Join Lily and Horace on the gentle cycle challenge?

Hi,
anyone back on track for some exercise yet? I really, really need to as eaten far too much.
Could we all please depart on the E42 and we are heading towards Lille. This week the challenge is to complete 4 km ( a nice slow start) by next Sunday evening. Bonus weight losing points and a large glass of ‘vin’ if you complete it by Saturday mid day
good luck

Oh dear weight is now an all time high, but did go out for 4 km walk on Saturday.
I am getting on the excercise bike and have also got the wii fit for xmas.

Horace I think I am now your Toby Jug big sister!

I will be there on Saturday noon.

Went for walk and played with grandson yesterday but it was very icy under foot so cut it short-waiying for delivery of rebounder as recommended by lymphodoema nurse so I can bounce along!

Phew! I have just arrived to collect my bonus midday Vin Rouge.

Cycled along to my xmas CD of Herman’s Hermits!!!

Hope to see the rest of you soon.Has the Trampoline arrived Horace?

Hi,
well done Topper, I think you ‘topped’ us all this week. We are still trundling along towards Lille (I just had to go there!! LOL) enjoying the scenery. Sorry been a bit of a rush this weekend with hubby laid up in bed with his back gone!! Non stop waitressing all weekend and deep heat!!! This week’s challenge is to complete 5 km by next Sunday to reach a lovely chateau, where a mystery gent is waiting to wine and dine you. Mine is Daniel Craig, in case anyone else tries to sit at that table!!

Hi

Back at bc exercise class two days ago, so managed another 2.5 km on exercise bike under the eagle eye of the instructor.

Plus loads of walking with latest visitor, probably another 3 km. Unfortunately all this will probably count for nought as visitor also brought a box of the most divine truffles I have ever eaten…

How far is it to Lille?

Have you looked on Amazon, Horace?

Oh Puff puff… just finished final km on the exercise bike. did 2 km cycling and 2km running and walking on the Wii fit earlier in the week.
What a lovely Chateau. I am a bit early for the Mystery man thankfully. I will just rest for a minute and hope my beetroot face calms down.

Hi,
sorry I lost the exercise plot again this week. had hubby in bed for the whole week after his back went, babysiting gorgeous Grandson every afternoon and now my son is ill and has temp of 38.8!!! i think I ran 100 miles up and down the stairs this week!! LOL
Sorry I have not got my act together. Well done to anyone who met the challenge. This week it is a short cycle of 4 km due to the hilly area we are travelling through. So put you bike on hills, run faster or bounce higher. Break your own personal best this week.

The Mystery Man was Alan Carr!!! well we had a laugh.
See you next week

hav e taken Lottie lurcher out monday/wednesday for an hour so must have done my 8k but not too hilly in Lincolnshire!!!
Will try to do an hours walk every day except for torrential rain and especially windy days. Each time I will try to take a minute or two off the time … unless it means jogging!

Got my trampoline today from QVC for £14.99 reduced from £35- not putit together yet !Spent all day cleaning spare room, putting stuff in loft etc.

Hi,
Did 1 km today as fast as my short legs would go on my exercise bike. Well if I did that more often I would have to turn the heating down! Boy was I hot and wobbly legs!
I am going back to work next week and wondered if anyone else would like to be Cheerleader and post targets? I do still want to keep up my exercise if I can manage both and not fall asleep when I come through the door each night!
I will keep going if no-one else fancies cracking the whip.
Love

Hi all

Can I join your merry crew. i have rather foolishly signed up to do pedal it pink on April 19th. Have to be able to cycle a marathon distance. I’m a little further along the treatment route than you but decided I needed to do something to get the exercise going. Any moral support would be gratefully appreciated.

Crispy

Hi,
well this week we have a long but slow cycle/walk/run/bounce of 8km to reach Lille and a certain little shop with pastries and coffee waiting in the boulevard.
have a good week and crispy good luck, you have quite a bit of time if you can exercise regularly. What a great thing to do. MY girls want me to do the 3km run next (argggh this year)!!

Phew… . I have just finished the final 3 km of the 8 km to Lille. It’s lovely in the square and I have just ordered coffee and a large drink of water.
The Garcon has recommended Lapin aux prunes for lunch apparently it is the local dish.
Anyone else here already!

Looks like poor Horace has broken her leg. I have heard from her that she is going to fly out to Lille with her roadracing wheelchair on Friday. I am staying at Novotel Lille Centre Grand Place.
Anyone else that is travelling with us, please let us know where you are and we can crack the champagne when Horace arrives.

Lily are you coming out to join us for the weekend? or are you too busy with work.
Bahons are you still travelling in a northerly direction?

Bon Soir

Hi,
sorry cycled over the edge of a cliff and got stuck on top of a large fir tree for 3 days until they found a crane strong enough to lift me down.LOL. I am sorry to say I have not touched the bike since as worn out with all the stairs at school, so walking alongside now.
