Well done @louc ā€¦ I love that photo of you ringing the bellā€¦ you have done so well. Everyone has.

I have loved reading everyoneā€™s updatesā€¦ I have been following closely. My experiences reflect so many of what you are all feeling and experiencing. Iā€™m really struggling with what I look like at the moment, I feel so ugly and not me.

I have had 2 out 4 EC, every 3 weeks. Itā€™s so much worse than the carbo/ paclitaxal.

I took your advice and asked for the single filastrim injection and donā€™t have bone pain this time, but very exhausted and just feel toxic.

My hair was growing back but now falling out again. I am literally crawling to the finish line of this chemo. My last one is 12th December.

Well done @louc on ringing the bell! Your comments really resonated with me. I finished my chemo today just after you, they donā€™t have a bell at my hospital but I felt very emotional too and burst into tears with my hubby when we got back to the car! The enormity of the past several months, all suddenly hit me, and yes got radiotherapy to go (CT planning on 12th when Iā€™ll get my start date then bisphoshonates but somehow seems a big hurdle is over with. I no longer recognise the woman I see in the mirror & wonder if ever sheā€™ll return?
Whoever made the Christmas cake has inspired me, Iā€™ve not made one for years but now have a sudden urge to  (Diet will have to wait!)
Iā€™m not so good a checking in all the time but have caught up with the posts and thank you all, it really helps reading everyoneā€™s comments, best of luck all you warriors xx

Well done on completing the chemo @louc and @olli3 :sparkling_heart: you have done so well.

@kerrylou1 and @bex I had my 2nd EC yesterday and feeling it today so know how you are both feeling. I am beginning to gare the cold cap now the EC is xaysing ut to fall out much more than paclitaxol. I guess a minor issue but still upsetting me. Only 2 more to go :tada:

Wishing all Julyers well. It
has been a real comfort reading everyones posts but wish you didnā€™t have to be on here

@booklover1 we are so close to the chemo finish lineā€¦

Iā€™m on day 6 after 2/4 EC and woke up much better this morning.

Sorry about the hair, youā€™ve done so well will the cold cap. Even if you have some loss, they say it helps grow back quicker. Last stretch for chemo.

Xxx

Well done @olli3 @louc

No one will ever understand the feeling of finishing chemo
And diets can wait I say  (although the forced meno for me is defo taking its toll haha)

@bex1 youā€™re almost there
And think you can say F off to the paxman machine after :joy:

I rebelled and ran hot water for a few seconds on my hair
I didnā€™t care if more hair came out ā€¦ I am a bit fed up on that front too

Iā€™ve got my last chemo on Friday but not feeling the positivity of my friends and family ā€¦ wandered round the supermarket this morning trying not to cryā€¦ whatā€™s that all about :see_no_evil:
Sending hugs to all šŸ«¶šŸ»

Well done @louc what a wonderful picture!!
My son helped me ring the bell bless him!
And now he thinks everytime he finishes something, we should ring a bell for him :rofl: he has a little father Christmas bell and its like - finished dinner? Ring the bell. Finished getting dressed? Ring the bell.:rofl:

@bex1 that boat piece is beautiful. And so so true!!

Ive been getting pains in my arm (cording comes and goes in it which is annoying) and my flap reconstruction feels stiff at the moment (not to touch, i cant explain it, its a stiffness within and i feel like ive slept funny on it or something)
Anyway, i keep worrying and feeling around it to make sure nothing feels unusualā€¦ but of course it feels unusual. Ive had my belly sewn on my chest and its numb. Nothing usual about it lol.

My mental health has been in the toilet the last few weeks but ive been doing that thing that we all do of putting on a brave face for everyone else.
Anywho, radio starts 11th of November so thatā€™ll be another hurdle.

Love to everyone :heart::heart::heart::heart:

I love this ! Getting our kids to ring the bell too

Homework done, ring the bell - brush teeth, ring the bell - etc

You have a lovely young chap there and bet his positivity is amazing

Good luck Monday, how many sessions do you need? I bought moo goo on Amazon and think itā€™s saved my skin

Also hydrate (I had low level nausea when I didnā€™t drink enough water)

Re checking the boob , Iā€™m terrified to. It s a PTSD moment for sure & hear you re M H. Anxiety is my middle name x

Its 3 weeks mon-fri, so 15 sessions altogether. Ive got some moo goo from my little lifts gift bag so i shall be using that for sure! It saved my skin after i had the dressings and picc line removed!! My skin looked awful for a little while until i used that stuff!

Thank you for the advice!! I shall definitely make sure i hydrate. Always handy to get some tips!

I went to see the macmillan lady today at the hospital. She was so nice and signed me up for counselling and group sessions etc. Im glad i went now. Im usually great at lifting others up and giving advice but rubbish when it comes to my own stuff. Had a good cry in her office and felt 1000x better when i came out.

Getting the kids to ring the bell for day to day stuff is the way forward :rofl::rofl:

I booked a move it forward course but have decided to wait til Jan

I have my first Zometa infusion at the same time & not sure I can take it on

But will call MacMillan - have heard wonderful things

Another tip re radio - massage the area

Im getting a ā€œcoldā€ shoulder from it
Will be so annoyed if if get cording after managing to avoid it post lumpectomy

I think I may go to the Macmillan unit at the hospital for some support - I just need the confidence to do it. @zaran It sounds like you were given some excellent support there. Iā€™ve still got 2 weekly chemo sessions left before I move onto radiotherapy and the other 3 treatments - it just seems never ending and I feel so teary all the time at the moment.
Well done to everyone who has finished their chemo and to those who are still going through the slog we are all nearly thereā¤ļø
