Lol, morning all! Nannabarb, big hugs for today, it will be a tough one I know. Congratulations to everyone with good news and dates for surgery, and hang on in there to everyone in The Waiting Room. I’ve got an appointment with my oncologist today, she says it’s ‘routine’ whatever that means. Got to get there first though, we have snow -probably just like the rest of the country!!
Am loving my small-bottomed costume, and the spangled eyelashes. If I’d known camels had this much fun I’d have become one years ago… (not at all sure how that would work!) I will practise my pike dive, well actually I need to google it first to find out what it should look like. Sumo needs less rehearsal, I just need to eat lots to fill out the special pants and I don’t seem to be having problems in that area. Should I sumo as a camel though??? Cause I couldn’t help noticing that sumo wrestlers tend to be men, and as such have no need for coverage in the chest department. I guess sparkly nipple tassels would do the trick, although I will have one much lower than the other and in fact will have to guess the position of the other using the scar as a guide. However in the name of Art I’m prepared to give it a go…if the script calls for it and it’s integral to my character’s …um… character!!!
nanna, will be thinking of you today, lots of hugs to you.
Hope all goes well for you Ali.
I love blutac, Kay, use it everywhere, you have loads of fab ideas !!
Diving suit on, where am I going???..xx
I’d really like to have Louie Spence - I mean have as a choreographer ! He always cracks me up and I think he could help me waddle like duck with attitude.
Bluerose you are not “helping” with the choreography - you are DOING it - you said you were bored! If you want to, you can choreograph yourself a dance/dive too, if you want to join in. Feel free to invite any consultant choreographers you need.
Thinking of you today nannabarb. Not good weather for a funeral. ALL cars are having to drive at hearse speed though - Your friend’s last laugh??
Good idea, grumpy, to steal borrow some equipment and big strong men (down! ladies) for the excavations.
Loving your ideas for flowers, too. I knew I could trust you to come up trumps (NOT in the Tapoxyfen explosions sense, you understand!! :))
School closed early today - mid-morning. I chickened out of driving first thing, even though the roads were clear, and went with a colleague who lives very near me, and prefers company when the roads are scary. I felt a right fraud at 8am, as the drive to work was easier than it has been for a week or so (ice had melted), but I was VERY glad we did go together 'cos it’s just taken us an hour to drive 5 miles (normally a 10 to 15 min journey!!). She’s had to leave her car on our drive, as it’s uphill from here to hers
Watching the cars skidding about has given me some ideas for dance moves!
Right! When do we want this ‘performance’ to be? 14th Feb for Valentines day - or that weekend? 31st Jan to celebrate getting through January? Any other ideas? I’m thinking rehearsals Wednesdays and Firdays again, as that seemed to be OK last time?
Of course we can have a firework party with sparklers and FOOD and DRINK afterwards. Why else do you think I’m organising all this? I have the super-large sparklers already, Katy!!
Grace and personality…yup, I can do that. Well known for being graceful are camels, and they certainly have lots of personality (if you count things like spitting and smelling a bit whiffy). Tuppence, love the line ‘waddle like a duck with attitude’…go girl!!
Appointment with onc was all ok, back in six months for a check up (because of the Artemis trial). Does this mean I’m in the land of NED??? I do hope so
Hoping your friend’s send off was ok Nannabarb xx
Woke up this morning, looked out of the window and was most disappointed. Only 1" of snow!!! However my son and daughter who both live within 15 minutes of me, in opposite directions, are both snowed in to their respective villages and report 6" of snow.
School was closed so I’ve spent that spare time practising my ferret dance. Doing well at the bobbing up and down but the flips and somersaults need work ( and the bruises need arnica ).
Now snowing heavily here, NO tv signal, soooooooo annoying. On the really “POff” bench. As for freeview get 25 channels and 15 are radio ! grrrrrrrrrrrrr! xx
Not too much snow in my part of Essex at present. But enough to be a problem for my two dogs - they are both Chihuahuas and the snow comes up to their belly! Looks like there will be lots of possibilities for skating practice but don’t fancy diving head first into frozen pool. Could we tip gallons of Gin or Vodka in to stop water freezing . . …
Lots of beautiful white snow here in Derbyshire, just right for us all to grab our sledges before we go to bed and make the virgin snow full of our foot prints having fun!! Make sure you wrap up very warm as it is cold here and watch out for the flying snowballs as I have just got hit by the boys next door. We can all have fun before the kids wake up in the morning and want to go out in our winter wonderland. I hope we get snowed in as I am supposed to be at work in the morning. Anyway must dash now as I have just spotted a spare place on the toboggan run. I will join you all for a hot toddy when I get back. Lots of love Tracy xxx
Don’t worry Tuppence, the diving/swimming pool is heated with TFFT (Tapoxyfen Frequent Flushing Technology) and A.R.S.E. (Alligator Recyling Sustainable Energy) so no ice there. Lovely and warm. Like a hot spring!
About 4" snow here in Midlands (staffs/warks border) and still coming down. Freezing too! Already got an abandoned car on our road - apart from colleague’s car on our drive, which could end up being there all weekend!
I would Just like to had if there are any more blue booby birds that would like to join me we could be a formation team. Please apply in righting to the artistic director JCJ
Good night all I am going to put myself and my blue booby bird to bed and dream about Bluerose sorting the choreography –for the formation team and I am wondering who she will be invite as her consultant choreographer
Just had a brilliant idea about the flowers - onto the ice for the chucking of - why don’t we have cuddly toy animals instead as befits our animal themed Icetravestyganza?? I’m sure Kay could make some with left over fur fabric, and I could adapt my rat pattern to a ferret for the knitters amongst us!
I’ve also seen some AMAZING ice sculptures I’d like for the set. I’ll put a link in later - (don’t know how to do it on this tablet)
