How things? Thinking about you @round21

@buddies feel like a nuclear bomb went off in my body!

Days 2 &3 dry mouth, loss of taste & generally meh… Day 4 bed bound and couldn’t stop crying, think it was crash from steroids, sore mouth, cheekbones, head, lower back aswell.

Honestly felt like I can’t do this on Friday I was so low. I feel like I’m slowly starting to crawl out of it and have some appetite back today although things don’t taste as I’d expect.

I’m going to ask gp about possible muscle relaxant for first week of next cycle as I felt so tense and couldn’t lie still or relax my mind or body.

I’d forgotten just how brutal docetaxel can be!

How are things with you? Are you number 3 tomorrow?

Sending love and positive energy xxx

Bless you….i felt exactly the same round 1, it was hell!

round two, more manageable and side effects less severe…I would advise you to speak to your onc team as they tweaked my take home meds and they’ve certainly helped, I’ve mouth wash and thrush treatment so I was forarmed more and on top before symptoms kicked in!

Yep round three tomorrow, I’m dreading it xx

Just think you are over the hill after this one.. I will be thinking about you tomorrow for sure.

You’ve got this, sending lots of healing positive thoughts.

Look forward to catching up with you again on the other side. Xx

@buddies hope you’re doing ok.. sending love xx

@round21 lovely to hear from you, hope you’re doing ok?

Chemo went well yesterday, starting to feel it kick in with tiredness and general discomfort but napped this afternoon and giving in to it when it happens, rather than fight it.

Had to put dark coloured nail varnish on my nails as they’re discolouring now! The joys,…

Great to hear you’re doing well so far :two_hearts:

I’m on day 9 and my mouth is horrendous, I had a McFlurry and a Frappe for my tea last night! However, feeling better within myself, as in not so spaced out.

Keep on keeping on and you’ll be through the other side soon.

Sending love :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Just checking in on how you’re all doing on the TC chemo - I’m three months out of it now so if you need any advice I’m still happy to help as I absolutely know how you’ll be feeling x

Hi @anncuk, lovely to hear from you! How are you, and your body….wow three months!,

I had my third TC last Monday (8th), and my symptoms have been manageable but lasting longer, plus I’ve developed a cold, which adds to the recovery. Only one more to do! Never thought I’d get this far, it’s been tough going.

Main issue is bone pain, which is loads better on pegrastin and I noticed yesterday that my finger tips are numb and my nails very tender, there is some discolouration too so I’m wearing dark nail polish.

Trying so hard to stay positive as I’m almost through it, but it’s tough

Hey ladies :two_hearts:

@anncuk how are you feeling 3 months out? Do you still have any fatigue or lingering side effects?

@buddies you’re smashing it and almost there. :two_hearts:

I’m in for number 2 on the 23rd, on antibiotics just now as got an infection in my cannula site. They are finished after today though  so hoping for a good few days without nausea and enjoying food again!
