Darling buddies from May - moving on

oh i wish it could be christmas every dayaaaa! so annoying arnt i? got a few more pressies today.(come on girls get into the spirit).
went trade show with hubby today, and then a nice park, and a waterpark after, he kept telling me all about nice fishing spots, like i was really interested? but seriously we had a lovely day weather was lovely. diet gone out window again and i dont like the scales i used today, them ones that check your body mass etc, i am sooo overweight. about 6 pounds heaver than mine at home.
ive got scan tommorow, so i shall go to our local hospice and have a cuppa with the girls, and then i shall nip into hosp, have me jab, and dissapear and drink lots and lots, and then go back for scan.
i dont mind this one as much as the cat scan though.
im so hot, im getting disturbed nights at moment. hope everyones not working too hard. take care x

oh i forgot, easter isnt too far away either. ha ha.

Well no news here apart from sun, yippeee!!! fed up but things its blasted cold which aint that bad considering what we have been through but does bring back momeories of feeling crap and low - but nearly weekend and looking forward to having nothing planned for a change.

p.s. Lorraine - found you!!!

oopps Lorraine missed your post - dont talk Xmas have done nothing yet!!! did see selection boxes in supermarket yesterday!!!

Hi,
Lisa I hope you improve soon. Mine has just stayed a sore throat and fingers crossed is on its way out now. So how is Simon? Have you rung him? Why not? Bet he is in now!Might put a photo on briefly if you get on with it lol. Lorraine glad you had a nice day out with Victor and something cheery before your vein digging and scan tomorrow. Everything crossed for you buddy x. Is it the drink that you hate about the CT scan? I think I just hate scans because then you have to wait for results!
Well I am not looking forward tomorrow because it is that one day every 3 years when you have to swallow your dignity and look like a roast chicken for cervical screening. Then waiting for results again! Victor tried to be supportive, saying well its for the best. He didnā€™t try hard enough so I pointed out that the prostrate test was the only time men might have an inkling what it was like and that he was the right age to be having them. Sharp exit from Victor and a declaration that no-one is doing that to him. They even did it to poor Max, when I left him at the vets! Is everybody obsessed with body cavities these days? I am ok for a meet over October half-term so shall I make a few provisional plans like goggling hotels?
Love
Chicken Lily x

Lorraine good luck for tomorrow! You too Lily, yuk, although does remind me havent had one for a while - albeit it last time she did say ā€œOh i cant find your wombā€ - eh!!! apparrently chemo effects can make it come back abmornal so dont worrry!!!

Im okay ta, just having a downer and sick of wasting time waiting but not brave enough to ring him, i know a wimp, i text which he didnt respond to but then he doesnt do texting - dontwant to look desperate so think I just gonna give it a wide birth now and be a lonely old spinster (well hope I get to the old bit lol). When exactly is half term??? i cant see why im not free that weekend as long as it isnt 10th, im booked up from next week through till then so should be fine - see no time for dating!!! iā€™ll have a little gander at trains from up here xx

Well off to watch dating in the dark - sad or what!!!

Hi all: Lily - re visit to York at half term - pls keep me posted as I may come to join you. Havenā€™t been to York for years - used to do some work with the University there when I worked with P&O Property Division - record for Leamington to York at end of day 2hrs 15mins but then I did drive a 205GTi!!!

Julia

hi everyone

lily 2000

hope you got on ok with smear test, i woke up this morning feeling really yak. i felt very trembly, and sickly. i asked myself if id been worrying about scan, and didnt think i was. it hadnt really been playing on my mind. but i decided to ask my sister to go with me cos of how i felt. maybe it was bothering me in my subconcious.the bit i dont like with the ct scan is when the effect of the dye enters body and makes you feel like your hot, and wetting yourself down below. anyway all done now. just waiting for results.

lisaf

what have you got to lose with fella, just ask away. if answers no, at least you wont be wasting anymore time. and men can be so slow at these things, youll still be in the same position next year perhaps
if left to him, perhaps he likes forward women, at least youd find out. i havnt got the patience to wait.

re meet up, would love to come, will have to think about it, cos i would have to catch a few trains.

take care all x

Just a quick note as I am just off to pack for a week in Devon hooray! and the weather looks as if it may be kind to us.

Lorraine good luck with the results and hope you feel better soon.

Lisa go for it girl what have you got to lose afer what you have been through I wouldnā€™t think anything would make youi nervous.

Lily oh my god what is your work colleague thinking off a dance routine!!! canā€™t you get out of if by saying your feet donā€™t work properly after all it isnā€™t completely untrue I thought it was bad enough I had been asked to read at my nieces wedding. Good luck girl.

Hi Julia, Nicky Peacock hope everyone is o.k. and have a good weekend I will report back in a weeks time.

love to you all Bev x

hi all its wimpy here!!! Im scared of everything me, lol!

Wll, today has been taken up by me gettingmy new mobile, yippeee, trying to figure out how to use it oh and getting new broadband pakage - arrrgggh all before Dublin and Spain - help!!! Wouldntbelieve im techy would you.

Well if I can get a lift to city (1 hour away) only need one train to York, in fact I could drive but would be nice to hve some chilling time on a train!! you do realise how shy I am in person?!?!?

Hope everyone okay and results of tests today and good xx

Hi,
I am mega excited, this meet is all coming together and will be sooo sad if we donā€™t manage it. My plan is for Victor to drive us to York and then he is quite happy to meet or most likely I thought disappear and leave us to it. He is an architect so just stands and drools over buildings - very annoying when I want to rush past the buildings to find the shops :)If he has a camera, buildings and regular food he will be in heaven! Right so a hotel we can sit around and talk (well if Lisa lets us get a word in he he), will get on to that. It would be brilliant if you could come Julia, Lorraine and of course everyone else. Soulgirl are you still happy to meet? Nicky, really hoping you will be able to come. That reminds me havenā€™t watched you on sky for months! Ok can someone say if they have any preference over which days and one night or two? Probably arrive lunchtime, stay over night and leave next day for me - anyone else got any ideas? Could maybe make 2.
Julia how many speeding tickets did you get lol? I do hope you can come, it would be great to meet after all our shared treatment, thoughts and experiences last year. Lisa I left my school diary behind so will look up half-term tomorrow. I think it was the 3rd week of October or around then. I missed dating in the dark, looked for it tonight derhh. Lorraine sorry to hear you felt wobbly and so glad you had your sister to go with you. I always wanted a sister but no luck - 2 brothers! Fingers crossed for a good result. I agree Lisa has nothing to lose, although I laughed about the forward woman part ( no offence meant Lisa) as that is some jump from what she said in her post. Sheā€™s shy!!! Have I told you that I am short? People always say I didnā€™t think you would be that little (height not width ha ha). Victor is very tall!
Well had the ā€˜roast chickenā€™ test tonight and it was fine. She said the hospital contact you direct nowadays if there is a problem. Would you like them to call your mobile, text, email or write? Gulp. Well I donā€™t want to have heart failure every time my phone rings so said letter. She was very kind and made it as easy as possible in the circumstances. I thought of you all laughing when she said I will lock the door as our male physiotherapist is in the room next door. When I turned my head it was a glass door! The curtain went the opposite way to the door so not covered. The things we do!
Ok off now as hopefully tired
Lily x

yippeee, excited now - hope it does come off and Victor more than welcome. Hey im a short arse too!!! but much much wider than taller lol x nite all, see you soon xx

Hello everyone

I havenā€™t been on much this last week, just been busy with work and find that my arm is really giving me problems, so have upped the stretching exercises to hopefully cure it.

I see a few of you are planning a get together in York, how lovely. I am off to the UK myself on 7 Oct for a week, and as well as seeing all the family I really hope for some time out for me, and hope to go to a spa or something of the like and take my sister along.

Hope you all enjoyed your holidays - I expect it seems a bit distant now. The teachers and children are back at school and guess what, this year our daughter has an English teacher actually teaching English - as opposed to a French teacher, teaching English (it doesnā€™t work). She has to work hard for her big exams at the end of the year.

Our water is now connected in the new house, but if I turn the tap on it will spurt everywhere as we have no taps or pipes yet - LOL I am just dying to have a bath in my own bath, after a 19 months of showering, I need a bath!

How is Max doing Lily? I havenā€™t read back too far so hope he is ok?

Nicky how did the trip to Paris go?

Lisa I hope the internet dating is going ok, be careful though, there are a lot of weirdos out there.

Lorraine, I send my bestest wishes for good results for you.

Do any of you who might have had mx find that your arms hurt? Mine is giving me a few problems lately and it is so difficult to make certain movements.

On the subject of Christmas, I intend to do loads of shopping when I am in the UK next month, cards, paper, presents, stocking fillers - everything is so expensive here. First Iā€™ve got to go and buy a new case to carry it all in. I also want to visit Peacocks to get myself some cheap winter clothes.

Well, I think that is just about it from me this week, just want to say hope everyone is well, have a great weekend and will be back on line soon.

P xx

Iā€™ve been picking sloes and have got some sloe gin on the go, next week I will make some sloe vodka. Our sweetcorn has all been picked now, but weā€™ve still got parsnips, swede, carrots and green veg for the winter months. Thankfully my tummy problems seem to be better now so have put it down to tax or herceptin (or both).

oh peacock, sloe gin and vodka - yum!!!

Hope you enjoy your trip to UK and get stocked up for Xmas and your clothes.

In terms of arm, mine really playing up, so fed up with it, its now 26% bigger than other, im wearing sleeve almost every day and doing what told, sleeve now goes to knuckles so very visible, but boy the sleeve comes down a bit as top of arm huge, and aches like mad and painful under arm -if dont wear sleeve its bliss and lovely.

Oh and im not internet dating, wouldnt go near that as I would attrach wierdos it was a friend but nothing happening there.

Well happy weekend all and roll on X Factor tomorrow!!!

Hi,
love it - Peacock going to Peacocks for ner new wardrobe :)I had not realised that there was that much price difference in France or is it just that they do not have the pound store type shops for bargains? Sorry about your arms everyone. Ladies in our area get manual lymph drainage and have said it is very good. Might be worth asking about it. By the way, think carefully what you say when you go in as many spas make you complete a health form and my boss was not allowed anything except eye brow reshape because of her BC. Most ask for a letter from your consultant saying it is ok. Hope we manage to have nice weather for your return. Which part of the country will you be in?
Lisa - this has to happen!Donā€™t know how you put up with the sleeve if it feels worse with it on. Does it actually work or is it stopping the arm from getting worse? Did you try the exercises FB posted way back? When is your Dublin trip? You keep really busy donā€™t you? Iā€™m looking forward to X factor too
Nothing much to report except a very nice Chinese takeaway of egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce and ribs in sauce. Have to confess had apple pie and cornish ice cream after!! What a pig! Little chap came round to show me his cut finger and stayed a while. I bought him Wacky races dvd and he loved it. Did you all watch it? Love Mutley he he he he as he would say
Nighty night
Lily x

Lily, im hungry now - chinese sounds fab spesh with your pudding!!! God help York if we find a nice place for nosh!!! Will have to roll us out. Thanks for tip on MLD, unfortunately we dont get that paid for up here, think Ive found someone who does it 2.5hrs away which is a bit of a trail, sick of it really, the sleeve is supposed to at least maintain it, if not reduce but cos I never worse it much said it was my own fault, however, ive been so good, wearing it 6 days a week and about 13 horus a day and albeit it looks the same sure its bigger, without it bliss but with it it goes up so far but comes down a bit as wont stay underarm as surgery made it wierd, but small price to pay!!!

Dublin week today, sort of airport hotel friday then off sat and sun back monday then sunday spain for a week - soooooo excited, good job i dont have time for dating!!! :frowning: x happy weekend

Hope everyone been having a lovely weekend. Im tad bored and fed up when I should be happy but at least the sun is shining - hpe everyone having a lovely weekend xxx

Hi,
Lisa I know I would be right cheesed off with a sleeve and hope I can escape it. I am still careful about carrying things and cream on any cuts still and never do anything heavy or repetitive. Easier for me as can moan and Victor does it. Not possible when you do everything. Did you enjoy x factor? I was wondering which one you watched, only know it was Glasgow.
Went shopping today and saw these yummy meringues filled with fresh cream and strawberries so I ate yours too  . Little chap is staying and fell asleep really early and on the sofa! It is getting very hard to lift him as he is 3 stone but when asleep feels like a ton of bricks. MD, his Mum has a romance going on (well someone had to!!!nudge nudge) and it is very tricky with a littlun. She has been very careful and for the first few months littlun didnā€™t even know his name. I was checking as thought something was going on and littlun is my best spy lol. He is very nice and it is all in the open now so hoping it goes well for her. Her ex is snorting and causing bother like cancelling having him last minute, so I step in usually.
Sorry not much news today. Just did a ton of washing and stocked up the cupboards for the next week oh and marked a ton of books.
What an exciting life I lead:)
love
Lily x

Hi Lovelies
Sorry Iā€™ve not been on here all week. Several reasons - work, YD back from France (holiday) and a bl**dy awful toothache which has driven me mad. The toothache has been the pits and Iā€™m on really strong anti biotics which are also the ones that you canā€™t drink (alcohol) with. So, despite being incredibly stressed about YDā€™s departure, I canā€™t chill out with a glass of wine in the evening. Plus we had an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday and it would have been lovely to have my last rose wine of the year :frowning: The tooth thing is also stressing me as it will probably have to come out (which I knew) but there can be real complications when taking bisphos. I have a hospital dental appt booked next week so will still have to wait and see what is going to be done. Moan over!
Iā€™ve been busy this week doing a ā€˜reckyā€™ for YDā€™s bits for Paris. The neater and smaller the better but she needs quite a few bits to make her life comfortable, homely and also practical. That will also fit into a Golf! Luckily we remembered we still had a roof box from years ago that was due to be sold on eBay. Otherwise there would have been a problem!
Otherwise have read all your news. Sorry to you if youā€™re feeling ill or down.
Lisa - have a fab weekend away and then the holiday - bliss. Hope arm calms down or can be helped with massage. Get on with it - bloke wise! Or Lily will find a way to set up a date!
Lorraine - hope you are feeling OK and it was just a wobble for your scan. FIngers crossed everything is OK for results - when are they? I should be getting the appointments through soon, so know how you feel!
Peacock - is it a family store? ha ha. France IS expensive! Paris even more so. Weā€™re stocking up on some faves to being over to save YD some money. Toiletries etc seem v expensive and weā€™ll make sure she has some home food bits as well. Sheā€™s very adventurous with food so thatā€™s not a problem, in fact embraces french cooking but loves a bit of Worcester sauce! And Earl Grey Tea! Hope weather continues to be lovely - it must be a great time of the year, and the house gets finished (dare I ask when?)
Lily - hope youā€™ve had a good weekend, with Little un, and that max continues to be bouncy! As to the meet up Iā€™ll love to be kept up to date but I will have to check what YD is doing. She definitely wants to come back towards the end of October but doesnā€™t know which weekend yet. As Iā€™ve said, Iā€™m happy to make my own travel arrangements, and even accommodation, if Iā€™m a last minute booking!
Bev - hope the weather was fab in Devon - seems to have started off that way at least.
Julia - nice to hear from you and hope everything is going well with you.
Iā€™m off now, things to do! Not as sunny today, boo hoo, but OK atm. May not be on here much this week as the BIG DAY is next Sunday when we set off (again!) for Paris. A lot of planning (and spending!) to do between then and now!
Take care all
Nicky xx

hi all, sun is shinging here today fora change and im indoors, my poor washing machine is going to give in if it has much more use, ive fell behind with all my housework so trying to get things done beofre Dublin. still chocco with cold, cough and head full.

Nicky, toothaches sound bad an scary re bishops, im only some form for my bones and dentist was explaining it to me, so its unlikely that I will get my teeth fixed this year.

Oh lily, glad someone having a romance!!! Meringues sound fab, yum yum.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine!!!
