Stop feeling guilty, small rant (BENCHLAND) (Part 1)

It’s gonna be pretty:smileyhappy:!

My bone scan came from ortho dept, when I went to see onc it was already up on the screen, ortho went through results bit by bit and then onc did so was very clear about ALL the arthritis haha.

All the best for Mon xx

Walls washed (well the top bits that I need to paint - can’t do all of them as there’s still damp plaster in places - that’s my excuse anyway - and they’ll be behind cupboards! ) 2 coats of paint on ceiling. I’m on the kn****ed bench and OH gone out to fetch pizza!

Just the top 18" around the walls and another coat on the ceiling, if I have time (new plaster takes some covering!), to do tomorrow and we’re going to the pub for Sundat lunch! Yum.

Good luck today girls, big hugs to you both x

All that painting JCJ, makes one tired even thinking about it !!

Was meant to be out today but have declined the invite, just feel a bit ouchy, lido has completely worn off…

Sooooooooooo just a little bit of supermarket shopping which will be done MUCH later, oh dreary, dreary me, hee hee. xx

GOOD NEWS TODAY!!!

no nasty bits, no more meds, just annual checks and one last mammo in June.

BIG RELIEF after nearly 5 years of angst

So went to Morecambe for a potter along the prom as a celebration.

Meg can manage on the flat and Joey tries to be REALLY nice to her by not tugging on the lead.

Right, I can get on with the next bit of life now:

  1. lose weight

  2. more exercise

  3. more saying NO to people

  4. more visiting friends/camping hols

love to everyone

grumpy

Yippedy doo da yippedy day! Great news Grumpy. (Not so grumpy now though, eh? :))

My annual check up went OK too. No concerns - “little bit of thickening but that’s nothing to worry about”. I mentioned the US and CT scans and there was no record of them in my notes so either a) communication is useless or b) nobody thinks the stomach issues are related to BC. I’m sticking with b) for the moment! He asked me if I’d had blood tests. IfIf blood tests show liver function normal, then I’ve nothing to worry about!

Mammo booked for 6th March and next surgeon check up 18th January 2016 (that’s just mad!!) See onc in June and will have blood tests, 2weeks before, to see if I’m menopausal with a view to changing meds.

Kitchen’s coming along. Most of the units are in, with no doors yet.

Yahoo be dooby/booby, grumpy and JCJ:smileyhappy:!

Sounds like good news all round, yippee!

You would def think that doc would have told you about anything re liver blood tests so more positive for you JCJ.

If you have no probs on ta"poxy"fen, they may just keep you on it.

Lovely to think of you wandering the promenade.

When will kitchen be finished?

Just over 3 weeks till baby now, going quickly for everyone apart from ED, haha!! xx

Saw this on Twitter (QI) and laughed out loud whilst thinking of you lot! Have a smile on me!

Arggh it won’t let me copy the link. :frowning: Check out my profile pics.

I actually met the kitchen fitters today! They arrived as I was scraping my car this morning and were packing up the van as I got home! They told me the kitchen will be all mine tomorrow! But I think the tiling and floor wont be done until the weekend as one of the fitters is doing it in his own time as a private job. Then the plinths will be fitted after the floor has gone in.OH bringing fish & chippies back for dinner!

Sooooooooooo looks like next week tea at JCJ’s, woo hoo!!

We can all wear the fabulous matching outfit H or D?? is wearing, we will be beautiful and befitting to venture into JCJ’s new kitchen…what we eating?? xx

Kitchen fitters gone. OH paid them - after annoying them by suggesting I might like to see it before we paid (I’d already told them before I left foe work that OH would write them a cheque!!)

I got home to find the plinth heater has not been fitted and the uber expensive recycling bin has just been plonked in the wrong cupboard and not fitted, as on the plan, into the cupboard under the sink (where I don’t think it’ll fit!) The bin is designed with 3 sections with one big lid that opens as the door of the cupboard opens, so it’s useless unelss properly fitted. :frowning:

I’ve just spoken to the tiler and he can’t come until 7th Feb, but he did explain that the heater will be fitted with the plinths after he’s done the flooring. Phew!

I did just cook dinner on the new hob (only pasta with stir in sauce) and it was amazing!  Got to work out where to put everything now, but I’m soooo tired tonight, I can’t face it.

I’ll take the finished photo when the tiles are done.

Can we all come round for (virtual) tea next week?

I’d like sausages, onion gravy, mash, and garden peas please, if that would be on the menu. Oh, and cake of course.

grumpy

PS Meg’s meds seem to working well, she can walk pretty good - cautious optimism…

aaah that’s good news, grumpy:smileyhappy:.

Now virtual tea, do we wear our tiaras? Is it a proper dress up? Do you want us to bring anything? Will you “do” a menu?

Oh what fun!!

Off to dentist today in a couple of hours then some shopping, want to buy a ladder but don’t know if I can balance it on my chariot??? Will see, haha xx

Good news about Meg’s meds! Fingers crossed they keep her mobile and comfortable for a long time to come!

I had a little nosey at the recycling bin today. It’s a good job I hadn’t had time to contact the shop, because it IS fitted - into the wrong cupboard, but the only cupboard where it will fit. *embarrassed grovelling apology*. It’s a bit of a pain because it’s in the cupboard behind the door into the kitchen, but we’ll get used to it.

I played with the new oven tonight and reheated frozen homemade turkey & ham pie. Nom nom nom! We had vegetables with it!! I haven’t cooked veg vor over a week and was really missing them!

Virtual tea next week: Tiaras are compulsory as is as much lycra as feasible (and far more than advisable) see H/D’s fetching racing suit as an example. C strings are also on the dress code (see previous post about Alice band-g string hybrid, apparently they’re called c strings!) but I shan’t be policing *that* item of clothing!! No VPLs should be a clue though! :stuck_out_tongue:

Menu:

Starter

Cake

Main

Sausages, mash, peas, carrots & onion gravy

Dessert

Cake

Strawberries and ice cream or cream or both

Coffee and cake

There’s also cake if anyone wants some!

Had a missed call on phone today from ‘withheld’ was it yet more advertising? Or was it hospital about booking my ‘urgent’ CT scan?? They always withhold the number. No message left, so I’ll never know!

Been to vet for Meg’s checkup - all very pleased!!! We will go back each week for a while to make sure things are going OK.

Can companion animals come to tea next week? Meg will wear her tiara and pearls (ahem!!!) and Joey might be forced - sorry, persuaded - into a natty little lycra number. They will eat what everyone else has, no need to do special menu (as if …)

Going to build bookcases now… cue lots of bad language and bruised fingers.

 a very cheery grumpy

All good grumpy:smileyhappy:!!

Put together a very small bookcase honestly was the worst thing ever…good luck.

Yum, yum seems to be a lot of cake??? I can manage that:smileyhappy:!

DID manage to balance ladder yesterday so was sooooooooo pleased:smileyhappy:!

GD off school today, another bug going around poor thing, she was looking better when she left here, had to do a mad dash into town afterwards for my ta"poxy"fen.

When is tea? and what kind of cake/cakes please? xx

Good ol’ Meg!

Got home, eventually, after leaving school late, via the tile shop, to buy the flooring and tiles (the latter had to be ordered). There was a letter addressed to me by my first name - making it almost certainly a medical thing! It was my CT scan appointment. :expressionless: 6.15 pm on Tuesday. I have to be there 1 hour 40 mins before hand to have a “special drink” and possibly a dye injection (not into boob this time though!!). I may have to stay for an hour after as well, and I can’t eat or drink anything for 5 hours before. :frowning:

Virtual Tea will have to be Wednesday or Thursday then. Shall we say 5pm?

I am going to throw a virtual dinner party in February when the kitchen is actually finished, and hopefully I’ll have good news to celebrate!!.

The sooner it’s all done the better JCJ, no cooking that night!

Fingers and toes double crossed for you and big, big hugs.

Am going to borrow RevCat’s broomstick so will be down for 5 pm!

On the “feel as though been hit by a bus” bench, everything is ouchy roll on the next lido, could be ages yet:smileyfrustrated:!

Sunny but cold this morning hopefully don’t have to go anywhere today xx

One bookcase has been constructed safely!!! Second one was damaged so 15 mins on hold listening to ABBA to arrange collection and delivery of replacement - which means reorganisation of books will have to wait until next week GRRRRR.

Walks tomorrow with both pups, then longer walk with ASBO Boy later. This is hard work. Baby gate installed at the foot of the stairs to stop Her Grace trying to do forward rolls from top to bottom!!!

Virtual tea next week - do we all have to do a’turn’ for the cabaret??? Joey will treat us some dog yodelling, and Meg will demonstrate leg untangling for a range of situations. Me??? I’ll just do inane grinning…

On the exhausted bench with glass of glitterberry juice watching Elvis.

Grumpy

Everything is back in the kitchen and I have the rest of the house back!! I even cooked Sunday dinner in it yesterday! I’m loving it and can’t wait until it’s properly finished!

Just been to Sainsbury’s (other…) and stowed all the shopping away as well - so much space!! although the freezer hasn’t miraculously expanded, so I had my usual battle squeezing everything in there!

I felt really peculiar in Sainsbury’s, while I was shopping and waiting for OH in cafe. All shaky and lightheaded. I think I was just hungry though, because I felt better after I’d eaten. Doesn’t bode well for having to go for HOURS without sustenance tomorrow?? :frowning: Having a cup of tea and a hot cross bun now to stock up my reserves! :stuck_out_tongue: Any excuse??

Just a flying visit, GOOD LUCK for today JCJ, fingers crossed for quick results, almost over, lots of hugs xx
