Hi Guys,
Back from Plackpool and into a wee bit of a bomb site. Just a wee bit. Electricain is doning work today and getting ceiling finished on Sat, but looking grand.
Dn was in this am to give me jab, I too get the neo thing ( I have given myself 2 jabs in emergencies, when I couldn’t be home) they do seem to buck you up, but last month I gor the bone pain, across my breastbone and hips. Was told that just proves they’re working.
Was advised to call doc as the throat is gearing up for an infection, and the tongue too. I had Nystin last course (still have some left as it seemed to work so fast) So sorry they delayed your chemo Tracy. They did that for mine and it just prolong the process. The jabs boost your blood count through your bome marrow, so perhaps you should request them? I have only had one incident of discomfort with them.
No probs with the feet this time, so far.
Helen, sweetheart, don’t know how you can cope with a wee baby at this time. Your are a hero, and obvoiusly an adoring mum.
Fiona, I am in chemo for no more than an hour, and I am on a 3 combo (FEC) Why is your treatment so long, tiring and arduous? This is even when they can’t use the prevoius vein and had to use my other hand!
I am seeing my onc tomorrow and thuthfully, am sick with nerves. Don’t quite know why. Lack of control probably, and the now unknown. I wa scheduked for 4 FEC, so last Fri was meant to be my last, but they have scheduled another ‘just in case’ as they are so busy. Mr Yusef, who also treated my brother is, I know, hard to read, though I beleive brilliant.
I know this is early stages for most of us, but if here is anyone (Sharon apart) who can give me clue as to tomorrow,- and beyond! well there a large swallie on next lunch - courtesy of moi! I am having real concerns if they found anything in all the tests etc and are waiting to give me the news now that I have been through a stage of this journey.
Does anyone know when Sharon is coming out? I sent a card but didn’t know her last name, hope it reached her!
Well that’s my catharsis over! It does take it out of you being positive the whole time when we are beset by fears of the unknown. Still know nothing about rads, by the way! Or herceptrin, Or even if I am to get a mast or lump. Save questions for Yusef (not espectng definitive answers tomorrow re chemo, will I get more, will I need more post surgery etc, and will pass on my experience to you guys) Hopefully will see Mr Musa soon to discuss surgery options. I don’t really know what a drain is!! Och well, life is a discovery.
Was Sharon meant to be in hosp or a fortnight? Seems ever such a long time.
Going to the Haven with the nephew now while the house is being electrified. Be good for the lad to get some councilling, having lost so many family members to all sorts of thing in the last 2 and a bit years. Tells on kids (he’s 21! and 6’1")
Speak later girls. Hope you are all keeping well. Hope your bloods allow you the strength to get the poison, hope your partners, kids and babies are thriving, hope your wigs bond to you like they own you (mine’s is now scabby, need stiching etc, due a new one next month) hope you keep your lovely chins up and your sense of humour right up there. And we will beat his.
Love you lots like jellytots
