined to fight your way back to the top.

I tried the cold cap and although uncomfortable was bearable. It just increases your treatment time by 2 1/2 hours. Also as they say not to use heat on your hair eg hairdryer & straighteners & no chemical dyes, is there a point when you have a thick mop like mine, which needs a hairdressers touch every 5 weeks to cover up the grey and if left i would look like a mad banshee !!!
Will give it another go on 23rd and see how i feel then xxx

Hope everyone is doing ok today. Seems like its been a bit of a quiet day here on the forum. I suppose we are all anticipating the return of Barbs and Frenchfancy.

My day has been pretty good again. I really hope and pray it’s the same for all my fellow Stars who have been at the bar so far. xxxx
Yeay, am back safe & sound! Taken all my tablets, (well not literally all obviously!) but enough to keep the nausea at bay (please!!) as advised by Everyone. And already had some bread thanks, got that from you Bobbie!! And just to be on the safe side, my temp best friend will be my faithful old ‘sick bucket’. It has been with us for years, never really knowing what it’s purpose in life is, simply waiting to be useful to someone, happy to be a comforting addition to the family. Well Mr Sick Bucket, my old friend, your time is now!! Do not fail me in my hour of need.
