I pretty much didn’t sleep for a week after my first round and I’m hearing it’s probably from the steroids. I ended up getting some sleeping tablets from the doctor but I’m still not sleeping well without them and I’ve only got 1 more. I’m going to discuss with the onc on Thursday about it as, for me, it was the worst se - good luck.
Thanks Aliand, I’m 40 so will take a look at that network you mentioned. I’ve got my Look Good Feel Better session tomorrow, even tho (so far) I’ve not lost any hair I want to be prepared (it’s mainly my eyebrows I’m worried about, lol).

Starfire, mishy18 is an angel, she’ll be able to advise you in abraxane, keep ???and keep ???Also speak to your team with any concerns, they are the experts and have seen it all before and will be able to answer all your questions. Get yourself some treats too, I went on a right online bender after my reaction to the t, made me feel better when it all started arriving, something to look forward to if that makes sense. ??

Love the idea of going on a bender Shi! That sounds like a right good plan for each and every one of us! Isn’t it strange that so many of us are falling under the age 45 bracket and they claim breast cancer only effects 20% of women under the age of 50 ?. I also just scrape into the category by the skin of my teeth! I’m booked onto the look good feel better course on the 21st February so I’m looking forward to picking up some tips from that! Hey all. Round 2 done - all good x only slight set back was back having a shower when I got home and having a whole clump of hair fall out… doh! Still persisted with the cold cap today… yay me ?

Found another a shampoo called water and hair shampoo. If you email them telling them you’ve lost your hair through chemo and now it’s starting to grow back they send the first one for free.

I’m feeling so much better, almost normal I’m fact I’m day 13 so today I’ve bought a cupboard for the hallway for all the kitchen crap, a vegetarian cookbook, eyelash grower gel, red soap dispencer, kitchen cupboard pull out drawers, new kitchen knives, 2 blouses a back of door kitchen bin, 2 Pyrex dishes with lids for batch cooking and liquid eyeliner to practice for when the eyelashes fall out.
Abi is that classed as a spending spree ??

My friend came round tonight with a mahoosive choc cake about 6 inches high covered in choc and choc dipped strawberries , I think I may try a slither tomorrow x I live on my own but one of my girls came right round for a slice !

Aliand that’s a proper bender ???round of applause for that ???45 at diagnosis and 46 now and we have lots on Oct thread under 50, so why are the nhs not starting screening earlier? And isn’t 60 the new 30 anyway, so anything under 60 we are all teenagers ???starffire has mishy18 let you know about the abraxane yet lovely? I know she’s been a bit busy. ???shi xx

Shocked, big hug darling, I too always had rapunzel locks. I did bob it before chemo and sent hair to little princess trust wig for kids, I was determined to make a positive out of loosing my hair. I did cry ? then after 1st fec went to a grade 1, again had a ? but then got my gold hot pants on and reminded myself I was still me, looked different but still me and very happy to be alive. Have a ? and embrace the ?amazing lady you are is everyone on this journey, keep ?and keep ???Keep focused on the ???and you’ll be ringing it before you know it ??shi xx

Thankfully my prescription exemption card came through today. Does everyone know about that?
Aaaand, my hair has started coming out, hmmm. I was meant to go to a Look Good Feel Better session today but it was cancelled, bad timing.
Onc appt. on Thursday ahead of round 2 next week, hope they sort out whatever it is that’s been keeping me awake?!

Amy I slept great when I was on the steroids , yesterday first day off them and I was awake till 2 am !! I’m just writing it all down and will check next cycle x
I was given my free prescription card on the day of diagnosis , however to get an appt at our docs is highly unlikely so I’ve just bought anything I’ve needed , only thing I have got was difflam and I got that when I went for my flu jab x obv it will be used for the next 5-10 yrs now for the tabs , I can not believe how much I have spent on things , heating is in permanent too , only earner in my house and I’m off work Till end of treatment due to my job and infection , so savings are taking a blummin big battering x will be on loads overtime second half of year I hope ! Xx

Jamesy, that’s no good having to worry about finances on top of everything else you’re going through. Have you contacted Macmillan? I think they can offer assistance in some cases.
