Yep Twinky, I’m here as usual. Just taken a sleeping pill, so hoping for drowsiness soon. I dozed on the sofa this evening for a couple of hours, maybe not a good idea! I think I overdid things today, I cleaned the hob which hadn’t been done properly since start of chemo in Sept, tackled a mountain of ironing (still loads to do) and cleaned bathrooms, it knackered me, and my legs and ankles are more swollen than ever, I tried to put shoes on but my ugly fat feet wouldn’t squeeze in to any pair, not even boots.

Sounds like you’re suffering badly with swollen ankles & feet…how about doing some handstands…lol…sorry shouldn’t laugh, they must be a real bind. Hope that your tablets kick in soon. I’m just watching some trashy TV and eating chocolates (Choccie Muffin said it was ok). I’ve got chemo to face yet ( starts 20th Feb) so you’re way ahead of me!

Yes me Twinky, as always. Gutted that I couldn’t go to see my beloved football team win again tonight. OH and dau1 went instead! Watched it on telly though, much warmer, and I had a Baileys hot chocolate at half time!
Seen my oncologist today and I’ll be getting 6x FEC to start in a couple of weeks when my mx scar has healed. I haven’t posted this on the Buddies thread yet. I’m going to a cancer support group tomorrow morning which is run by the nurse specialist I saw today at the cancer clinic. There’s also a lady who sells specialist bras and swimwear, will be good to have a look. Can’t wait to get my prosthesis, I’m sick of this ‘cushion’ stuffed in my bra!!
Well think I’ll hit the chocolate brazils again. Think I might actually try sleeping on the sofa as my OH keeps stealing by v pillow!

I start with FEC too and probably just after you so we’ll have to hold hands through that. I’m getting four of those then moving onto something else ( just waiting for a copy of the letter from the Oncologist outlining all the details as I couldn’t take it all in at once!

I have slept since 12 so wont ccomplain…just having a cuppa then going to try and sleep again…maybe a choci or 2 if Twinky hasn’t gobbled them up!!

Di -best of luck with the FEC, I had FECx3 and Tax. I was only slightly nauseated for a couple of days . The fatigue was presenter I managed a mile or so each day. You will be joining this Up all Night thread with the steroids but it really wasn’t as bad as I expected. Watch your bowels though. Take a couple of Senna tabs before you go, and take them regularly when having the anti emetics.What a subject fit the middle of the night!!

I didnt do too badly last night went to bed about 1am I think pretty early for me… But didn’t sleep well as my bones were aching in my feet and hands and had run out of tramadol so just had some low dose co-codamol which helped a bit… But relieved when the chemist dude did his delivery this afternoon.
Was up fairly early this morning for the nurse to flush and bleed my Hickman line and have dozed off and on all day… But know wide awake again… Think I’m turning day into night and night into day… Maybe I need to move to Oz!

Lulu it sure is . It is a small hilltop village between Oxford and Aylesbury. Pretty but not as bonnie as your lovely city…I was born in Paisley and my ancestors came mainly from Argyll and Ayr but some from Culross and Elgin way.

It sounds lovely… And your right Edinburgh is gorgeous… I love it here especially when the sun is shining even if there is frost on the ground.
I’m doing fine just glad that this time next week I will have had my 6th and final chemo… The aches and pains are lingering this cycle and just seems to be taking me a lot longer to recover but it will all soon be a distant memory.
I used to do a clinic in paisley once a week when I was dong famiy planning in Glasgow… I really liked it… Interesting clientele… And iv got a few friends who live there too.

Spent my first full night with hubby in my own bed! Slept like a log (thank you ear plugs) but disturbed him a bit with my snoring ha ha. I’ll be glad to have my body clock re-set to normal hours. Hope to only visit here just before turning in for the night rather than during the night when I should be asleep!
