Gill, you need to work in getting yourself into position
I used to be able to get on, line my dots up, get zapped and be off in the space of one song on the radio. Such an expert:)
Just remember to keep slapping the aqueous cream on.

I will try that Sally I remember you saying this a while ago. I was doing fine till today even though it is only 4 I felt I had cracked it. But will keep trying. It sure knocks you a bit when it don’t go so well. But chin-up I will be fine. Thanks for the advice Sally.
Good luck today Jem hope all goes ok. X
Had a call from hospital today about my complaint to tell me they can’t answer it within the specified 25 working days and that it’s been escalated to a serious incident. Should hear from them by the end of the month to find out why my mammogram wasn’t acted upon last October
Hi 2 .
Sally hope you are ok with journey and work today - sounds like work are being flexible. How are side effects?
Gill - hope today was more straightforward and you were in and out in record time.
Feenix - not sure which day is results day - fingers crossed, big knickers on - we’re with you but don’t crush us!! I’m hoping to be whirled round in celebration of margins- just bit a little careful as head not great!!
Quick update
Yesterday assessment went well- consultant and staff all comment on how great I’m looking - not sure what they are expecting!! Weight isn’t great as lost another 2kg in 3 weeks ?consultants take - eat more pies & cakes!! The reason for loss is too healthy eating- pies & cakes it is.
Today was a marathon- chemo drugs were late arriving. Cold capping for 5 1/2 hours- let’s hope follicles well & truly frozen so stay put!
Resting this evening.
Hugs to all xx
Hi Jem,
Glad you managed the cold cap. It’s not so bad after the first few minutes is it? Work is fine though I had a bit of a nightmare getting in today due to an incident which meant all trains were cancelled when I got to my station. I had to faff around and ended up on the Jubilee line but it wasn’t too bad.
I’ve not lost a bloody ounce!! The shame. I could do with losing a bit.
Hi ladies. Glad you both doing ok. Snap Sally I haven’t lost an ounce either. Joined weight watchers last week with daughter for moral support and to get me eating healthier but do t eatto bad to be fair. Well was weigh in last night. We have both eaten exactly the same and she lost 2.5lb and I put 1 on. Great. And not started on tabs yet and girl in rads today said I will put weight on once I do start. No hope lol. So will try and lose before I start them in 16 days. Have a good evening all. Glad it went on today Jem and fingers crossed hair stays put.
Hi Gill and Sally - sorry bad day on train Sally - you are one amazing lady not only going into work but on public transport. Gill - another for you. Keep going.
I guess no one is happy with their weight at times- people that don’t know about my diagnosis are starting to ask if I’m ok as lost weight- the last 2kg really show? my clothes aren’t fitting anymore- not going to buy next size down. Total loss since diagnosis is 1 1/2 stone- mostly due to the anxiety before surgery- I literally couldn’t eat! My BMI has dropped below healthy now so really need to put on.
Have a good evening ?
Wow Jem that’s a fair bit of weight. ? and more ? on the menu. Yes 5 done and today’s was fine. Review also and all good their. Ct scan ready for final 5 and targeted. They were really concerned today with back going into spasm yesterday so we took it very slowly. Felt it but it didn’t actually spasm so was much better. It is definitely all about positioning yourself like Sally say. Tomorrow need to get on couch high up them so that’s to shuffle to get in position. Will have it banging myths end of the week I am sure
Morning ladies just re read my last thread. Hmm what is banging myths ?. Oh dear. Never mind hey. Hope today is a good one for you
Oh dear. Got up this morning feeling really dizzy and woozy and thought ok, side effects hitting. Tested blood sugar, massive hypo. Two glucose tablets and three weetabix later, feeling fine. I’ve not had a hypo for a while and need to remember not to automatically assume that anything I get will be chemo related.
Have a good one ladies.
Sally
Hi all
Sally how are your bloods now? Much better I hope. Did you manage work today?
Gill - 1 zap down today- hoping no delay.
Feenix - I too enjoy really dark chocolate.
DCB- good to know your getting on ok with hormone tablets.
Today has been better than cycle 1- taking anti- nausea meds regularly has allowed me to eat?. I felt like I have eaten all day- breakfast, protein milkshake, 2 meals, and homemade chocolate brownie muffins supplied by mum as snack a little later- Hubbie on fatten me up mode !!
Anyone heard from Fairy Dust?
Take care all xx
Hi Jem. Glad you are feeling ok and number 2 went ok Had appointment moved to 6:30 today due to a power cut! But in and out in less than one song. Yeah. Still feeling good and 1 over 25% done.
Have a good evening all
Hi,
Bloods all ok. Had review today after first chemo last week. They’re very happy, still no side effects!! Got a different train to work today and did the nice walk from Victoria Station to Waterloo, that was my exercise for the day, apart from up and down the stairs at work. Only downside is I’ve put on kg die to the steroids.
Gill, yay, you managed the one song shuffle!
Hi Sally. Glad all good with you and your review. Have to say I did think about you why I was lying there. Thought come on hurry up sing nearly finished. Took my time getting on the couch to and said to the girls “ right this time hardly any Moving measurement will be spot on”. And they were. So hopefully plan sailing now
Yeah - under 1 song?. Keep going you’re doing amazingly well.
Sally- pleased all went well at assessment- how were your bloods? At week 2 mine were all over the pkace. Is it Friday next round or week after? No SE - go girl!!
My week 2 is 23/6 Jem, I’m every other week at the minute.
Sorry that should be 22/6
Hi All
Feenix - no results ?? ?
Gill- another week - how is the fatigue and cooking going?
Sally- how’s the rest of your week been? ReRead some threads- sorry didn’t reply to your post re your complaint- sorry no one from hospital has got back to you- let us know how you get on. My consultant urged me to complain about how I was treated at A and E.
DCB- hope week has been good.
Yesterday we not the best- some have described SE from chemo as like a really bad hang over- know what this feels like now - couldn’t even read a page of my book without my head going everywhere, ached everywhere. But today much better ??- walk, pottering, focussed, making food, even managed going to cricket with my son?. Hair not doing so well but found new wig today- even the children like it- ordered so hopefully next week- feeling distressed but trying to be brave(again!).
Enjoy weekends- Feenix more car hunting??
Hi Jem,
I’ve had a good week. Been to work every day and still have no side effects. One of the Oh nurses where I work reckons I’m the healthiest person that works there because even going through this I’m just never ill.
Looking forward to a dossy weekend of wall to wall football!
Have a good one all x
Sally
