Lisa - I think I gave you a run for your money on Friday night - way too much vino but it was one of our works do’s that. like yours, started early, oh well it’s over and done with now. Surprisingly I felt OK on Saturday morning but very wobbly on Friday evening. Good for getting organised this year - you are putting us all (well, me at least) to shame. I’m not into x factor but I hope the song that was your wedding one only gave you good memories and not too many sad ones. It sounds like your lump is tooth related, especially if your wisdom tooth is playing up. Make sure you see your dentist in time if it’s getting worse, you don’t want to miss out on your turkey do you?
Lorraine - how are you? You sound as if things are really uncomfortable - is there anything you can be given to help or do you have to wait for another appoitment - it’s not relly very fair if you are not being seen immediately. I hope it gets sorted soon and you can enjoy Christmas - keep us posted and have a rant/moan/whine on here - that’s what we’re for (((((((((hugs))))))))

ED had her 21st party yesterday that she organised so OH and I made ourselves scarce for the night. A relief to come back to a tidy and empty house. She had a great time even if she was a bit ill - not surprising as she usually doesn’t drink. Roll on Christmas - I can concentrate on that now. YD back on Thursday which will be nice and a bit more relaxed than her last couple of trips home.

Lisa ouch! that tooth sounds painful you poor thing will you be able to see a dentist soon or do you have to wait weeks for an appointment? Maybe its infected? You are putting me to shame with your organisation for Christmas, I haven’t wrapped anything yet. Out of interest what was your wedding song? I didn’t see XFactor this week.

Well ladies, we have laid the wooden floor down in YD bedroom and our bathroom, the rooms now look so much bigger than before. Tomorrow YD bedroom will be painted and then on Tuesday we will be moving her bed in and setting it up ready. Our son arrives on Friday and I can’t wait to give him a big cuddle. Because we’ve been busy doing the house we haven’t put up our decorations yet, but hopefully weds.
I am aching a lot just under my arm/bust so don’t know if it is still the fractured rib or not. Physio thinks its nerve pain so I’ve started to take the tablets I was given before for nerve pain to see if it helps. I keep thinking its my liver telling me to give up drinking (ha ha).

Well lump seems to be under my double or 4 x chin but moves around and no one else can find it so hoping its just my glands - nearly twine over but is the freezing weather getting to anyone, wow my leg at groin keeps giving way and my knee creaking and they are so cold, soooo bought some glucosomine sulphate - think we can take that??? Thermal shopping i think soon my care is iced over. Twine over.
Anyone watched x factor, i cried again, waht is happening to me, i cry at drop of a hat!! Joe is fab but i did want olly to win as he is so different and a cheeky chappy but sure he will still do well. Now im crying at susan boyle, still got come dine with me to go, surely that wont do same!!
Well, hope everyone doing okay, Lily, hope you are just really busy and having too much fun to come on here! Well early start tomorrow braving traffic as going to office hour a way and might take me a bit long but really hoping no stuck in traffic on way back, feel for those in it, drive me bonkers doing it once mates are stuck getting home for 2 hours rather than 15mins.

macmillan nurse as sorted me an appointment out for tommorow. i am so relieved, but im still so uncomfortable. my onc had evidently faxed the letter to the gynocologist who no longer deals with cancer patients, so that was why there was an hold up.

Don’t be jealous buddies, the snow quickly melted and turned to rain, but overnight the weather is meant to turn to -7 and become icy, so too cold for snow I think. Brrr it has been really chilly though.

Lorraine - good luck and I hope things get sorted so you are comfortable. Can you believe the lack of communication (I was going to use another expression but thought better). Hope you get some good answers.
To everyone else - hope you are all OK. Peacock - snow? Ice? Yuck! A nice blanket of pure white snow is lovely but the icy stuff after is dreadful. Glad the house is coming together bit by bit - you must be looking forward to the family being together over Christmas. Hope the aches ease a bit for you as well.
Lisa - hope your trip wasn’t too bad and the weather isn’t making it worse. Do you have your works ‘do’ soon? Have a great time if you are going out this week. We have another ‘do’ this time bowling, all different teams from each department, then a meal out. This time I will be behaving as probably driving home.

Just to let you know that Lorraine has been kept in hospital.
She is hoping that they will drain her tomorrow.
They think its ovarian cancer and are going to do a biopsy tomorrow. She has swollen lymph glands in the fluid in her tummy.
She says everything is going over her head at the moment as she is so worn out.
Thats about all the news I have at the moment.

Thansk magsi for this and your email, im so so gutted for Lorraine, think that was what she might have been thinking but always hope it isnt. So sad for her and to be stuck in hospital is awful with it all hanging over her head. Hope that it gets drained tomorrow which i know will make her more comfortable and have everything crossed that she has better results than she thinks, im totally shocked.
Please send her my love and hugs and shes in my thoughts all the time xxxx

Thanks for the updates Magsi and Flora. Hopefully Lily gets back on here soon - now THAT will be a long post 
Onto poor Lorraine - how awful - I couldn’t make out from her earlier post about what they had seen on her CT as to why a gynae was going to get involved. Now I realise but hadn’t thought another cancer would show up, I don’t expect Lorraine had either. I really hope she has had some comfort from fluid being drained and that if it is ovarian cancer that treatment can be sorted asap although this will probably mean a hysterectomy - not good at any time of the year. Fingers crossed that she will get some good medical advice from now on - seems to have been missing a bit don’t you think? Flora - can you tell her from me as well that we miss her and really hope she is back soon and feeling much better.
Also - you naughty rascal Lisa (it’s all L’s on here isn’t it?) you didn’t share your good news with us about your arm - fantastic news! See the horrible sleeve is worth it. I saw your other post and really please for you. Plus - where’s the tree? LOL
To everyone else - have a good, but chilly day. Hope you are all OK and not feeling too achey in the cold and damp - I am! Also I just remembered about glucosamine (something Lisa had said) they are OK to take and I definitely notice the difference if I don’t take min. I have the ones with MSM and Chron-whatever in them as all 3 combined are meant to give the best results. Expensive but Boots do them and usually have a 3 for 2 offer which helps.

Well Nicky I didnt share my good news felts a bit crap putting it on but I was a cheery puppy for a few hours until I heard Lorraines’s news.
So, my lmphodema went from 13% bigger to 27% bigger, went yesterday and back down to 14% bigger so my challenge is to reduce it further. Bleasted sleeves do work put has reduced by 2cms both arms due to small amount of weight loss and another 2cms due to sleeve, exercises and they reckon swimming, so what are my xmas pressies for this year…uuummm… a nice new sleeve without the wrist to knuckle section yipppeee… 2nd present, a new falsie, mine is collapsing and making plastic bag rustling noises, hopefully here before xmas and called a massage prothesis which comes in a left and right version - get me!!

hooooooooooooooooray I’m back. I seem to have been sent to Coventry for the past week and just assumed everyone was in the same boat until my local buddies spotted my absence and kindly phoned to check on me. I just got the maintenance sign up. Anyway guess who is to blame?

He signed up to online banking and the bank decided this site was a threat and something about a little green bit on the space where you put the address in being missing. Means nothing to me but kept me from you, Gosh really been missing talking to you. Will be back later as tied up (no not by Victor 
and not by anyone actually).
Lorraine you have been on my mind throughout this that you might need some support if things were not good and I am so sorry not to have been on here and biggest hugs.

Just spoken very briefly to Lorraine as she is tired.
Passed on your messages of love and support.
She remains in hospital and is still waiting to have her tummy area drained as it needs a specialist to do it. Then scans and biopsies. Possible problems with an ovary also with a kidney and enlarged lympth nodes I think in tummy area.

Magsi please pass on to Lorraine my best wishes and to say how gutted I am that it is possibly ovarian C. Fingers crossed that it still might be something simpler than that, I live in hope that they get things wrong for the better sometimes. Lots of hugs.

Lisa what a lot of problems with your sleeve etc. I can sense you might be a bit “down” about your lymphodema and I don’t blame you, my friend here suffers from it and always has a very large arm which is painful. Your falsie sounds interesting,and I have visions of it slipping out whilst in the middle of M & S or the Post Office … how embarrassing would that be. Hope your replacement arrives soon so that doesn’t happen.
Well, we plod on here for the arrival of our son on Friday but, weather is meant to be colder and snow is forecast here, as well as Southampton where he is flying from, so lets hope he gets here ok with no cancellations. It’s been freezing today -2 all day, and -6 forecast for overnight.
Have finished YD bedroom now, so about to start fitting the kitchen together. So much work and so little time to do it in, never mind, my consolation thought is that I am HERE to be doing it, last year I wasn’t so sure about that.

thanks for the update on Lorraine Magsi and please keep us informed, if you don’t mind. Lorraine -I hope they get this specialist in quick to help relieve the pressure. I don’t like the sound of all these other things but likewise will be hoping that they actually can be relatively positive and focus on what they can do to get you back on your food again. Woops I meant feet Thinking of you matey and I know this won’t be easy to take on board. Hope your youngest is ok and get well to get home for Christmas and lots of snow maybe.

Lisa really pleased your lymph is going down, well done. I think I might like a massage prothesis if it does that ha ha. You can give up blokes and take your flexible friend along Nicky - very amusing you lot about my loooooooong posts and I am trying not to have verbal diarrhoea!! I don’t take any supplements but wondering whether to try them as you lot are. Tell me more.
Bev how is your ankle? Julia have you requested something suitably lovely for Christmas? I mentioned something from Tiffanys and was told he had already sorted Christmas. I do hope it is not practical :). He spent the whole day trying to work out why I couldn’t get on here. It was the bank to blame as they have security over any password used. Thats to keep my millions safe lol
