Woo hoo dame grumpy, fabulous news!!!
Celebrations all over Benchland tonight xx
All right you loada loonies
Iâve been sat on the âfeeling ignored benchâ tooooooooo long now. My obvious problem has been that Iâm too enquiringly interested, polite and sympathetic. But I am NOT going to be put off and REFUSE to be swayed, because any mention of âpotted meatâ sarnies and I go into a drooling hypnotic trance. So move over you snifflin Disinfectant Diva, Smelly Sink Hussie (any excuse to get a man in!), GrimlyGrump  and KamakarzeeChariotKaty !!!  I will have you know  âIâ have lycra, spandex, sequins AND very important royal contacts who I know would be âupâ for acting as starter at such a spiffing wheez of a chariot race. They actually LIKE me - think Iâm absobloominlutely fandabeedozee in fact, so stuff that in your camels!  But youâll have to work very, very to win me over now  'cos youâve deeply offended me. Capische ? or bog orrf  (er thatâs me who actually has to bog orrf)
Great on yer news GrimlyGrump !
Dellydingdong xxxx
Golly gosh delly, thatâs what we like to see a fighting spirit, well done old chap!! Your courage and determination hold no bounds!
Glitterberry juice and potted meat sandwiches, in the tardis fridge (in the shed).
Have to go GS has just been sick on me, woo hoo xx
You what - not arf Katy. Iâm not putting up with any of yer bulling any more. Do ya hear me.
BTW Katy, just read an earlier post of yours dating back to 2011, about the two ladies, one lumpectomy, the other a sizeable tumour etc. Yes it does put things into perspective and itâs not a competition - thanks for that.Â
xx
Oh , just loving my new name. Â Sniffling is slightly less today, getting better slowly, sitting on settee and watching daytime tv is my new hobby. Â Just discovered Loose Women!
Â
Daughter popped in today and did washing up for me and forced me to eat a reasonable meal. Went to supermarket this evening for vital supplies but thank heavens I had a trolley to lean on.
Â
Sewing costume for chariot raceâŚbeads, sequins, ribbons, crystalsâŚStrictly has nothing to compare with the âblingâ on my costume :smileyhappy:
Â
Sniffling Disinfectant Diva!
Anything that has lots of prickles on Ali - of course. Anyway - whereâve YOU been??
Â
FF - glad you like the new name. At least yours has more of a star quality to it than JCJâs âSmelly Sink Hussieâ.
But on the âStrictly themeâ, youâve rumbled me in that my reference to my Royal contacts to act as race starter is none other than Sir Brucie himself.  Ohhhhh yes he is royalty - Ohhhhhh no heâs not !  Yes I know heâs retired from strictly, but heâs having serious withdrawel symptoms from his twice weelky (the comp show + result show - Iâm not stupid)  dose  of sequins, Craigs âDaaarlingâ 's, Lenâs seVENâs, and Brunoâs passionate gesticulations, not to mention his arm movements !!
Loose Women - I once had an electrician doing a few jobs for me who often watched it. Said he found it educating - âSurprising what you women talk aboutâ !! Hows your daughter doing ? Glad youâre feeling a bit better.
Am going back to bed for some zzzzzzzâs

Mmmmmm! Camels stuffed with pickles! Yum! Sorry? What? Oh pRickles.:smileyembarrassed:
Are we wearing tiaraâs???
Changed my mind, think Iâll be wearing a Xmas Toga, baubles, tinsel and lots of lights!
Times have significantly improved since I bought the wheelie trainersâŚitâs gonna be a breeze xx
Of course weâre wearing tiaras. Â We always wear tiaras. Â A tiara is a necessity. Â Whatever the costume there must always be a tiara:smileyhappy:.
Am not so sure Sir Brucie would succumb to wearing a tiara - but am sure heâd like to see them xx
Thought so FF, just needed confirmation.
Delly, Brucie will NOT be allowed to wear a tiara!!
Am busy attaching ribbons to Xmas Toga soooooooooo when I flash past you all my ribbons will swish your facesâŚno pulling them though??
Have to have flu jab today, sooooooooo canât be bothered, mmmmmm.
Last mammo on Tues and lido on Fri, itâs all too muchâŚbetter just sit on the âCBAâ bench and ponder for a while xx
Morning all
Katy - whatâs the âlidoâ ?? Â The sparkly streamers sound fandabidozee.
By the way - Sir Brucie came up with the idea that, instead of a starter pistol, heâs going to bungee jump and grab a tag on the ground below with his teeth that lets off a loud bang to set off the race. Sounded so spectacular, I gave him the immediate go ahead without consulting you all. Hope that was ok ??
Hope youâre all ok, JCJâs sis is ok and have a good weekend
Delly xx  Â
Â
Just finished knitting this little guy:
Would you like him and his cousins, Fairy Bear and Christmas Pudding Bear (not yet knitted, but coming soon!), to adorn your Christmas Tree costume, Katy? ![]()
Â
My sister is back at home - sheâs started to beat me again at âWords With Friendsâ, so she must be feeling a bit better?
She had to have 3 units of blood and some platelets again yesterday; a weekly event at the moment, it seems!
- but at least they are treating her at a hospital nearer to where she lives, so she doesnât have to schlepp all the way to Brum every time - with volunteer drivers, as sheâs not well enough to manage the train, or drive herself.
Â
I hope you are feeling better now FF. Not long for the Lido now, KTC - I hope the SEs are even less this time. xx
Aaaah itâs lovely JCJ, can I have 40 please?? No putting weights in them nowâŚ
Glad your sister is home and hospital is nearer.
Have been mostly on the new bench the âsoooooooooooooo CBAâ, a liitle more, well, maybe a BIG bit more CBA than the original haha!
Been so tired lately.
Flu jab done, woo hoo!!
Delly, itâs a Lignocaine Infusion, takes around 5-6 hours, for nerve pain. xx
Â
Â
Â
Last weeks sick certificate said I would be fit for work tomorrow. Â I will be going to see Dr. to argue about it tomorrow as, although a lot better, I am NOT fit for work. Â Went to supermarket today for essentials (first time out of house since Tuesday) and it exhausted me! Â Feel fine sitting on settee/pootling about but actually doing anything is a different story.
Â
JCJ - please put lots of weights in Katyâs decorations, we have to slow her down somehow or sheâs going to win this chariot race by a mile! Glad your sister is feeling better and that treatment is nearer for her.
Â
Delly - I was going to say that I didnât want Brucie anywhere near our event (I canât stand him) but the thought of the bungee jump makes me think again. Â
Â
Â
Get another sick note if you need one, FF. No point going back to work too soon and being off sick again?!
Â
I was having the same thoughts as you, FF, re Brucie - I canât stand him either! So enjoying Strictly now I can watch it! (No, it wouldnât be ethical to tamper with the bungie ropesâŚfunny, but not ethical! :))
Just about recovered from The Play⌠it takes at least 5 days and lots of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Chariot Race - please consult mobility scooter websites for chariots appropriate to the event. Iâve seen one with a doggie trailer for Meg and Joey.
Meg will wear her tiara and is agitating for pearls and long (short?) satin gloves.
Joey is getting ideas above his station and wants to have a biker jacket with studs.
I am hoping to borrow the Snow Queen frock from Narnia, or something from Downton. Knowing my luck, it will be Mrs Patmores dress and pinnyâŚ
Grumpy
Â
You all sound as though you will be very pretty, even ASBO boyâŚ
Oh almost forgot, can I please borrow your green knee highs JCJ? Think they will totally match my outfit superbly well!!
FF. hope you are feeling much better and you saw doc.
Have mammo today, not looking forward to it cause of the ouchyness, know it will be sore because even a small bit of pressure feels uncomfortableâŚnever mind being squished haha!!
Think I have been volunteered (in my absence) for something, I DONâT want to do it, will find out today, grrrrr, if I have, I will be on the âhidingâ bench, until further notice xx
Saw Dr. yesterday and have another week off work. Â I am much better and feel that I have rejoined the human race but Iâm taking it easy. Have to have a blood test on Thursday as Dr. wants to make sure Iâm not anaemic (had to get the dictionary out for that one!)
Â
Mobility scooters? Â I thought we were using Katyâs usual mode of transport? Oh dear, start again.
Â
Hope you are not on the hiding bench Delly, just say NO!. Â It takes practice, preferably in front of a mirror, to say NO! Â I think weâre all conditioned somehow to say âyes, course I willâ through gritted teeth when we really think NO! NO!.
Â
JCJ - I never thought about tampering with Brucieâs bungee ropes but now that youâve put the thought into my mindâŚ
FF, so glad you are feeling better:smileyhappy:!
Not too happy if itâs mobility scooters, canât driveâŚ
Whilst waiting in a huge queue for two muggachocs yesterday, a man decided to chat me up, hahahahaha, oh dear gosh, gave him the brush offâŚman in front of me says âlooks like youâve clickedâ my response âlucky meâ NOT!!!
Mammo went fine, felt nervous about the ouchiness, was not as bad as last year, whew, they have a super, duper new machine so was very quick, thank goodness.
Have been volunteered but not until Jan, can do that, just didnât want to do Dec!
No Xmas lunches this year, but will be doing an early lunch in Nov and a late in Jan.
Have ordered Xmas food hurrah, only have to get a very small amount from supermarket, woo hoo!!! xx
