Yvonne…
Hang in there girl. The docs are just deciding about the best course of treatment for you.Let us know what they say today.Who is your consultant?
I have invasive breast cancer myself…not sure about everyone else.
I also had the genetic test and was positive for the BRACA 2 gene hence the reason why I had the BLM.
Will post again later

Morning Peeps,
That’s what you call rain!!!
Gosh Yvonne, you’ve had a lot of to-oing and fro-ing with the docs, but I suppose they want to make sure that the treatment you get is the right one for the long term…I had heard of the invasive lobular part of your cancer but not the pleomorphic part, but then my cancer is only listed in my notes as Adenocarcanoma of the breast and I don’t see many people talking about that…!! although according to onc it’s common…I googled it and it just means “Gland”… so I’ve derived that there are Lobes, Ducts and glands in the breast… Lots of nice wee places for cancer to nestle? Anyway, good luck for Wed, hope you get it all sorted out with the Docs. X
Pauline - how you feeling today? everything healing nicely, have you got DN’s in to see to you? X
Helen - Glad your starting to feel a bit better… I went on the wii fit last night to get weighed!! HO HO… I went on 3 weeks ago and I have put on 8lbs since then!!! Holy Crap, nearly had a fit!! see what happens when you don’t have mouth ulcers! usually work helps me keep the weight down, but with lounging about all the time I’m in big trouble!! Having to reasses the “eat what you want coz I’m on chemo ethos”!! I’m Having an eatathon this week too (Help!!) X
Annie - Good luck with Mr Musa today, hope you don’t get bamboozled with too many options. I didn’t get any!! I was told what I was getting… mind you I think my head was so scrambled at the time, they could have told me anything and I would have said “ok , that’s fine”! X
Sheila - Have you recovered yet? what did you get up to with your neice? X
Sharon - Hope all is well with you and you had a nice time at your sister’s. X
Everybody else, hope you are doing well? XX
Hope the rain goes away!!
Hugs

Hi Fiona
I loved your note, it really made me laugh. I think you’ve been eating to many lunches - and saying that, we’ll have to arrange another lunch soon! Although I’m questioning everything I’m eating at the momment which isn’t much as I still feel sick, I think there’s a lot to be said for eating what you can when you feel up to it.
Yvonne - hang in there and try not to worry too much. After a few disastrous posts and lost messages I tend to type my message in word and then cut and paste into the post.
Hope everyone else is doing ok
Helen
Hi Guys
Angry Annie here.
They got my appt wrong! my sis was up her 9.30 for 10.30, and I am scheduled for 3.15 in the computer! At home for a nap, I am now offiially Nettie van Winkle - and going up again this pm. Moira had to go home as her youngest 2 still come home for lunch, painter is in and so am upstairs with all of my downstairs stuff all over the room! Walls are Egyptian Cotton (aka off white, and ceiling is White Lace (aka white), some of which is on my good linen jacket. Don’t know why we put the effort in seeing the docs. Any suggestions?
Slept in the car while my sis and auntie did the shopping (we did plan to go for lunch) Feel like Miss Chemo Brain 2009.
Glad you all seem to be coping so well, my best and warmest wishes to each and every one of you.
Annie xxxxx
Hi girls
Woke up with nippy eyes and skin the same shade as (Egyptian Cotton ) my off white walls) Was going to tart myself up to see Mr Musa but thougtht "No dammit, this is what chemo has done to me, as well as robbing me of my hair, eyebrows, lashes, and everything else hat made me me.
So, waiting for my sis, who will rush in screaming in 5 mins “ARE YOU READY???” thought I would share same shitty one liners … if I may?
How did the stranded pig get down from the room? The Swine Flu.
Chap paid a fiver to go into a private zoo. Walked out in disgust 5 mins later. It had only one animal, a dog. It was a shitzu.
A frog walks into a bank for a loan. The teller was called Patsy Whack. She asked the frog it’s name “Kermit Jagger” he replied, “Son of MIck Jagger” Nonplussed (good word eh?) she asked for colateral. Kermit produced a beautiful wee porcelain figuruine of a snake. She took the ‘collateral’ to the Bank Manager for advice, asking what it was
His response …
“It’s a knicknack Patsy Whack, give the frog a loan”
At the baker’s Olympics a pastry maker was disqualified or making a false tart …
I’ve got millions more, God Forgive us
Gotta go loves, hear the car screeching … will let you know what Mr Musa says …feeling bit nervous now…
Speak soon
PS - contacting MPs will achieve sod all, please take my word on this. This need a serious, professional expose of the entire system.
Please think of ways to highlight the plight of the newly ill (not just cancer) I feel we owe it to them to highlight the outage that exists.
With heaps of love and best wishes
Grumpy Annie xx

Sharon!
We must have passed each other -I saw him a little later (my apt was 3.15, but saw him nearer 4) One of my neighbours was there - her daugher(in her VERY early 20’s had found a lump - which Thank God was benign. A shock seeing your next door neighbour but 1 on that bloody waiting room!!
Was Mr Musa pleased with your progress?I am getting pre op assessment on Fri,but giving me a month because I have had a bad time with the chemo.
Wish I had met you this pm Sharon, hope to do so soon.
Sorry, but I’ve got millions of those crappy jokes, gotta stop hanging round with my wee neices!
Oh one more … groan
A vampire bat flies into the cave, his face covered in blood. All the other bats swarm around him excitied, asking where he got it.
“Follow me” he says and swoops out of the cave, all the other bats flapping eagerly behind him.
He flies over the deep, dark river, over the black open fields and into the dark, scary forest.
“There” says he, pointing to a great majestic oak tree. “Can you see that?” All the other bats nod frantically. “Well I BLOODY didn’t” he says.
I thank you.

Off to sleep. Annie van Winkle.

Hi everyone
Sounds as if things are still tough for a some of us. The weather doesn’t help, always seems easier to smile when the sun is shining. I got travel insurance yipee !!!. Wouldn’t cover me for cancellation as my secondary dx was really recent but it’s just over five weeks some i am not worried about that. I have full medical cover for anything bc related a £100 excess and it only cost me a £150. Some companies were quoting me over a £1000. Florida here we come.
Got a meeting with my HR on Friday to discuss ill health retirement can’t see ever being fit to go back. I don’t know how long i have and i want to be around as much as possible for my kids. Not looking forward to it but at least things are moving forward.
Would be keen to meet you all for lunch as its good to get to know who you are chatting with. Helps me remember who is who as my chemo brain has never fully recovered.
Take care everyone
