Hello I’m here,
Started chemo today so that’s one down! Yay!
On the other hand I feel so rough got a headache I’ve been sick a few time and the nausea is awful. I’ve taken all my meds ready for the steroids in the morning but now feel tired but can’t sleep. My stomache is rumbling but I’m not hungry! Got some ginger biscuits and tea and lots of nibbles just don’t fancy anything except water.
OOh I’m a right moany miiney tonight. Lo is sleeping out thank god cos I couldn’t deal with anyone just hope this gets better.
I’ve had ec, and ondesadrone, dexa something and something else. Not very helpful!
Ok going to try and get some more sleep!
Ooh there is one plus I forgot to mention my beautiful sister and family who I haven’t seen for 14th mths have moved from mexico to help me she arrived this evening! So I’m praying I’m ok to see them tom.
Sleep well peeps! Xx
Lovely lulu glad you have finished your chemo xx
I’m still here, I did go to bed about an hour ago but couldn’t get to sleep. It’s so frustrating as I’d like to sleep say from 1.00am till 9.00am, but I lose half the day as I don’t get to sleep until about six or seven and I waken around 11.00am.
I do have some sleeping pills Lulu, but they don’t always work, maybe I need something stronger or to take two. I didn’t take one tonight as took one last night but still didn’t sleep, tonight I took a Piriton. I’ll have to speak to my GP.
I’ve just had a cup of hot chocolate, see if that helps.
Pleased to hear you’re not in a lot of pain, Lulu. I’m definitely feeling more upbeat and have a little more energy (32 days post last Tax), I even managed to do quite a lot of cleaning yesterday and today, my duster and cleaning cloth came out of hibernation!
Hope everyone sleeps soon.

Oh Fran, poor you.
Well done though on getting number one out of the way, you are now a little nearer to the end! I had two EC and four Tax, I was fortunate as neither made me sick but I did feel nauseous, to be sick must be awful. The Ondansetron is supposed to prevent vomiting, I’d speak to your BCN at Bexley as they can prescribe something more effective like Emend. Dexamethasone is your steroid, I hope they don’t keep you awake, try to take them as early as possible.
How lovely of your sister to come back from Mexico to help you, I hope you are fit to enjoy her company tomorrow.
Hope you are now tucked up in bed and having sweet dreams.

Fran well done getting no1 over with. Sorry your feeling a poorly. Hope the meds help and you start to feel better… Are you taking your Meds regularly? Don’t wait until you are feeling sick to take them they works better if you take them when you don’t feel sick.
Maybe try nibbling a ginger biscuit if you can. I used to get woken by tummy rumbles and had a secret stash of biccies at the side if the bed for middle of the night nibbles. Constipation and indigestion can make you feel sick too. And both are common on chemo. If your still feeling suck tomorrow call your unit for something stronger a lot of people say emend is good but Iv never tried it but I know granisteron is good.
Have a fab time with your family you must be so excited to see them no wonder your not sleep! But hope you get over soon.
Libby your like me Iv kinda turned night into day and day into night. Sleeping pills do have a habit of wearing off… But Iv not been on them myself I just come online or play cards in my iPad when I wake until I get tired again. Hope you get a few hours sleep soon.
Lulu. X
Did get some sleep but awake again now. I find a bit of browsing on here helps!Well done getting number q1 out of the way. Do ask for emend it really worked for me but it’s expensive so not easy to get.
Hi. Im lucky enough to be able to sleep well, but this morning I find myself wide awake in an airport waiting for the resturants to open!!! Hugs to all awakers!!

Good morning all,
Don’t think I qualify as an up all nighter - just got up at 5.30. I’m hoping to have FEC4 today but my cough woke me and temperature is just over 37. I’ve already had one late dose because of low neuts and no-one, including me, wants another postponement.
Just like you , Claire, I’ve avoided so many people trying to avoid this infection but both tiny grand-daughters had to be minded last week - one because creche wouldn’t take her with eye infection - and they both coughed at me all day. Didn’t help that OH abandoned me with littlest one for several hours while he went off to get a sim card for his new mobile!
I hope your new bed makes you sleep like a baby and I only find you on daytime forums from now on. I’ve always been a night-bird and don’t mind the odd bout of insomnia (especially now I’m retired) but night after night without sleep can wear you down.
Leeds39, I had the same problems with FEC1 and 2 and nurse told me to take metaclopramide as soon as I got home after FEC3. I couldn’t believe the difference - I managed to eat lunch and dinner and keep both down and had only a bit of queasiness that night. It works along with the other meds the give you. Ring your GP and ask for some. I only need to take them for a day or two to get me through the worst but I wouldn’t be without them.
Hope all the others are now fast asleep. If not, hugs to you all. It’s such a comfort to read your posts and feel less alone.
Love, Kathleen
CM I seem to miss you by about 5 mins you come on here when I go off lol.
Sadie hope the ice hotel is fantastic it sounds amazing !
Kathleen a temp just over 37 wouldn’t delay chemo but depending on the type of cough you have it potentially could. Hope its a short lived thing and you can get your chemo today. Fingers crossed that the naughty neuts are good.
Anyway hope you ladies got some restful hours. X.
Hello everyone - not sure if I qualify to be an All Nighter but this is late for me! Had my first chemo dose today - AC - 4 doses over 9 weeks. Used the cold cap too. I’m feeling OK but am religiously taking my anti-sickness meds and have drunk over 2 litres of water which I’ve heard is good. Tomorrow I start on the steroids. I didn’t sleep very well last night cos of nerves so am hoping to crash out tonight but don’t really feel tired. Hope I’m still not up at 4am!! Watch this space!
Hope everyone are feeling OK and coping with whats happening for them.

Lxxx
Jan, I hope you are tucked up in bed now and sleeping like a top. Keep drinking the water, it helps.
Yoo-hoo Lulu,
Aren’t we a pair? I so hope I’m not still awake at 7.30am again, last night I had only 3hrs sleep, then this afternoon I slept for an hour.
Wishing you some quality sleep tonight and a long lie in.
Libby x
Libby I do hope you get a decent rest… I don’t count up how many hours I have but it’s not been much the last few days.
We are a right old pair of night owls

I’m still awake. Did go to bed and felt very tired but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was alert. Crazy! I don’t get it as I’ve nothing on my mind, well except sleep!
Hope you read this after a good nights sleep, Lulu.
Goodnight x
Hope I am the only one awake at this hour and the rest of you lovely ladies are managing to get some well needed sleep.
Think I am very impatient, 2.5 weeks post mx & implant and still sore under arm where last troublesome drain was but also tight across implant ( may be the huge dressings I still have across wound and the drain area that are restricting ? ) but probably the worst part is what feels like nerve issues across the top of my new boob. It is bearable if I touch the area reasonably firmly but can’t bear my hair or a light top on it ( I did have a massive haematoma there requiring a second op within 24 hrs of the first which may be why it is so sensitive ??!!) . I can get to a certain point in the day and then can’t stop crying due to discomfort and frustration.
I assume this is normal as the nerves regenerate or whatever they do but not much on the forums about this and I just hope it goes away soon… Rant over…
Any ideas welcome on how I can try to relieve these sensations and if they are normal etc…
Love to all x
Morning … Missed by more than five this time… phone makes posting a “challenge”…
Morning been awake an hour went to sleep at 11.
Both children are out again with my mum and my sister is back from mexico! The house is quite even oh is snoring in another bedroom and I’m still awake. Not good! My tummy is rumbling and just don’t fancy a ginger biscuit I have next to the bed!
Hope you are all in the land of nod now xx
Well I reckon I’ve qualified! Went to bed about midnight but still no sleep - eventually turned the light off at about 1am and awake again at 4.30 - whats going on!! And because I’m slurping on water had to get up twice to the loo. I wanted to get up though to have some food and first steroid. I feel shattered really and a bit headachey so will defo have naps whenever they suit during the day. Am planning on a dog walk though and some fresh air.
Hope some of you got more hours sleep than me!
