Bonjour - Je suis ici a la 5km!!!
Hooray. I did the 2 km this am without a break. This is excellent for me.
Thanks Lily for arranging this all. A great incentive to get going.
I am now going to sit quietly for an hour until the pizzafest.
Ham and pineapple for me please and a lager would be very nice.
xxxx
Tres bien.
I failed the pizza challenge and will have to ride on the train this week. Hoping to be better next week on rads.
Happy exercising everyone. Hope you are ok. If your week went caput like mine, there is always the next one!!

Anyone notice my absence?I have been in St Davids for a week with no pc,Lots of walking but lots of food too.I truly dont think I’ll lose weight brfore Christmas:(
love Horacexxx
Hi,
yes Horace I did post, are you ok when you went awol. Very glad it was that sort of visit and not medical. Yes we will lose some weight even if we put it on again. Hope you had a lovely time and walking was good!
I failed my challenge this week but will blame it on the op!!
This week we were all given a train ride and just have the final 6km cycle/walk/run to reach France.
So bon voyage and see you in France next Sunday. Christmas shopping counts too as exercise if not done on the internet!! Croissants and coffee waiting at the border for anyone who manages at least one 1/2 km speed run/cycle.

Hello Horace, I’ve joined the band too… St David’s sounds lovely, shall have to quiz you on local Welsh jokes to spin off my partner (3/8ths Welsh) Lily … I’m sure as soon as we’ve found a beauty spot, we can wait for you there cos we can do circular beauty tours (on bikes in the beauty spots and in the therapy spas getting our eyebrows done?) which will give you a chance to catch up with us… I may have to deal with a slow puncture. I’ve been lying in bed half asleep having all those life transforming good ideas which of course I will have forgotten by the time I get up cos couldn’t find the flippin notepad on bedside table cluttered with guides to French beauty spots and cycle manuals… Anyway, off to do the puncture, but meanwhile to bike up a couple of kms. Have jusr realised there are two nice garden centres/nurseries on a v straight cycle training road so have no excuse not to build up some kms and do xmas shopping at same time.
Did you say one 1/2 km cycle Lily? You’re on… tho can mine be a pain chocolat? Wait for us if we’re still on a beauty zit circular cycle ride, won’t you?
Take care recuperating Caro x
Lymphoedema clinic today and therapist recommended a trampoline!!!
Horace!!! You can’t be serious… a trampoline… tell us more, how does that work with the lympho?
I cannot think of you and I on trampolines, “The Toby Jug Trampoline Twins!!!”
Ha Ha ha!!!
St Davids is lovely, I haven’t been for some years, but yes we did miss you.
Hi
Still doing my 1 km + a bit of Chrimbo shopping, etc each day. Heading north to meet you all…
Horace, bouncing on a trampoline is supposed to stimulate the entire lymphatic system - I have a mini one, still in its box, I’m ashamed to say. And likely to remain so until the New Year, as the Xmas treee will be taking up the space I need to use it! Heigh-ho (or should it be sleigh-ho?)…

Hi,
well bouncers, feel free to bounce along the route if you wish.LOL. I don’t know why but it is really making me chuckle, thinking about ladies bouncing up and down all over the country/Europe. I managed 2km of cycling today and I am definitely managing a bit further before getting exhausted and having to lie on the sofa to recover!! Not all in one go but trying to build up gradually. Am I allowed to swim while on rads? This fat fish goes to the depp fat fryer starting tomorrow for the next 3 weeks. I may be the only one cycling who gets a tan!!! Bahons can you tell me a major city you are travelling from so we head the right side of France. We have the choice of the coast or the big places down the central route from Calais?
Lily x x
Thanks Bahons . I have a rebounder in the bedroom but I think I may need the floor reinforcing before I get going on it. ( chemo left me with a couple of extra stones)
How do we measure mileage if we choose to bounce Lily?
I have done 3 kms of cycling so I am halfway to the croissants
Kx
Hey my Toby jug partner I will get a rebounder,I live in a bungalow so unless I go downunder should be ok.have a cough/cold and stodged indoors all day.I did look at the minibike suggestively but we didnt get together!
You have all inspired me to break out my WiiFit and get exercising a little every day (plus probably the yoga) lots of fun games to do, also probably start back on the boxing so I can imagine my opponent is the disease and knock seven bells out of it!! Chemo second time around, so I know my limits much better now
Can’t see me on a trampoline somehow though, have wooden floors and I fear they could not take the impacts!!
Keep on running / cycling / enjoying everyone!
Nikki
Hi,
you make me laugh so much, thanks. I am not chancing bouncing unless in a room with a concrete floor!!. Could you count 60 bounces and time it, then you can just time how long from then onwards. Fast bouncers get 100 bounces!!! Don’t knock yourself out with whatever lady parts you still have that move vigorously!!! I have to hold mine while cycling even!!
Walked for 1km after my first rads today round the shops. Almost finished the pressies.

Lily et al
I am heading for Toulouse at the moment - hope to meet up with Peacock on the way.
As this is gentle exercise, suggest a day walking round the Cite de l’Europe Shopping Centre (nothing like a bit of retail therapy!) then heading for Boulogne for a lovely evening meal in one the restaurants. How does that sound?

C’est Bon, C’est Bon.
Sounds like a splendid idea, but I think the meal in Boulogne is a way off yet. I have still 1.5 km to get out of the tunnel, I think! I must bring a change of shoes for the shopping. I have to wear platform shoes to ride the bike, but they aren’t very comfortable for walking in!
Lily the trouble with the bouncing is I don’t think I can do more than 15 bounces at the minute - obviously something there to build on!!
Nikki- We are having a Wii and Wiifit for xmas, ( it’s a surprise) so can’t use it till then. Looking forward to it though. Seven bells!! Ooops I don’t think I will be challenging you to the boxing!!
I am just off to Hydrofit this morning so am feeling very virtuous
Hi
Sorry have fallen off my bike for a while - pls send p’card!
xx
Poor you Carol,
catch the train and look forward to you being well enough to join in again.
Take care
Lily x
ps I got a puncture but hope to be wheeling along tomorrow
Sorry girls I know I started this but this cold/flu virus has knocked me for 6.I walked half a mile with toddler in buggy this morning and am barely able to type[he is sleeping so thanks for that Christmas fairy!]
Take it easy Horace and don’t do anything whilst you are unwell it will just make it worse. Get on the train with Carol and join us on Sunday at the French border for the croissants.
My knee has gone a bit wonky so I am having a days rest and will pick up another km tomorrow.
Cheers everyone
