How's everyone doing.?

Hahaha - you sleep away Strudel.

Have a lovely day tomorrow my lovely ladies. Thank you for all your wishes, I shall take them with me.

Talk to you all when I wake up -nighty night.

Thinking of silver today … hugs, hugs and more hugs - we are all with you xxx

Fingers crossed for you Emily today xx
Tough pants on!!!

Silver lady … I hope all goes well for you today.

I’m sorry I’ve not been on here but at the moment I’m finding the whole thing too upsetting.

Marianne xx

So pleased for you Em - you can move forward now feeling much more positive.

I was just thinking about silver too. I need to get motivated and get out in the fresh air, but my breast is so sore - it’s not the wound although have a strange little lump at the end with what looks suspiciously like a bit of stitch poking out, but my whole breast feel sore and it even hurts where my clothes touch it.  Unfortunately my BCN doesn’t work on a Wednesday so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow.  Chatting to a friend yesterday and we were coming up with ways to stop my clothes rubbing and the best suggestion was a pudding basin inside my bra!  You do have to keep your sense of humour!

glad you’re feeling better strudel, and that your keeping busy Em - just think in 48 hours it will be out!  My tumour was about 10mm from the scan, but no idea how much was taken out - must still be swollen as at the moment it’s bigger than the other one!!

Hi lovely ladies - just wanted to let you know I’m ok. No pain as had lots of meds. Has to wait till 4.30pm yesterday for op. So very drowsy today, keep falling asleep. I’m exhausted- I’ll probably have to have a nap after this text. I’ve got to stay in tonight as well, I think because I’m so drowsy & -also I had an experimental tissue glue instead of a drain, just to make sure it’s working. It’s being use in Germany & is fully licensed but not on the NHS here yet. Fingers crossed it works.
I haven’t read your texts so I hope you all alright- good luck tomorrow Emily & I’ll catch up with you all later when I’m not so sleepy.
All my hugs & love Susan

Strudel has anyone had a look at your arm pit swelling ?They may be able to drain the fluid and make you more comfortable .I had same and was stretching wound(very uncomfortable ) ,surgeon drained loads off and made me a lot more comfortable ,BC nurse may be able to do also I think .

Yes ,why suffer till Monday if they can do something to relieve it .I could have kissed the surgeon when he drained it felt so good !Then he showed me what he had drained and I felt faint (don’t look!!).

Awww Susan, so happy to hear from you and know you are ok … you have as many naps as you like or need … look forward to speaking to you soon xxx

Emily - I will be thinking of you tomorrow (big hugs) … you will do great … how’s your man?

Strudel - hope you get sorted xx

Emily - how’s your nan??? Lol, not your man!! x

Ooooh Emma, I have had exactly the same fears as you … I was diagnosed with lobular on the 28th October, ultrasound showed no lymph nodes affected, went back the following week to check “pits” (lol) again as had biopsy done at 1st appt - still showing lymph nodes as clear … that was on the 4th November … they haven’t been checked since and my op (mastectomy is next Thursday the 22nd so I have had a long wait too … I haven’t been given any anti hormone treatment so not a clue!!! It drives me round the bend too … my lump also feels much more prominent and my boob also feels achey and tender … I just feel as though I should have seen somebody in the last few weeks but I haven’t apart from going to sign the consent form and to let the consultant know that I wasn’t having immediate reconstruction … I just keep thinking that I’m going to have a totally different diagnosis after the operation when I go for results … jeepers, the thoughts and fears we have. xx

Emily - hope your nan is ok after her operation xx

Sending hugs Emma - I’ve learnt through being on here that it’s ok not to be ‘OK’ at times.  When people describe it as a roller coaster it’s exactly that, you just seem to get sorted and then something changes or something else shows up.  We’re all here to support each other through the highs and lows - just read back through some of our earlier conversations - I find that helps as it reminds me that we’re not all in a dark place all of the time.

Emily - will be thinking of you tomorrow - I found the wait went quite quickly as there was so much going on - my times were similar to yours, and also had to go to two places.  I did sit in the car for about 45 mins while my oh went to sit in Costa as he needed the wifi to send some work emails and I decided it would be pure torture to smell coffee whilst not being able to eat or drink.

love Jane

Good luck Emily - I hope everything goes well today. I’m looking forward to seeing your post when you’ve had it done.

I woke up thinking about you & will be thinking about you all day.

I’m going home today - so looking forward to that.

Speak to you soon.

Big bear hugs Em - I wish I could have been here for you yesterday. Your posts will never be moany - don’t you dare ever apologise.

I was lucky that they got me in so quick, initially they said I would be in over Christmas. My lump was already 3.7cms & was starting to hurt when I lent on it - my mind just kept thinking that it was growing & that was why it ached.
How are you today?

Strudel - I was told that if I get water build up in my breast or under my arm & it was uncomfortable, I am to let them know & they will drain it.
I know what you’re going through with the vascular invasion - the fear is horrible. I can still remember it & you & the other ladies got me through it.
Sending all my love & hugs to you.
