Snap I look like my brother!! dont know if thats a good thing! I dont have alot of hair looks like a babys head! Keep getting told my eyes look really blue! Going out in hats as wig not ready! Happy with head shape I was dreading what it would be shaped like.

Sort of got used to the looks on the playground at school now, bought a wig yesterday and many mums did a double take this morning upon catching sight of me in my JenniferAniston lookalike wig, which is surprisingly comfy to wear, after I said I would never get one! the kids think it’s dressing up! Realising every day how complex this bc business is and how many challenges, physical and psychological there are to face! Hope everyone is ok! Tinax

Hi everyone haven’t posted for a couple of day.
Well first week back at work is nearly over. I have found it more difficult than I thought I would and have been really tierd -in fact I overdid it on weds and spent most of yesterday in bed asleep. I have terrible bone aches and also a bad case of the runs, which is strange as I usually suffer from constipation and have been taking senacote and syrup of fig and now have the runs…
I did decide that I would do just one week at work then have next week off (am going down to the coast for a few days) I think that was wise as although I am ‘taking it easy’ as such, working has taken its toll on me and I am not sure if I could have done another full week next week anyhow. I must keep reminding myself I am not Superwoman!
Hope everyone else is fine and that those who have treatement tomorrow hope it goes well… I will be so glad when all this is over…(if it ever is that is).
chemo itself was alright yesterday, easier without the cold cap and vein located first time. Really really sick last night, worse than first time, feel yukky sick nauseous today, could drink water easily last time but this time the thought makes me heave. Consultant changed my injections to just one of neulasta, which nurse has just come to give me, which means i don’t haveto have 5 anymore, hurray! Was because i was neutrophenic and this injection is longer lasting, hope it works.

My treatment starts on 3rd June, 6 FEC then 4 week break then rads. B/c rads needed on both sides they are doing each side seperately so it’s gonna go on forever :-(( prob be end of year before my treatment ends ho hum (pigs bum!!)sorry!!

Hi Vickie, hair very patchy now about 20-25 percent left, will try cc again next Thursday, sorry you feel so rotten, I felt like that after fec 2. had the neulasta as well which can make you nauseous, too. It also made my muscles and bones ache! Got a wig now, very Jennifer Aniston, no one recognises me, usually dark brown shoulder long bob! My regime has just been changed due toy allergic reaction and I will have 4x taxotere and cyclophosphamide with two days of steroids and antihistamines before and after chemo, plus the neulasta after. My liver will be fried! Bit apprehensive about the tax after reading the posts here! Hope everyone gets the chance to have a restful weekend! Hugs, Tinaxx

Felt horrid all day, think worse as so warm and close, very sicky and muggy head, not ill ill as in pain, just blurgh blurgh. Had enough but scared to go to bed too early in case i end up waking in the night for ages. Am gonna ask for different anti sickness drugs next time, this is so yuk.
Glad your appt went well suze, yes all them hours in that waiting room and then you get called in just as we have started chatting!
Tina, have also bought different wig, well a half wig for under my caps, its a strawberry blonde one when i am usually brown too.

Hi just wanted to say sorry you are feling so rough. Ask about Emend before your next cycle, it has been amazing for me. I had my 4th FEc on Wed and have felt sick once and not that bad. I had nausea on the 3rd for 11days, was horrible. I haven’t disapeared into a chemo hole this time either. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Tors, have you asked for Emend? It seems to work for most to cut down on the sickness! Tina
do you think its too late this cycle for emend if i ask my gp for it tmrw? I had chemo on thursday and still feel sicky yukky.
Have been prescribed emend with the instructions to take one before coming in (thursday) and then one every day for two days. Will let you know if this works! Also have Zoffran, Domperidone, Metraclopramide and the dex. Take it regularly even if I don’t feel sick, and first one in the morning before getting up. Still really queasy first two cycles.
i had dex, and ondanestron ( think thats the name but cannot be othered to get up and check the box) but they finished yesterday so now just on the on the metracloppramide, god i really hope the emend works for you next time cos if you feel like this then you have felt super shite too!
