I am glad you told us and also that I got in before midnight. I always forget that quite a few of us have birthdays close together. When is your Lisa? Mine is in about a fortnight. Mind you sonād is 2 days befoe mine and maybe a grandson in before then too! Gosh it will be a busy present time in the future. YD is refusing to reply to her partner who announced to her that ideally she should be pregnant again before this Christmas!!I didnāt think he could run fast enough to get away ha ha. She says he is serious too arggh. No news but she is with the midwife tomorrow so we will see what happens then. She has been measuring 44 weeks already!
P I was going to say is your woof a chow and then noticed you said this in the later post. They have black tongues donāt they? He looks a real character. Glad to hear he is taking his tablets nicely, long may that last.Hope you had a really lovely day all smiles x
Nick fab news about the job. just a relief I am sure and some peace of mind. Will he be travelling overseas or in the UK? just wondering if you could wangle some trips with part paid by the company.
So what colour will the loo be? I just went crazy and ordered these really bright big patterned curtains off amazon on a whim. They were very cheap for a such a huge window so wondering what i will think of them when they are up!!
Lisa well thats 2 mums have told you off, or did your real one do it too? You will be in for so much teasing if we ever meet up! Thank you , I am feeling fine just a sore throat now but will be happy if it doesnāt turn into a cold. The pup attacks me if I sneeze, literally launches herself 4 feet at a time through the air to land on me.Well as we know only too well we can only lose weight if we burn more off or eat less than we want to. I am not sure which scares me most out of the two ha ha. I did go on the wii tonight and I had lost one pathetic pound despite almost 2 days of no food (how does that seem fair). Oh well as I would write in my reports ā could do better.

Val do you have plans where you will wear those lovely outfits you mentioned? You could probably get in a visit somewhere before the inevitable snow is on its way again, hopefully never!

Hi to everyone else, Lisa, well done on the weight loss, steady is GOOD! Often quicker weight loss is fluid and not actual weight. As long as itās coming off and youāre not tempted too often to have a day off then all is good! Have fun at the weekend though 
Wow - a busy time for Lily coming up and also from then on in with lots of birthdays. My busy time is end of the year with most of my family having bādays in Oct, Nov and Dec - not good timing at all. At least YD and I have it a bit less hectic in March.
Hope everyone else is doing OK? The horrible rain has stopped and the sun has come out - thank goodness. It looked like the middle of the night this morning when I got up.

Still being good on diet and only day off is birthday Saturday with friends as off away, mam and dad bought me some champers from edinburgh and itās still there winking at me lol!

well not a lot to report really. Bit worried about YD as the swelling bp and protein keep bobbing up and down, mostly up. She has been sent back to see the consultant next but she is not really on the ball from what I have seen. She never has anyone waiting to see her and always free to see you the same day. A big why from me. I wish and wish the baby would start on his own tonight or very soon so they have to make a decision. Too much dithering is she ok or not for me. I bought her a big book for new parents to keep her busy sitting down and she was telling me about it, so maybe the book will keep her off her feet. She has had to borrow one of Victorās garden coats as she can no longer do her biggest one up. Her tummy is 48 inches round now!!! She really looks like she is carrying twins but I think it is fluid really.
I finally remembered to frontline the pup after she woke me up and drove me crazy doing lunatic scratching when I was half asleep. Hope it was not too late and the hoppers have got in 
Lisa whats on your birthday list? Always tricky when it is close to christmas. You must be like me and never get any summer type pressies. Nicky Noo some days I donāt even see my car in daylight!! Love it when the early days start again. How does anyone cope when they have 24 darkness?

Lisa - donāt you start getting scared now, itās what you want so try to look at it that way. I know itās a worry to have a big op but Iām sure you will be fine, however worry away to us if you need to
Well, after a grim start, a sunny middle and a grim end to yesterday itās back to being grim again, the joys of January. At least you can see it getting a little bit lighter at each end of the day though. Poor OH is also travelling both times in the dark ATM whereas heās always been lucky enough to work locally before. He is getting used to the commute though and most days itās not too bad.

I must admit I cant get out of bed most mornings but when itās dark itās really hard. Iāve been popping to bed a bit earlier, or trying to close down earlier to wind down but we will see how I get on lol!
been so good on diet this week, better have the results lol! Birthday list, nothing really, it is hard after xmas as clothes are in the middle of seasons and I dont want to buy anything till after op, hoping I can ditch some scarves eventually, just hoping they will be similar in size. Got my comedy night tickets on by best buddie so thatās next weekend, think mam and dad are buying me a holdall that had a pull along handle as a weekend away doesnt need a case but hate carrying heavy bags so seen a nice one with a matching vanity case, pity its main trip will be hospital lol!!
So anything nice planned for weekend anyone? any baby arrivals maybe?!?!

just a quick post after beung bounced into wakefulness by ED ringing to say mum Iāve got a pain. I was so excited, she was insisting it wasnāt labour pains as it was low down, in the middle, more like tummy ache and back ache and me going thats it, thats it, thats it to everything. Afre an hour of this she said well its stopped now any way!!! I am deflated and wide awake!

Itās been a very grey and miserable day here, enough to give you the pip. Hope you have faired better wherever you are.
Lily, sorry that your excitement has probably passed, but perhaps itās a good sign that things are starting? Tummy ache and back ache can go on for a few days before actual labour canāt it, but hope that YD doesnāt find it unbearable too quickly.
Nicky I really canāt handle the dark mornings either, when I have to be up at 7 am to drive YD to school, it feels like the middle of the night and if the car didnāt know itās own way I donāt think weād get there. I really couldnāt live anywhere with 24 hours of darkness!
Lisa try not to think too much about your op, but if I can go through it Iām positive you can, and you will be fine. It really isnāt as bad as you probably think it will be, I found the thought of it was more scary than the actual op. Iām so glad I had my op ā almost a year ago now! How have you gone with tidying your jewellery room aye? Yes, I agree with Val you have a lovely photo.

Iām pleased to say the dishwasher and washing machine are working again ā the plumber came to fit a pressure valve on the mains water pipe. Mr P returned late on my birthday, so I had a ānot my birthday, birthdayā on 19th and he cooked us some beautiful steaks. He has his nose polyps operation on Monday so Iām doing my best at keeping him calm mind you he doesnāt really worry about much so I think he is ok. He should only stay in hospital on the night of the operation so hopefully back home on Tuesday (probably feeling a bit sorry for himself) but now itās my turn to look after him for a change so I will try to be a good nurse.

Well no news from Yd as everything has gone quiet again. She has refused to jump up and down for 5 minutes, as I requested to start him off. She says her feet are bursting with fluid and it hurts to walk at all so not good. She is at the hospital again on wed and I really hope they book her in and donāt let her wait for another 2 wekks plus a fortnight to be late.
Well must be off to bed. Is anyone else addicted to Take me out? I know it is silly but I find it rather amusing. Victor thinks it is the most dire thing that anyone ever invented, guess that makes me laugh even more

Brrrhhh cold, sleety and windy here, they joys, but been trying to focus on looking forward to my hols, hopefully it can all still go ahead, 9 weeks after op so I have something to aim for, lets just hope i have nice new boobs to put in a cossie as have dobule the failure rate having both done.
Peacock, hope your hubbie will be good patient, thanks for vote of confidence but Im just worried how i will cope with both sides as i always use my good side to pull myself up etc. really nervous, lots more than my other ops!

hiya, my photo was taken at my work xmas party, the larger version is awful, usually hate smiling cos of my teeth, would love to get them fixed but thought of braces again after all this is too much but my photos are awful as i try to keep my mouth shut.
Fingers crossed daughter gets kept in on wedensday sounds like its pretty tough on all of you.

friday night on the way home from work feeling and the whole weekend stretching ahead with all those possibilities, all those places I could go, all those people I could see, all that time and then bam its sunday and rush to get everything done for work. Where does all that nice time go? Well I did see all the family so i did see lovely people, I did hug my grandsons for as long as I could before they escaped. I did get my work done for next week and i did get everything ready for the meetings I have. BUT I didnāt do a lot of things I could.
Hmm well I didnāt
. go for a walk
. go on the wii again
. order the cupboard i need for the kitchen
. decide on a date for the holiday for Victorās 60th
. decide on a summer holiday
. do any cleaning
. sort out my old clothes
. stick to my diet
. do anything different from any other weekend
. become a grandmother again
. do anyhting at all exciting.

Well, totally agree, I love the weekends but they do go soooo fast, I think i try to fit everything into the weekends that i cant do during the week. Well what didnt I do:-
- sort out my self assessment
- sort out all my invoices
- finish all my jewellery orders
- take dog for a long walk
- clean my car
- sort out my back bedroom
- clean my kitchen floors
- sort out accommodation for parents when in hospital
and the list goes on, believe you me I have one and its more than one page lol!
But on a postive note, what did I get done:
- tidied my jewellery room and reorganised it - job and a half!
- spent time with parents
- stuck to diet
- had wine
- spent time with my niece and nephew
- spent time with best bud and daughter
- cooked a curry (diet!)
- chilled out
- made some jewellery for my mam
- sorted out all my mams jewellery collection
- done no workā¦

go Lis, that was a good list of jobs done, well until next weekend!
I have so many progs recorded on sky it would take me a week to watch them all. caught up with BB tonight. We laughed at them all having a hissy fit. I am hoping Gareth will win now. Argu,ents seem to be the tv theme for editors now as they have argued non stop on shopwrecked too for this series. I have not enjoyed it nearly as much as the 2 island shows.

No gossip here neither. Been tidying and busy at work but day off tomorrow, was due to go to the dentist, but they have cancelled, what a nice treat so paperwork to get tax return in for jewellery busines and bit behind and trying to sort other paperwork out and make some food. Weigh in tomorrow:-( Preston on saturday, looking forward to a good giggle.
