Today I went out!!! By myself!!! Got christmas chocs for kids advent calendar:-)) and some decorations, and toy story 3 and nativity, but don’t tell husband!!!
Bought two more beenies today.

Sorry to hear all the throwing up messages and hope you’re all feeling a little better. In preparation for tomorrow and as a result of your messages have swopped the small vomit bowl with a large washing up bowl - just in case.
Got a bit emotional this morning as one of the gerbils died during the night. They’re actually the school gerbils but I had an issue with the caretaker so they’ve been living here since. To be honest I’m not even that fond of them but I suppose it just all adds up.
Jo - sounds like you’ve got a really good duty doctor and I’m glad they’ve given you a provisional date.
Having directed OH to read the WIND!!! thread OH has come home with a mountain of airfresheners do you think it’s something I said?
Have a good evening and fingers crossed for those of us having our first dose tomorrow.

mrs bird, good for you going out, i was scared the first day i went out on my own. where did you get your beannies from, ive not took mine off all day its too cold. i had got one from new look, but they are too short at the back. ive got my camping beannie on, but look like im about to go on the rob!!

i have a clue what anti sickness they gave me, they just put in in the sringe, i know i have allergic relactions to stemitil, so i had to have a different one they were going to give me.

I am not sure what they put in the drip but I have Ondansetron and Metoclopamide tablets and they have extended these for 7 days. Feeling ok today but know from past FEC that I am likely to feel it tomorrow.

oh Janette I’m pleased you,ve been able to lift your head out of the vomit bowl bless yer,and feel a bit better today when do you have to have a review by docs or will you see an oncology nurse before next one mine was fantastic and got me emend prescribed you gonna have to be more assertive girl xxx
Reeb it could have been worse your OH could have brought you a kite for your WIND problem.I’m sorry about the gerbil I’m intrigued as to what issue you could have had with the caretaker ha ha did he make a nice cosy bed out of his shredded overalls ,ours did out of my daughters new school gingham dress ha ha ,or maybe he just wont let him have a turn of his wheel .I am glad you couldn’t see them homeless and took pity on them.I babysit the class rabbit for my daughter at weekends so i know how fond we become xxxx
Just wrote a long post and lost it all! Am feeling much better today girls. Welcome to Bonnielass. Was only sick twice this morning and nothing since. Managed a slice of toast and a malteser. I’m just looking at my tabs and i am on Ondansetron,Dexamethasone and Domperiddone.Im going to demand Emend next time or refuse treatment!!!
My BCN phoned to see how i was and when i told her i was so sick she laughed! Can you beleive it. Said to keep taking the tablets and try ginger. That’s a lot of good if you cant keep anything down.
Anyway she had good news for me as she said my sentinel node biopsy was clear.
Also had a call from the wig lady at the hospital. Told her I already had bought one and she said the chemo nurse should have told me i could get a free one through them. She was lovely and is coming to the house with different styles. May as well have a spare.
Hope Dima you are ok after your first session.

Have just returned from hospital - CHEMO WAS CANCELLED!!! Had bloods done, saw doctor and signed consent forms, then went through to chemo unit and waited…and waited… then was told there was a 5 hour delay and told to go home and come back tomorrow at 9.30! I am head-wrecked.
Sorry about all the vomiting that’s been going on - wish I could have joined you in a way. Hope you’re all feeling better. Will now join the Wednesday club instead (hopefully!).

HI & welcome Bonnielass - all are welcome here - I decided to take my wig on a “dry run” today to Asda! just to see if I got any funny looks & how I felt wearing it. Only prob was at the checkout it started to ride up - think it’s cos I still have hair & it’s very fine & slippy!!! - so I felt a right fool pulling it down again - almost like a fraud!! - still no strange looks & I felt comfy & almost forgot I was wearing it.

re meeting up I think, Sorry Kaz but Birmingham seems the most sensible & central place for all of us as it has good transport links & lots to do (what am I the tourist guide!)- would be a shame to do a north & south separate thing - I’m well up for getting together & happy to travel

Just been catching up with everyones posts today. Hoping all sickness now subsiding…for those starting tomorrow you will be fine…just get all the anti-sickness stuff you can and don’t wait until you feel sick before you take it.
bonnielass - I have been using the cold cap and my hair started coming out just before my 2nd FEC as well. Although the cold cap works for some I was told to expect all my hair to come out before the end and that the cold cap just slows that process down. Wait & see, you may be one of the lucky ones and just get some thinning.
Keep going girls, you’ll get there…the support on here is fantastic.
