CM that sounds a fantastic idea, although not tidying and ironig required…just to meet you and Twinky will be all i need and a few tossed pancakes too :o) I expect a laugh or two if your sense of humour is anything like what you both write…
Tuesday is perfect as I have nothing planned at all, maybe some others can make it, if they are near enough, all will be welcome :o)
I don’t feel I have given much but its been a privilage to post on here and to find such a wonderful group of ladies who just let me ramble on, I still find it a little overwhelming but if it helps anyone to focus on where their journeys going to and how and what you could be doing to make life easier for you and your loved ones. It certainly does make you focus but it has been so much easier having you all here in cyberland behind me and as a support anyone would be grateful for.
Off to try and get some sleep, I did get woken by my little boy coming in, so I thought I would look on here in the hope I will sleep right through after 5 o’clock…

Oooh pancakes at Clares…gives me something to look forward to as hubby will be gone all week ( he usually comes back on a Thursday night but this week he’s making up some time after being up here two days last week). Can’t wait to meet the lady herself too & ChoccieMuffin!
Back to sleep for a bit after saying goodbye to hubby…provided the bunnies keep quiet! Nos 2&3 just scampered up the stairs & are now under the bed!
Ah well, at least if CM messes up the pancake tossing, Twinky can iron them flat again.
Sounds like a lovely idea, and knowing how much CM can talk it’ll be a riot! I feel a repeat of the 15-mostly-bald-ladies-hit-Reading incident from last year…
I’ll be thinking of you all while I toss pancakes with my lads and OH. Now I just need to make sure I’ve got a shed load of Nutella for them. I’m a lemon and sugar girl myself but I’m afraid the younger generation just don’t appreciate the finer things in life.
I’ve just seen the weather forecast and it’s supposed to be getting a lot warmer through the week. Might have some daffs open by the weekend!

So glad you are feeling a bit better Clare and hoping it really is the cold doing its worst rather than the actual end approaching too quickly. You really are a breath of fresh air with your comments :-). Looks like you have lots to look forward especially tomorrow when the flipping ladies arrive, pancake-wise that is LOL I agree with everyone else that Choccie shouldn’t say such shocking things like she will do the ironing, I think she could have knocked us all down with a feather, and that would be no good for you Clare if you couldnt get up again. At least she will be there to pick you up tomorrow if anything else happens.
Hope your day is good and you got up to see Aisling off to school, I expect it’s something that’s important to both of you. Have a snooze today, sounds like you will need to be on top from to welcome the advance party tomorrow

What a lovely idea that a few of you are able to gather in real life and share some pancakes and a few laughs together. It seems to me a perfect day for such a gathering too. Alas Glasgow to Oxfordshire is just impossible, and I can’t make pancakes for toffee, so would be no use whatsoever. So I will think of you and, as I make my preparations for Lent, will toast you all.
Cackles - a glamour model, wow (was that on the other thread? My brain is still not so clever these days and I thread-flit quite a bit). How fab is that. Hope you have a truly lovely day and they pamper you properly.
Clare, so glad you feel the cold is on its way out but that you are not. It must be horrid wondering and waiting, yet you do so with such grace and poise (as seen from here anyway!).

Oh why did I say I would go to London…I love pancakes and it would have been fantastic to see the inspirational Clare, CM and Twinkle. I am just waiting for a work collegues and her husband to arrive. She too had Breast Cancer fourteen years ago and she had four lymph nodes involved. All through the chemo I thought of her.
I am being lazy and taking them to our local pub for lunch. My husband is coming home from work so he can pay!!!

I’m just trying to sort out my echocardiogram appt & getting a portacath fitted ready for chemo next Monday. Hospital just rang back…off to x ray tonight for the heart check ( lol can feel it beating more since my MX…made my jump the first time I touched the area).
So ChoccieMuffin & Clare…what time shall we rendezvous ? What should I bring in terms of ingredients?

I have lots of plain flour, so no need for that and all the basics for pancakes too, I can nip out as I have no lemons at all, have sugar though.
Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow! I had had a thought that I might be able to sneak off work and drive over but my job share called me this morning to tell me I have to go to a meeting tomorrow afternoon Nothing as glamorous as modelling for me!
I’ve got to pop out tomorrow morning anyway to get the ingredients for the chocolate sauce so I shall pick up some lemons then! I’ll be with you by 12… Just in time to have a big lunchtime pancake feast!
