@bluesatsuma that looks great. You should wear it with confidence.
One of my wig options is a cheapy one from Amazon. Its pink and really quite badly made (what do you expect for Ā£12!) but as it is obviously not pretending to be proper hair i can get away with it. Its my go to cheer me up wig.

Hi @sievehead I like the colour and if you canā€™t wear something different now, when can you?! Looks good on you and probably because I donā€™t know your normal look it appears quite normal, so I say enjoy it!

@dhmb Iā€™m loving embracing all my different hair options - no one knows who they are going to get from one day to the next!
Here are some of my looks - excuse the funny faces I pull, Iā€™m not good at posing for the camera!

I hope some of the following inspire some of you to be a bit braver with your hair/headwear options. Xx

My wig on a good day. Much like my normal hair but better. Trouble is I sometimes have trouble with it slipping but depends on how I get it fitted on. Quite fancy a purple or pinky one now but am leaning more to scarves and turbans at the moment, depends what weā€™re doingā€¦ :woman_shrugging:t2:

@anne3 that looks fab - so natural. Have you tried wearing a wig band to secure it a bit more? I bought one of these from Etsy wich helps. Only Ā£2.99 inc p&p so at that price could be worth a try? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1250245186/variety-colours-velvet-wig-grip-hold-wig?ref=yr_purchases

@sievehead. I like them all! Cap with plaits is quite appealing but would I forget and try to take the hat off ?! Amazing how different each one makes you look too.

Great having a different look all the time - Iā€™m probably quite boring normally so think this experience will perk me up a bit even just with scarves and headbands :grinning:
My favourite turban with added fringe - excuse the nails - I was demonstrating Iā€™d actually painted them as I never normally do!

Im a big fan of the fringes. Looks great. I think if you had a fringe before you lost your hair adding in this option doesnt make us look like a chemo patient!
Enjoy your experimentation. Xx

@sievehead and @anne3 dam ladies you are absolutely rocking the looksšŸ’Æ

Itā€™s amazing to see how the different wigs make your appearance change @sievehead and it true: If you canā€™t experiment now when can you?

@anne3 the nails look great, loving them

Thanks for the inspiration ladies, Iā€™ll put my nig girl pant on and have a goā€¦ in a bit :rofl::rofl: or most likely tomorrow when Iā€™m by myself to start of with :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

One step at a time right?

Have a great Sunday lovelies :kissing_heart:

Loving all the wig pics ladies! Nice to put names tp faces too @sievehead and @anne3 . They all look great. My purple wig may get an outing to a couple of gigs soon. But fir now im just happiest in a hat. 2 days from 3rd EC and i feel rough today. Boys are at rugby till 2 and daughter is at stables all day so just going to enjoy the quiet time. I did quite a lot yesterday, slept badly and woken up with the steroid red face.

Just wanted to ask @bigpickleā€¦is it you who starts docetaxel on 14th? Iā€™m just wondering what premeds theyā€™ve given you? Iā€™ve got 3 days of steroids for before and 2 weaker anti sickness for the day of first docetaxel. They said the anti sickness tablet i had for EC was overkill for docetaxel. X

Iā€™m also feeling awful after my first ec. Just the headscarf today as feel so sick and dizzy. Had a different anti sickness from paclitaxel but never really felt sick on that.. Hoping this will gradually improve as hate being out of action! Take care all xx

Hi bluesatsuma

Yep, I am due my first docetaxel on 14 October. I was given some steroids, which I have to take 4 12 hours before treatmentā€¦so 9:45 pmā€¦no sleep for me :see_no_evil:, take another 4 3 hours before treatment and another 4 1 hour before treatment, then 4 twice a day for the 2 days after. Thatā€™s a lot of steroids. I havenā€™t been given any anti sickness but my chemo nurse did say I would have anti sickness via picc before chemo infusion and that docetaxel doesnā€™t cause as much nausea as EC.

@anne3 hang in there lovely, it gets better. My fiest EC was by far the worst. Different cycles broight up different side effects but nothing that wasnā€™t manageable, worst bit was actually lack of sleep. Sleep when you can and if stuff doesnā€™t get done it doesnā€™t, you come first, remember to be kind to yourself thatā€™s the most important bit and i put my hans up i kinda did forgetā€¦

Hugs xx

@dhmb. aw thank you so much, youā€™re so kind. Made me cry - another side effect I think being so emotional :smiling_face_with_tear:. Lovely to have you all out there as itā€™s so hard to explain how you feelā€¦ having a quiet day doing cross stitch and drinking ginger cordial.
Hoping youā€™re feeling ok today, not long till yr appt at least now.
Look after yourself in the meantime! :two_hearts:
