Hi,
hooray hooray he arrived tonight, so now we have 3 little chaps to spoil. It was a bit of an episode as she has been having pains every night but stopping in the morning. Well not a lot happened all day just backache she said but she thought he might be on the way. This evening they moved all the furniture ready to have him at home and the birth pool out ready. Within 20 minutes her waters went (explosively she said)and had meconium in so was ordered straight into hospital. A tearful Yd rang to say going in, followed slightly later by a call from her panicking partner that he had forgotten her notes, that you cannot leave home without. So I did an emergency dash with every key I could find as we were not sure which fitted their current door, managed to just get the code in before the burglar alarm went off and found them. Then dashed into hospital and was right outside knowing she was in there. They have really hefty security now so all locked up. Handed notes in, came home, started telling Victor what happened when my phone pinged and it was a sweet pic of her beaming face holding her little boy in a pink hat!!! nearly threw me with the pink hat!So a very fast first labour of under 90 mins I guess. Strangely she almost exactly followed my labour with her, with him born at almost exactly the same time of night, a labour of almost the same time and he was born hand first like she was. The only sad bit was that she had to go into theatre for surgery to sort it out and have an epidural after the labour! So will be walking wounded for a bit but very happy to have him. So they are in for the night to keep an eye on him in case swallowed/breathed in any nasties from the waters and her after the epidural. I have to go to work argggh knowing he is next door grrrr and will have to wait all day for my first cuddle. Its been a very exciting and also worrying evening
Nanna Lily the third
yipppppeeee amazing news, glad they are all well. how wierd must it have been to have been outside knowing she was just inside giving birth, so happy for you all, Lily the third now!!! Amazing news, look forward to seeing photos and hope you have a lovely cuddle tomorrow!
Nanny MacLily!!!
What fab news Lily , worrying and frustrating at the time but wow was that quick! Lucky YD and I hope they did a good job later and sheās not in too much pain, ouch. 3 boys, lucky you. maybe this is the reverse of you and the next one will be a girl? Hereās hoping today has gone past so quickly for you so you can get that all important 1st cuddle in
Hugs to all the Lily family.
And hi to everyone else on here being blown around and rained on, hmm, not so good. Well done on the tax return Lisa, OH has been doing his and has managed to tick that one off for another year and beat the end of year rush when he says the systems (HMRC) tend to crash or go verrrrry sloooooowly! Good luck with the weigh in as well, you have been doing so well so I hope all this hard work is paying off.
A very wet miserable day here yesterday. Went into town to get a couple of things only to realise Iād left my purse at home, duh. Luckily before Iād gone into any shops, so a turn around, back home and pick up purse. Frustrating but hey ho, not the end of the world!
Nicky xxx
Back later, hope Nanny McLily is having a big cuddle.
argh Nicky havent started it yet, oh dear never done one befor but need to do all my books first, today got overtook canāt resist spending time with nephew.
Well another 3lb, so at 9lb in 3 weeks, unfortunately away this weekend so wont be a good weight lossā¦
xx
Just popping in quickly to catch up, but so much to look back on so will just say CONGRATULATIONS to Nanna Lily on the glad arrival and am so pleased all went well, and quickly too. Bet heās a lovely little chap?
Great news
Hope everyone is ok, will read back and catch up soon - lots going on here with decorating etc.
Love to all xxx
Early doors for me, shutting down early as havent even had tea⦠clean house clean mind, well getting there, slowley, tonight I have cleaned out all my paperwork that had for ages and got new files and folders and at last all that paperwork is now nicely stored in my nice and tidy jewellery making room, exhaused and didnt enjoy finding my cancer prognosis and seeing how bad it looks, brings back too many memories along with some other documents I didnt want to see, but they are all stored where they belong now. Very strange, Iām always a bit like this before I go into hospital
Night all, hope you had fun with babs Lily, canāt wait to hear what heās going to be called xx
Hi,
one happy hugging Nanna over here He is soooooooooo sweet and weeny with that new baby smell and all snuggled up as though he is still inside. He has some mid brown hair that I can see is going to fall out and a lot of much lighter hair underneath. He has really big wide set eyes like YD and I think on the whole our genes took over again. Will see it clearer when his head and face decides what shape to settle at. Bub (number 2) seemed to change shape for 3 weeks or so after he was born. He of course looks huge next to our new baby, who is called Jack
They only got out of hospital late this evening as Ydās bp went to 160/97 causing a panic. So we were told come now for a flying visit and then we all want to go to bed. I had 3 cuddles between MD and Ed stealing him off me!!! She looks really well after the birth but has really serious problems following the delivery, of a scale I didnāt realise happened. Fortunately she had a specialist for surgery so fingers crossed it will be ok. On big painkillers, anti biotics and lots of other drugs to try to keep things ok. I really wish that side had gone better for her.
Lisa just think how old that piece of paper is and how far you have come since then? After the next one I reckon you could call yourself the bionic booby Weight loss was fantastic, now I know where my increase came from
Thanks for congrats too Peacock and Nicky. Sounds like you have both been busy and hoping for better weather although I have snow on most birthdays so I think it is actually pretty good weather for the time of year. I hate defrosting the car and driving on ice and snow.
Night
Nany McLily (I like it
Definitely an ouch, Lily
Really hope she recovers from that very quickly and it doesnāt detract from the joy of Jack Lucky you, you wonāt know which way to turn now with all these grandsons. Bet you canāt wait for the weekend and not too long until half term when you will have even more time with them all.
Lisa, well done you on the tidying up and doing your filing. How odd that you do it before your ops, must be something deep rooted However the one thing you didnāt do is throw out the prognosis bit of paper - do it now! Great news on the dieting, see it is working and as long as you stick to liquids at the weekend youāll be fine LOL
Hi to everyone else, must be all very busy as its so quiet on here, hope you are all well.
Iām off to test drive a new car today. Iāve had my current one for 6 years, a record for me, but have decided I need a change so itās up to the local dealership to try a couple of Fiat 500ās out
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing.
Nicky xx
OOOH so much has been happening on hereā¦
Welcome Baby Jack. Hope your daughter has a quick recovery Lily. Three babies to cuddle. Oh when will it be my turn. To be hnest I prefer them when they are a wee bit older than newborn when they respond to faces etc. But another baby boy. well done.
Nicky I hope you find the car of your dreams. Let us know if you get one. Just donāt forget it in the garage if you do buy oneā¦like you did with your purse!
Lisa, You just donāt realise what a great way you have come in such a short time. You are sorting everything out too tidying your beads and paperwork and on top of that you have also lost weight. It will be great for you once the operation is completed then all you have to do is find a man who is good enough for you. You have a lovely smile so once you are all sorted you will be fine.
Peacock, I presume you are almost at an end with all your painting. Glad you got the washing machine and plumbing all sorted out. Nothing worse. Plumbing seems to be a common problem in France. Is MR P still will you. Hope you havenāt worn him out too much. He will be going back to work for a rest!
Well my energy is zilch. Got my bloods done last week before treatment and HB was low. Told to repeat blood test yesterday and it has gone down a little which is not the right direction! I am seeing my Consultant on Monday so to leave it until then. But nurse told me if I become breathless at weekend to call the duty doctor at the hospital and they can arrange a blood transfusion. I think I will be ok until Monday. The following week I see my Orthopaedic consultant. But I am physically uncomfortable and have aches and pains so s=do not know which Consultant will be able to help me as yet. I can also go back to see my Pain Specialist teamā¦so lots of routes to go down if necessary.
Love to you all. Was sunny here but now overcast. Val.
Hi,
well the boss could not say no I was bouncing so much and I was allowed to leave work early to see the baby Dashed over and stopped to pick up a few treats on the way like some easy meals and some dairy free biscuits for her to enjoy. She looks so happy and he is gorgeous. Midwives arrived not longer after me and insisted on holding him
so had to wait to get my bundle back. She has not been around babies as a bit of a tom boy when younger so MD is training her in what to do. MD is a real earth mother and it all comes very easily and naturally to her, so she is perfect as her mentor. She is at the tricky stage of breastfeeding with no milk yet so we are trying to keep her confident and not give up until she is sure what she wants to do rather than think she canāt do it. She is brilliant at dressing him and carrying him around and winding after feeds. He is very sleepy but up all night so a rather tired mummy.
Nicky how exciting to change cars. A lot of teachers have the 500 so I know they are very in at the moment, always seem to be white? Have fun .
Val well it is lovely to hear a message from you, especially as it must be tiring to type from what you have said. I have my fingers crossed that you wonāt need emergency blood over the weekend. Have they discovered why it is dropping yet? Must be very difficult to do even simple daily things, poor you. Also poo to hear you are uncomfortable and personally I would encourage you to see someone sooner rather than later. After uncomfy might come worse pain and going sooner will give you time to get an appointment and the chance to get something to help. These things take time to organise and get working so hop to it lassy Cyber hugs x
Lisa keep the faith donāt eat them!!!
Hi to everyone else and if all else fails eat cake
Lily x
Nooo, no cake, strawberries lol! Well even turned down a wee wine tonight, so tempted but saving myself so dont undo all weight loss.
Nicky, yippeee car shopping, more importantly what colour!? so love my white harrybo but god heās a nightmare to keep clean⦠have fun!
Lily, Jack is a lovely name, bet he smells lovely, lucky you and hope daughter is on the mend soon xx
Peacock hope the decorating so going well and you arent too tired!!
Val, everything crossed that you dont need bloods this weekend and that any route can give you some comfort asap, take care xxx
Well achievement for today - my tax records all done and spreadsheets compelted for last few months only to realise I wont need to do a tax form until next year as itās april to april isnt it? I only set up in August - hey ho itās a job well done anyhow.
Happy almost friday, yipppeeeee⦠xxxx
well early visit for me as off to preston with my friends tomorrow, so excited, dont know wether its chillin with mates or the day of the diet that is exciting me more, anyhow had a wee pamper after work, eyebrows waxed and tinted and hair cut short, happy days, all packed up now, they are in shock, false nails on and about to pour a glass of vinoā¦
have a lovely weekend all xxxx catch up on sunday xxxx
Hi,
Lisa have a fantastic trip with your friends, sounds like a lot of preparartion so expecting to hear about a big night or two. Canāt remember if you were staying over. Have pre-birthday fun. x.
Hooray went straight over for a cuddle with baby after work I have asked if I can just move in for a month or two but denied this indulgence!!! Things are settling nicely for mum and baby and he is feeding and snoozing like a goodun. Quite a busy weekend with bubās christening and then sonās birthday and mine next week, busy days and lots of meet ups.
Enjoy your weekend
Lily x
Hi ladies
What fab times you two bumpers are having
Lisa, you may only pick this up after the event but have a great weekend with your mates. Sounds like youāll look a treat as well. Pre birthday hugs from me as well
Lily, you must be in seventh heaven with all these babies! Have a lovely weekend as well, with the Christening Iām sure you will have all your family around you, I can see you beaming now pre happy birthday for you and all the family as well.
Val, sorry to hear that you are feeling uncomfortable again and low energy levels. What a bloody drag, just when youād hoped that the op and last transfusion would have sorted things out Wishing you a comfortable weekend with no medical activities at all!
Well, itās all very quiet with me. I did test drive the Fiat and have decided Iād definitely like one! Just need to sort out a couple of scratches on my car and then sell that. Btw I think the reason there are so many white 500s on the road is that they are the only ones you donāt have to pay extra for the paint colour!
Hi to everyone else, hoping that your weekends are good.
Nicky xx
Lisa it sounds like you are getting yourself very organised, good on you for that it is probably a safety net so that you can be well and truly on top of things just after your op. I havenāt got any of my original diagnoses documents as they were all burned with the house fire, maybe thatās a good thing but I have no record now of exactly when my chemo days were ā why would I need to know that in the future ??? Fantastic efforts for your weight loss, keep it up and youāll be well on target. In case I am not around, I wish you a Happy Birthday for 30th ā have a good one.
Nicky youāve got a new car to look forward to but itās surprising how quickly a ānewā car becomes an old car, just like changing a T Shirt ā by that I mean that it is great to drive a brand new car with all those new smells, but it soon becomes a part of the furniture so to speak. Our new car is now 3 months old and already looks filthy and needs a good clean, but it is still very nice to drive.
Nice to hear from you Val but sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable, despite that you still sound like your cheery self and it must be hard to try and stay bright with all the health issues you have.
Lily, well what can I say? Jack! Lovely name one of my favourites. Lucky you having a new little bundle to cuddle, I am jealous ā I love new born babies and said I could have one every year if only they stayed babies! Also sorry to learn of YDās difficulties, poor thing, hope it doesnāt have any long lasting effects.
Well I am pleased to say we have one room finished at last, our ensuite bathroom! I havenāt done too much except make humongous amounts of coffee for Mr P, but it looks lovely. It has grey floor tiles, cream and grey wall tiles and a spanking new white suite. The toilet is very posh, if you just flip the toilet lid down it closes itself, magic! As for the rest of the decorating, it remains grey plasterboard but, if each room looks as nice as the bathroom does it will be worth waiting for.
Weāve booked our holiday in July to Spain, the same place that we went last year as we did like it and I am visiting the UK in 2 weeks time so Iām excited about that. The main reason for going is to stay with my elderly Mum for a week as both my brother and sister (who live close to her) are away on holiday and I donāt like the thought of her being on her own without aid close by ā sheās 85 and living completely independently although sheās not in great health.
Itās turned really chilly here and the forecast is for ā 10 degrees by the end of the week and snow. I think UK weather is also turning colder so we must wrap up and wear our hats LOL.
Love to all xxx
Hi,
P the bathroom sounds lovely and serene, super colour choice. I bet you will enjoy using that, if that doesnāt sound odd ;). Holidays too, now I am jealous, no plans made here yet. Yes I can tell you nanna time is sending me on a big high. I HAD to pop over again to see littlun tonight. They all take the micky out of me as I just stand over whoever has him or bub when he is around and say 'give!'in a demanding tone until I have them in my arms. I would have had one every year too P
Nicky it sounds like you know what car you want now. I did not realise about the paint cost, makes sense that so many are white now. Mind you I think they look really cute in white. What is the boot like for the food shop?
Well must go to bed as up early
Val hope you are ok still and didnāt have to go in.
Lily x
Lily, Guess this new little baby should be nicknamed āJack of Heartsā ā¦well of Lilyās heart anyway!
Lisa the only time I cleaned the house and organised everything like you are doing was before the birth of my two babies! I know that you are desperate to get your op over with but perhaps that means you are going to meet the man of your dreams while you are in there!
Peacock, Glad you are making progress with your new home. Hope you are keeping well. Hope you have a great holiday when you go to Spain later in the year.
Nicky hope you are in receipt of your new car and enjoying the thrill of it all. I love cars, always have done. I started to drive years before on a tractor!
Well I didnāt need a transfusion over the weekend but I am seeing my Oncologist tomorrow so think it will be happening before too long. My OH said my colour was awful when we were out on Friday and when I looked in the mirror he was right. And I did feel hellish and went to sit in the car while he purchased the shopping. Just running out of energy. Head wants to do stuff but the body is rebelling! Hope you have all had a good weekend. Val
So sorry to hear the energy levels are so low Val Really hope your onc can deliver the goods tomorrow. I havenāt got my car yet but have pretty much decided what I want, also Iāve been negotiating hard to get the price down!
P, your ensuite sounds gorgeous, at least you can start the day, and finish it, in a lovely completed room, bliss. Hope you are not working too hard on all the deorating etc but at least you are now reaping the rewards. Howās the driving going with YD? Does she have to drive for a year before she can drive alone? Canāt remember the rules in France but my YD has told me before.
Lily, I expect youāve had a fab weekend, what with babies galore and the christening, tell us how it went when you catch your breath
Lisa, hope your weekend away was fun, Iām sure it would have been
Hi to everyone else
Well, again a v quiet weekend for us, just a few chores and a rubbish DVD last night! Baked a small cake today, small because thereās not enough people at home to share a big one with so Iām sure Iād eat too much of it. OH and I did watch the tennis final though, which I donāt always do, so that set us back an hour or two as it was so long, but great to watch.
Hope the weekend was nice for you all.
Nicky xx
Hi,
Val you will be in my thoughts tomorrow so try to pop in and let us know how you got on. I have heard that the improvement after a transfusion is fairly instant so hoping to hear they have given you a big burst of energy to enjoy yourself a bit more. Crikey those shops will be wondering where their best bargain hunter is Loved your name for the baby. Anyway much as I donāt like to hear of you having to have treatments, when they do their stuff and give you happy days, I do like to hear that they are getting on with it and not keeping you waiting.Good luck x.
Nicky well quiet days with a cake and watching tennis sound pretty cool to me!I knew Lisa and I would convert you in the end
What a lovely day I had with bubās (smilerās)christening. (I really am going to have to decide on their internet names, lets see - little chap, smiler and baby from now on then). It was a crazy, lovely service with the place full of our families and also 2 familis had decided to have all their little children christened together. So smiler had his done on his own and then the big group all went up together. YD was one of the Godmothers and she managed to drive herself there and take part in the service. She left baby at home with his dad as she had been warned not to take him somewhere with so many people and potential bugs around. Little chap was very impressed that despite me saying it wonāt be like the xmas sevice, they still had sticking and gluing going on and made a prayer clock for sunny and rainy days and even marched up to the front and spoke on the microphone about it. Then after that we went to a olde worlde pub and had a buffet, chats and then the 2 families stayed on for a late dinner together. Got home about 5 tonight. Everyone else has the day off work to recover except me so a bit peeved but will be fine once I get going.
Lis happy birthday for tomorrow 21 again then!!!Have a fab day and hope you had a fab weekend too.
P hope the house is continuing to bloom, decoratingwise. Bev whats the latest with the wedding plans?
Hugs
Lily x
oh lots of news will catch up tomorrow jsut wanted to let you know I was in one piece just lol!!! Off work tomoz so will pop in then, Val good luck with Onc tomorrow xx
