Hello Ladies
I hope this is OK - I am keen to keep the momentum going after our last coffee and chat so I would like to suggest another meet-up on 31st May 14.30ish in the Winchester Cathedral Refectory.
Still very keen to go to Bournemouth Anne but thought this would give you time to get your treatment settled. you are not forgotten.
Hope some if not all of you can make it - I know Liz will be on her cruise but she has promised to make the next one.
Trust you are all as well as you can be be.
Love Jacqui x
Hello hampshire ladies.
I will be there on 31st of May
Valia
Hi
Thanks for the new date Jacqui. Would love to be there but may be helping pack my daughter’s stuff up for her to return home. Will let you know nearer the time.

Hi ladies, it’s in my diary as we speak, looking forward to seeing you all. Anne, I hope you are doing ok, thinking of you xxx
I am due to be working that day. If anything changes (and i have scans and results over the next two weeks - i am nervous) i will be over like a shot to see you girls.
Lokking forward to see you Kirsti.
Beanbob- good luck with your scans. The period before and until we have the results- is such a challenging time. Use all star opposing strategies and hope it goes quickly. Fingers crossed for great results. Would be good to see you afterwards with a smile in your face:-)
Thinking of Anne too and I hope she gets good treatment to help her going through this difficult spell.
Enjoy the weekend girls

Oh the joy of predictive text. I meant " use all your coping strategies" beenbob.
Sorry I can’t be with you that day as our port of call will be Germany, but I will be thinking of you all and will have a cup of tea ( or maybe something stronger) whilst keeping you all in mind.
Anne-hope everything is OK and that you are coping with it all. Beanbob, good luck with your scan and results - It’s always nerve wracking isn’t it? At the moment, I am one happy lady as I had my results this week and I’m responding to my new treatment with ALL my mets reducing, even the two in the brain, and my liver met has shrunk from 35 mm to 10 mm. Even my bone mets are stable and there are no new growths. This is the best news I’ve had for a long time and now feel that I can cope with the horrible side effects for as long as it all keeps working, although my onc has slightly reduced the capecitabine in the hope that the SE’s will be more bearable.
Have a good chin wag and I’ll see next at the next get together.

Great news fro Liz - good to know that she can be a happy cruiser. Good luck with your results Beanbob - do post and let us know. thinking of you Anne.

Jacqui
Good luck Beanbob, fingers and everything else crossed for you, nice one Liz, I love to hear good news such as yours xxx
Ladies, my life is becoming like a roller coaster! Off on my cruise Tuesday and where have I just spent the last 4.5 hours? Up a&e because I managed to fall over at my son’s house resulting in a lovely bump on my forehead and a fractured ankle! Now have my leg in plaster and have to go to fracture clinic later today to get fitted with an air boot so I can at least be mobile - won’t I look elegant in my evening attire with an air boot and crutches! Also, my OH has to give me a clexane injection into the stomach every day in case of a blood clot. Unbelievable isn’t it? The ironic thing about is that we were doing the family a favour by looking after the grandchildren when we had originally planned a quiet day at home getting things ready. Oh well, at least we can still go on holiday but I think I might have to go easy on the vino in case I fall over again (at least I’d have a valid reason for it though!).

Oh dear Liz, that wasn’t meant to happen! At least you are going on a cruise rather than a holiday where you would have to be walking a lot each day. Hope the holiday is really good even if you’re not dancing with the captain.

Poor Liz. At least you could go ahead with your cruise. Some times life throws at us far too much. I am in Athwns at the moment as my dad is very poorly from bowel obstruction… the day I expected them in England I had to travel back to Athens ahe went to intensive care:-(((
keep strong girls.

Oh dear - Liz what a thing to happen after your good news. I am glad you are still going on your cruise - just put your foot up and enjoy being waited on by nice young men!
Valia I hope things are better with Father. It must be difficult when they are so far away.
Take care of yourselves ladies
Love Jacqui
So much to cope with. Enjoy the cruise as best you can Liz.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon. Sarah
Girls, the good news is that results have come back stable. I will therefore go to Paris and I won’t see you on 31st but I will see you at the next Friday meet up. Let me know the date. take care all, Beanbob
Hi everyone, gosh, so much is going on, sorry to hear of your accident Liz, I hope your cruise is wonderfully relaxing. Beanbob, wonderful wonderful news, enjoy Paris, I hope to see you at our next meeting. Alize, I look forward to reading your posts and feel uplifted knowing that you have received funding for your new treatment. I look forward to meeting you at some point in the near future. Looking forward to catching up with you all on Friday, Anne, I hope you are ok, would love to hear from you, maybe you could PM me, I’ve been worrying a little. See you all soon Kirstie xxx
