Yes to the emu look. Except I think emu’s have quite pretty long eyelashes, which I certainly do not - I look insane with my friar tuck hairdo, no eyebrows or eyelashes. It’s an interesting process though and really not bad during the hot weather

Congrats on getting to the end of chemo. I was given all the info on my next steps and endocrine therapy the week after I’d finished chemo and found it all pretty depressing tbh. However, I’m just going to concentrate on enjoying a few weeks of feeling ok again before I start on the next stage. I’ve got my appetite back, and I’ve put on weight just around my middle - which I’m not too pleased about.

I know the feeling,
I’ve had a pretty keen appetite throughout (blaming the steroids for the love of carbs!) and am already a stone heavier but all around belly & face 
It is so strange how your hair grows back isn’t it
. Weirdly I still have my eyelashes and eyebrows assuming they may not disappear now at this stage??
So did I @daisyd - I think I kept eating to try and get rid of the nausea and awful mouth taste. So frustrating as before my diagnosis I had worked so hard to lose over a stone in weight and had felt the best I had in years. But can now focus on that as long as whatever I am given after pathology results doesn’t make it to difficult! It’s been so lovely for the past w weeks not having to take anything, apart from the surgery starting to feel like my old self again.

I’m just popping over from the March Chemo group, I finished my last chemo 2 weeks ago 
the last few days my eyes have been really sensitive and watery, I thinkthere is some very tiny thin lashes coming back throughbut the rest of my lashes are pretty much gone… Is there anybody that had this that found anything to help? At the min I’m just living in sunglasses outside!
Also… How quick do your lashes grow back? Can I do anything to help them?
@demimiray my hair is growing back like that 
I find out my hormone tablet 20th July as currently completing radiation.

Think Im having the same thing. The top of my head just doesnt want to grow. I am 5 weeks this Wednesday out of chemo. Rosemary oil made be head bright red
Today was session 5 of 15 radiation.

@katie91 my eyelashes and brows fell out after chemo ended. They grew back really quickly - I’d say 3 weeks and there was noticeable growth. I’m 7 weeks post chemo (I think!) and I’ve got a fine set of bushy brows (totally different colour to my head hair 
) and eyelashes are probably about 60% of previous length but still growing. You’ll get there

@moonandstars1 i kept mine for two weeks after chemo ended then they just fell out almost overnight. So don’t be surprised if it happens to you too! But they then grew back really fast.

I think they gave you tamoxifen as you’re not post menopausal yet. You’ll probably move onto an AI shortly - if you decide to take them. AIs are bad for bones - they block all your remaining oestrogen which most likely will make your osteopenia worse. Which is why they usually give bisphosphonates to protect bones.

Wow @sammy75 - you have 80% more hair than I have and I had my last chemo 5 weeks ago too. Maybe itd not hokbg to grow back, I will be in that small percentage where ot doesn’t. I have used rosemary oil since then every day, now

I did try rosemary oil for a couole of days but didnt agree with me. Im just hoping the top of my head decides yo kick in soon.
5 weeks out of chemo, how are you feeling? Most people on here know I just had the worst time ever but slowly managing to do little things xx

Chemo was tough for me, the final 3 especially. Starting to feel so much better now, just getting over surgery and then radiotherapy etc. Good to hear you are way better now

I’ve been trying to keep a bit active but hopefully moving on now, the weight & inflammation reduces. I’m ready to get back to more exercise once I’ve recovered as had my 6 month post surgery check last week and all Ok thankfully

Hi @daisyd thats great news all went well at your 6 month check and brilliant to be able to get back to normal. I had surgery on Thursday feeling quite a bit worse today, especially in my armpit.
