lovely to see some of you this evening and I will one day forgive you for leaving early so I did not have a pudding. How could you??? Flora, new ferret was fab and hope you weren’t late for your next appointment. Daisy sorry you were not up to coming and get actiform cool dressings for it from your GP - they are unbelievably good. Julie hope you will start to feel more chirpy as I said it is a wobbly time when the appointments start to tail off. I think we feel safe when being seen regularly but it is a good sign if they don’t want to see you so often. It gets easier promise. Helen hope you and your daughter have a nice time at the mystery!
Sharon2 well done, the plans all sound very exciting. Tracey I am worriied about you buddy, are you ok? I know next week is going to be horrible and will be thinking of you x. Sorry about last night, my nipple and I were not up to it. Strangely my breast isn’t hot, just feels odd and looks like it has spent 3 months in the Sahara sunning itself.
Well, thats me done treatment wise. See Nev at Broomfield in a month, then nothing until Feb. I do have my DEXA scan this Friday but that’s nowt to worry about. Zoladex implant tomorrow, then I have been given the thumbs up to go on the 3 month dosage.
Hope everyone is well, I am now concentrating on getting my strength back and my breast looking fine and dandy again.

Daisy/Sharon… sorry you have had sore boob. mine looked like been on holiday on own too, and had sore underneath , got hydrocorinsone cream from doctors suggested by Rads dept! Hope its ok now,Have you seen your consultant yet , I see mine on 13th Oct. Prof D in 4 weeks but no app yet! and having dexta scan on 8th Oct, By the way when went with girls for meal some said Prof D normally likes you to have blood test beforeseeing him , so I rang Rads dept and he was ther and nurse asked him and rang me back and said yes he wants me to have a blood test before and they will send me form before app! so thought you may need to check that too,

Howdy - all ok with me. My breast is still raw, but starting to heal. Nurse checked it yesterday when I had my Zoladex implant and said it was ok.
Has my DEXA scan today, I have a crooked spine at the bottom, no panic though, but have a feeling I will be popping calcium tablets real soon.
Not got my appt yet to see Nev, but will ring about the blood test, cheers Julie.

Julie I was sorry to hear you had cried after I left you and hope I did not trigger it by saying something. I was trying to sympathise as it is tough when treatment stops and you feel abandoned for a while. I think it would be even harder without a tablet each day for me. Hope you enjoy your days away and that things pick up for you x.
Daisy glad to hear that the fiery furnace is starting to go out. I used to expect to see smoke coming out my jumper as so hot. Can I ask why you are having the dexa scan as I have not had one mentioned let alone had one. I’m not jealous just like to know these things 
You always have to have full blood tests and profiles before seeing the prof. My next appointment is early October too at London road. At least I get off work this time as I have had 3 in holidays! I am not doing very well with tickets and will have to think who to ask as it is also a family birthday close to that weekend. Tracey thanks for replying to my text so promptly - 2 weeks after I sent it ha ha !! Nice to talk to you anyway. Please send my best wishes to O for next week and thinking of you all x.

Lily - the DEXA scan is to check my bone density as I am being forced into a menopause at such a young age HA HA… so Nev can keep tabs on my bones.
My breasticle is calming down a bit, looks horrific though.
I still need four more tickets for the Pink Party, can anyone oblige?

Hi everyone, I am getting nervous now!!!. Daisy if we meet up next week 28th you can have your extra tickets then. I will need to know a definitive number by this Friday in order to let the caterer know. Am emailing the DJ later about pink lights.

Sharon good luck for the bone scan, they are usually really good getting veins in that dept and it is a very tiny needle so hope not stressful. I see my surgeon early Oct and for once it is not in the holidays Had a chat to Helen tonight. Tracey everything crossed and thinking about you X. Sharon2 you are at the hospital the same day as Julie for a scan, did you realise? Daisy hope the fire extinguishers are on full blast now to cool it all down.

Sharon2 - good luck for your scan on Thursday. Hope you are not worrying too much about the pink party - it’ll be alright on the night as they say. With regards to the party, I agreed with the lady at HR that I’d email her a list of all the companies that have supplied us with raffle prizes or donations, could you let me have that asap please. I said I’d email her by 28 Oct in time for her to do a ‘thank you board’ for us.
Lily - thanks for the chat, it was good to know that I am not alone and struggling to get back into the swing of coping with work & everyday stuff.

Me again - have just spoken to Sharon. If anyone has been given anything for the raffle could they let me know as I have to let the lady at HR know for our board.
Also we mentioned the pink wine box, so if anyone has a bottle of wine indoors that they want to donate, bring it along. I’m happy to cover a wine box in pink paper and have a bottle to start it off with.

not Tuesday for me but Wed and Thurs are ok. I can get cash out to give you. I have not sold all my tickets as it has clashed with 2 of my girls being offered work they can’t afford to turn down. Hope the other 2 will be there. Raffle prizes from Manor Farm. Had a no from M & S who say they don’t help anyone - meanies. Hairdresser has not come back yet so worried she may have sent into HR.
Sharon2 good vein hunting tomorrow and fingers crossed all looks well on the scan. Helen no problem we all have days like that. I am eeek because people are saying nolvadex-d is being discontinued so will have to change tablets and will worry about that. Fed up of decorating with no seats, no lights or tv to watch in the lounge.
Daisy hope boob much better now and Julie after your rads too. Tracey thanks for keeping me up to date and hoping for the worst (for a change:)

HI everyone, am in between bits of scan so thought I would get on here! The nurse could not find a vein, wot a surprise but eventually found a tiny one up by my index finger - hurt like hell!! Have to go back at 3.30. Am popping to see Sheila to give her her tickets afterwards.
Have got more tickets if needed, collected something from Miss Selfridge abut nothing from Moss Bros I’s afraid Val. I have been in touch with my companies and need to phone back on Monday so may have to hand write company names.
I have ordered pink tableclothes.
I cannot make Thursday so we need to make a decision no good on my own. Is Wed a good night??

Sharon I couldn’t understand what you meant about Miss Selfridge as I went in to see the manageress and then wrote to Head Office on her advice, did you do it as well? Sorry the veins were not co-operating. Bone scans are usually easy as so tiny needles, oh poor you.
