Darling buddies from May - moving on

Good tidings we bring to you and the King, we wish you a merry Christmas & a happy new year

Hope you like the little song, oh I miss hearing Carol’s in English. Have had the Christmas CD playing today. You’ve all been busy wrapping up pressies, I’ve yet to do ours.

Saturday is D Day for the decorations so we’ve got to source a reasonable tree, we like one with roots on and doesn’t drop the needles.

Bev thank you for the link you are a brave lady both for the interview and the trial.

Lily Christmas sounds a busy time for you at school, I remember my brother who used to be a teacher (now is an inspector for schools) he was always ill at Christmas because of all the stress, so, don’t let it get you down. You sound as though you are pretty sorted with it though.

Lorraine, tra la la la la to you too - good on you for having a laugh at Victor’s expense, my won’t he be disappointed on Christmas Day LOL. Keep up the good work.

Nicky you are very organised too with your wrapping.

Lisa how is it going for you glad you had a good weekend with friends, take your mind of what is going on.

Well my Mr P is back now for Christmas, and he has a list as long as your arm of jobs that need “priority” doing in the house, from nailing in floors to putting up tiles and pasting and jointing the wall joints. So busy busy busy, on top of normal Christmas things.

Keep smiling all

PS Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, jingle all the way

Hi festive folks,
I am going George Michael and 'last Christmas I gav you my heart, the very next day, you gave it away. This year, semi frontiers I’ll give it to someone special, special.‘de doo doo, doo doo doo …
Well all my little folk are making crowns as we are Kings for the non-uniform day, which will cater for the girls who want to be covered in glitter and tinsel. Boys not so keen but then they never are. They are just waiting for their sweets from me. I am in London tomorrow, near Buckingham Palace for a course. I did say near  Although you may be surprised to know that I have been inside as a guest many years ago. What a pain to have to be that far into London by 9 am, so up with the lark for me and will snore all the way there. I could go with Victor but he will only catch the 5am train and I am not prepared to get up that early. He will meet me at Liverpool Street direct me to the place and collect me afterwards so we can travel home together. I would probably get lost otherwise as I can’t retain directions these days. I was bad, now I am terrible and don’t recognise streets. £28 for my ticket ouch.
Well I was feeling more calm but now feel the OMG I am not ready for Christmas feeling with you all talking about wrapping. School goes full pelt to the end of term now, so can’t do much until then. How do you all manage it? Peacock sorry to hear your brother is ’ the enemy’!!Not a popular job to have lol. Keep Mr P busy on those jobs. I would love a real tree but thinking of the dog’s feet, the new carpet and the needles.
Lorraine so you did buy the bracelet for me after all
Poor Victor. Mine says he is buying himself something so I don’t need to worry! Hmmmm that usually means something very expensive that I would not get if I went shopping, wonder what it could be? I have asked for another dog but won’t get one :frowning: Lorraine I would rather you were preggers than BC ANY DAY!! Bet it was those blasted silver thongs to blame!! Seriously though big hugs and good luck on Wednesday.
Hi Bev, well I liked your posh voive and if you meet any of us then that is the one we will be expecting ha ha! Typical of boys to say that! I loved the photo album idea.
Nicky I am in awe of you leaving a party going on at your house!! But then you don’t have boys! I can just imagine the bodies, beer cans, loud music, dog escaped through the open front door. We will be going somewhere else for his and my combined birthday bash. Thanks for getting me in a frenzy about the wrapping  Is hubby better now?
Lisa have you been over the new bridge yet or does it not help you? Joe to win:)
Lily and the ivy x x

Festive folk on here eh!!! Xmas song, oh how about mistletoe and wine, I could be under the mistletoe with a handsome man and a glass of wine, what more could a girl want! Think im getting desperate, lol!!!

Sounds like you are all more organised than me, i have bought lots of presents but no idea what I still need to buy, arrrggghh. Determined not to be the same as normal though when im still rushing round on xmas eve at 9pm delivering and wrapping!!!

Well Xmas tree is going up tomorrow night, was due to do tonight but had my niece’s school play, it was lovely she was a sweetie and kept waving to us, in between yawns lol!!! Bless, love the to bits.

Some good news my brother has sold his house and the villa in spain so he’s on a mission for building his new posh house, puts mine to shame but hey ho.

Bridge isnt making any difference to me and im not venturing over it, well maybe, need to take a top back to a shop on that side. its still causing problems for a few of my work mates, living in Maryport they either have to drive 10mins, cross the bridge and walk 20mins or face depending on rush hours up to 2 hours in car to get 20mins away, dire for our poor xmas party as the town where we work is very quiet as people cant get to and from nearby towns for night out!!! Mind got it much easier than others. Was a bit worried today the rain was soooo bad, took me 20mins to get out of a junction at the bottom of my road cos the water was flooding and boy did those buses give my car a good wash, lol!!!

Well night all - only few more days to X Factor weekend - why oh why on Saturday and Sunday, cant do a party on Sunday.

Nite all, well I do wish it could be xmas every day…

ooops meant my brother sold his villa in Florida, think my mind wants to be back in Spain!

hi all, hope everyone is just busy!! im sitting here exhasuted but had fun, tree up and im sitting peering at keyboard cos i have the lights off, little red lamp and lots of candles on and my tree lights, feel as snug as a bug in a rug!!! And had a few wines with mam and dad who helped me, defo in xmas mood now but really stressful at work at mo!!! one week and three days left to go!!!

nite all, hope all okay xxx

Hi everyone
Glad that the Christmas spirit is in you Lisa LOL - where’s the piccy of this fab tree? You always update your photo so much more than the rest of us, I’ll try to do mine when our tree is up but you’ll all have to wait a while as we have ED’s 21st to happen first and YD doesn’t want us to do the tree until she’s back from Paris.
Otherwise keeping busy, a big hooray yesterday when eventually sorted all of both daughter’s Christmas presents, plus nieces and nephews who were just one big order online - thank goodness. Off to work later, ED"s b’day tomorrow and work Christmas lunch for clients on Friday so if I’m not on here much they are the reasons why. I’ve also done similar to Bev had said, 21 little presents to unwrap but they all start with the initial of her 1st name - glad we didn’t call her Yvonne  (no offense all you Yvonnes out there!)
Good Luck today Lorraine with your onc’s appointment, hope nothing worrying shows up and you are able to get yourself comfortable again.
Take care everyone, hope you week has been good and continues to be. Santa Claus is coming to town.
Nicky xx

hi girlies

i really dont want to break the good spirit that everyone as on here at the moment. but feel i need to share with u how i went on. i told onc about tummy and he examined me, and was concerned about it. he checked my previous scan from a few weeks ago, and his worried cos my tummy is full of fluid and theyre are spots of something all over, he thinks it may have come from the breast. so hes refered me to gynocologist, and said i will probably start treatment after christmas, so the tears flowed i can tell you.

but im going to fight it, its just the waiting for appointments again. at least it stops everyone calling me tubs for a while. and sorry lily no baby, i will have to leave it to you.
we havnt got our tree up yet but working on getting one of the men to do it soon.

all i want for christmas is the gyno to say its nothing! la la la

but seriously girls keep the christmas spirit going.
take care x

Oh Lorraine, I’m so sorry and sending you big hugs. I was really worried it might be something like this - I think we all were - and I really do feel for you - it’s something that none of us want to hear. I hope the appointment with the gynae is soon so you are not waiting around trying to find out what’s happening. Is there a reason why a gynae and not someone to check out your abdomen? Not that I know anything. Also have you been given anything at the moment to help with the discomfort? Shed a few more tears if you need to and you know we are here to give support, understanding, sounding off at. Look after yourself and make sure those bloomin’ men do the same
((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))
Nicky xx

Hi ladies

Lorraine, so sorry that you are down, not surprising really but hope you get to see the gynae really quickly. Keep your pecker up girl, maybe it’s something not to worry about perhaps to do with hormonals/menopause? I don’t pray but will say a few words to myself wishing you for less discomfort and some ease soon and for your family to muck in.

Lisa your tree sounds fab, can’t wait to see photos.

Nicky your birthday presents for ED sound a lovely idea, I’ll remember that for a few years time when I need it for our YD.

We bought our tree today ready for the installing and decorating on Saturday.

Take care all Lily & Bev, especially to Lorraine

P xx

thanks for your support buddies.

i think i feel a bit relieved that at least its being looked into. if i hadnt checked i wonder how long it would have been before i heard anything?

i actually spoke to my youngest son about how he feels and he is scared by it, obviously. but ive told him im going to fight it with all my might, and lets just hope its something they can treat. he does share it with his girlfriend so i suppose that helps him. what else can i say to him.?

take care all x

Hi Lorraine

So awful about your news, really sorry ((((hugs)))), find it a bit wierd that if there was something on your scan from a few weeks ago why hadnt they been in touch. Is your tummy really swollen? Really hope its something treatable, thinking of you and come on here and cry or have a blow out xxxxx

Nicky - present idea sounds fab, we do it but dont limit ourselves to names as with it being done for up to 50 year olds it gets to be a challenge. Hope you have a lovely day today.

Hope everyone else okay xxxx

hi lisaf

i wondered why they hadnt been in touch either. my onc didnt seem as on the ball as normal, he was concerned but couldnt even remember what scans hed asked for, i think they shut off cos they have so many to deal with, its a waiting game for hospital now, im so uncomfortable yes tummy is large and hard and is so uncomfortable i cant sleep/sit/lie properly and im so tired doing nothing.

but ive just got to get on with it, and wait and see. hope everyone enjoying christmas preparations so glad i was organised not up to it now.

take care all x behave at your christmas parties?

hi, we only have one onc for the whole of the county which is why we never see them, had assistant that we see but after chemo they sign you off so only see surgeon and nurse but they do check over tummy and neck and stuff - surely results from a scan should be passed on or looked at though - anyhow, hope you get an appointment soon as possible as you need to get rid of fluid and then you might feel at least comfortable which i presume is the worst bit for you.

Sit down and let folks look after you as your head must be reeling xxxx

hi all, hope people arent on cos they are off having fun, just started wrapping presents up at this time of night - wish i hadnt started.

Family problems here but then again nothing fresh?

Lorraine hope you manage to get some sleep tonight and you need to give someone some grief to sort something out to make you more comfie!!

night all xx

Hi Lisaf, I see you are still up. I slept for Scotland last night…went to bed at 8 30pm and awoke by 10am…now tonight I am wide awake…When you have finished wrapping your presents could you start making a list of things for me to buy as I haven’t started yet!.. and haven’t a clue what to buy anyone as everyone seems to have everything…I have no cards bought either so suppose I will be busy next week!.. Sorry you are having family problems. Want to share? If not here send me a PM… I had good news today my CT Scan was okay…relief beyond belief…if you are off to bed…night night sleep tight…if not, how are you doing? Love Val

hiya thanks, family problems aint no big deal in grand scheme of things just get involved in stuff!

Glad you had a good night sleep - wow that’s great hours sleeping, jeleous, I get tired early on then i get busy and then that’s it awake to all hours. Ha, cant sort my own presents out never mind anyone else’s, just got my niece and nephews around me so should finish them but cant believe how much Ive bought! Need to sort rest out so know where I am, im always last minute on Xmas eve running round trying to finish deliveries.

Wow, totally great news about your scan, there’s nothign worse than waiting for results - i drove myself silly early days wanting scans to give me some security, but they dont and in a wierd way get some of reasons as after bone scan i was ill beyound belief waiting, its like something hanging over you, i was shaking waiting for results!! Fab news. no bed here for me, least another hour wrapping pressies (well if i ever put pc down lol!

Lisa

hi lisaf

sorry about family probs, we have plenty of them in our house, so i too can understand if you want to send me a p.message. i find its worse dealing with all that rubbish than bc, if you know what i mean. why cant people be happy? x

oh Lorraine I am so sorry to hear you are having such a worrying and uncomfortable time my thoughts are with you and please rant as much as you like I know I would. I hope they can find a solution to treat the problem and give you physical and mental comfort. Try to keep strong you have done it in the past and you can do it again.

Val really glad to hear your results were good.

Lisa you are making me feel very behind and I have absolutely no excuse as I am sitting on my butt all day so I do have plenty of time to write out cards etc but I just don’t seem to have the motivation. I have however done some on line shopping today (about time) and bought CD’s, books, cosmetics as I am really stuck with the shopping this year only being able to go out if a friend takes me and then I feel I should know exactly what I want (and I don’t)

My poor old cat is coming out in sympathy with me too as he has a very swollen left leg that will require a trip to the vets but o/h is away next week on business thankfully he doesn’t appear to be in pain. (the cat that is)

Lily hope life is going well for you and that you are getting organised for christmas!

Nicky you sound very busy good luck with the birthday pressies and celebrations.

Hello Peacock and anyone else I have missed.

Thinking of you Lorraine take care.

Bev xx

I will endeavour to get my tree up next week (if o/h is able to get it) so hopefully christmas will happen as stome stage.

Hi Bev,
You made me feel more calm about Christmas as I haven’t felt like shopping either. If I knew WHAT to buy for gifts it would be much better but I am really stuck for ideas. I now know how many are coming for Christmas dinner so have got that sorted ( in my mind anyway). My Brother-in-law phoned me last night to ask if my daugher (his niece) would like a Lava lamp for her room (she’s 27)…I said I hadn’t a clue if she would or not but that her room was pretty full ( with clothes) and a fishtank!.. He then said well that’s what I.ve bought her, it’s just for fun!..He is coming for dinner with his partner so will let you know. Love to everyone whether struggling or not.
I am having 6 for dinner today so I am using my laptop time to sit and rest now that all is under control. Love to all, love Val

under control and 6 coming for supper would have been past myself.

Bit of panic today, wisdowm tooth is aching, can this make glands swell, wierd lump under jaw bone but can only feel it at times when i bend head down and show my 10 chins!! its a movable lump and small one otherside so wonder if its all to do with colds, throat and cough which still hovering about, just freak sometimes. Whine over.

Lorraine, hope you get pain under control soon.

Hope everyone okay, its coming up to xmas parites oh dear, when on chemo i could drink for england and be okay, now few and hopeless and necxt Friday works do and set off at 11am, god help me, i have a reputation for getting the tequilla run started, was 2 of us, last year 22!!! ouch, headache coming!!!

Well on a lighter note, who watched x factor, wow, i shed a tear. I liked them all, joe fab singer but i adore Olly, the entertainer is so different from the blasting ballards, and when robbie come on (botching the start or not) they were fab and it was my wedding song so was singing at top of my voice whilst crying … roll on tomorrow.

Well how about trying to get xmas tree photos up, mine isnt very xmasy but will put up tomorrow.

Get me, wrapped some more pressies today, could shock everyone by being organised and not running round at 9pm on xmas eve and then still wrapping on xmas morning, lol

nite all and love and hugs to those in pain xxxxx
