Hi night owls. Does anybody else get a horrible taste in their mouth after taking Zopiclone? I have just taken two so my breakfast will be oddly flavoured.
Poor Clare there is nothing worse than a mound of pills to take. Somehow when you have to swallow it appears hard.
Libby that wine sounds lush. I have been very good and just made a mug of tea. No doubt the caffeine will keep me awake but I fancied a brew.

Erm…I’m here again. Seems the clean bed sent hubby off to sleep very quickly & he’s snoring for England ( which he doesn’t often do) so I’m down on the sofa watching a program on the Great Barrier Reef. Would love to dive there but need my heart & lungs to be unscathed after chemo & rads. Love being in the water. Even just snorkelling is fantastic. The sights under the sea are amazing & it’s so peaceful. My first diving experience was in St Lucia & my second in the Domincan Republic. I have also been snorkelling in the Maldives (two separate trips). Just loved it all. A real water baby me & I really miss the sea in the land locked Midlands! Luckily my family still live on the south coast so I can go get my fix of the sea at regular intervals. Sigh…
Nibbling some cream crackers. The antibiotics are upsetting my stomach so fancied eating a dry snack & drinking some water. My boss rang today. I had offered to do so e project work at home in between chemo treatments but he declined saying I just need to get well. Am hoping the dept will be generous enough to leave my wages intact or I will be back before they know it…lol…
Looking forward to spending some time pottering around home after so much time in bed. Want to get my studio spring cleaned. It has become a bit of a dumping ground & if work don’t want me doing anything for them then I’ll be doing lots of music to keep myself occupied. It’s my dream to give up the day job and write full time so I should take advantage of my forced absence from the workplace to start building up my portfolio of songs & music so they can be pitched to contacts in the industry. Having a focus will help me through the chemo plus offset the solitary confinement when hubby is away during the week.
Think I’ve waffled enough…sorry…got a bit carried away but my chest bug must be going as my brain wants to do more than just sleep so that’s a good sign!

Morning girls the DVD was nothing spectacular. Just Danger UXB an old tv series. You will all be too young to remember it. Anthony Andrews the handsome young engineering officer working for bomb disposal. It worked I went to sleep or it could have been the Zopiclone. Whenever I watch something I enjoy the sleep fairy grabs me. If I dislike it I stay awake. I must have been enjoying dear Anthony.
You naughty pair Clare and Twinky you were supposed to be asleep.
Twinky the snorkelling sound wonderful. My darling grandchildren all swim like fish. It is so lovely to see in those do young. Their mother comes from Devon and the outlaws are still there living on the Yelm at Newton Ferris.
Lovely my breakfast has just arrived. Boiled egg and soldiers . Well done husband.

Was awake at 4 and stayed that way till 7 but phone was flat and didn’t want to get out from under the warmth of the duet so just lay there “resting”…

ooh I remember Danger UXB and used to think Anthony Andrews was pretty lush! I also get that weird taste in my mouth just after I have taken Zopiclone and in the morning too - was thinking it was just my imagination.
I caught a bit of one born every minute and babies always make me cry too. I don’t know what I would have done without TV / DVD through chemo and beyond. Wonder what folk used to to do. I know I found it difficult to concentrate to read so spent a lot of time staring into space (and then beating myself up for wasting time LOL)
Twinky - I still get a buzz at tidying up things that are important to me too - how sad is that? I’m not musically inclined but have a sewing room full of fabric that I don’t think I am going to get through in my lifetime… You’ll need to let us know when some of your music is out there so we can have a listen.

Sigh…so little sleep last night I feel sort of hungover if you know what I mean. Just thrown a pork stew into the slow cooker for later. Hubby feels a bit off colour too so we’re having a deliberately lazy day.

I sometimes watch one born every minute but tend to get annoyed with it… Im pretty much banned from watching anything nurse or midwifery related… It’s now 3 years since I practised and my midwifery registration has now lapsed so no more delivering babies for me.
I had a great sleep last night… I fell asleep at the back of 2 and slept all night without waking til 9am… 7 hours! Woohoo!

One Born Every Minute is filmed at my local Hospital and I too sometimes get annoyed - probably for a different reason to you Lulu - my annoyance is at the way Leeds people are portrayed, the programme is slanted and quite obviously mostly shows either very young frightened girls having babies, or women with problems, not typical IMO. BTW, it’s the Hospital where my younger dau was born, and where I have my operations, and it’s actually a fantastic Hospital with very caring staff, but there you go…tv doesn’t necessarily portray the whole truth. There are though some really happy births too, and the midwives are as shown - angels.

I thought I was improving, and I am, but I’m expecting too much of myself and I’m not as well as I thought I was. Never mind, I’ll get there eventually, I hope. There will just be quite a few more sleepless nights before I do…
Sweet dreams, all, will probably be back by about 4, that seems to be my pattern.
Well so far a terrible night for me 2 hours sleep, constipation pains and now the past hour bowel explosion, so to be specific, oh the joys. I just want to sleep. Also my stomache is gurgling but I’ve no appetite! This is mad! Keep trying to either count sheep or visualise being on a beach. Oh well I’ll keep trying.
