I’ve got my first 2 radiotherapy sessions out the way. So far so good. Is anyone else having RT over Christmas and New Year and if so are you having extra sessions at the weekend to make up for Bank Holidays or have they tagged them on to the end of treatment?

Pleased you finally got started with your radiotherapy, must have been so frustrating for you and I hope all goes to plan now.
Have they given you a schedule for over Christmas? I’m on day 2 and was told they don’t do it bank holidays so would give me an extra session the next 3 weekends but now they’re saying they’ll add extra days onto the end of my 3 weeks instead.
Good to feel like we’re finally getting to the end of all our treatments. xx

I’ve got my radio schedule and I have 15 sessions starting on the 30th dec with New Year’s Day off so I finish on the 20th Jan (which is a Monday cos I miss New Year’s Day) .
I have also lost my eyelashes four weeks post chemo and still losing loads of hair!

Hi. @ldm sorry you’ve had such a bad experience. Sounds shocking glad that lovely lady gave you a hug. Hopefully things will go to plan now. @angieb1 glad you’re on your way through your radio hope it continues to go well. Oh and my pee isn’t as bright lol. Not worried just thought it was a bit strange. @kerrylou1 glad you have a schedule now hope all goes well. Take care ladies. Xxxx

Hi everyone!! Thanks for all the lovely msgs. Im waiting on the Oncology team to call me back regarding the rash. I called them yesterday and they didnt seem worried but were “on it” and said theyd call me back today to check how it was. Its calmed down a lot and isnt as red as it was so fingers crossed it was just a sweat rash lol.
I got myself in such a state. Havent been like that for a long time. So frustrating xxxx

@angieb1 yes I’ve got my full schedule which includes Xmas and New Year’s Day week. The radiotherapy department im having treatment at are definitely in this weekend, however I’ve no treatment scheduled on either day. I had treatment this morning and my next one is Monday. They have added the 3 (Xmas day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day) sessions to the end x

@ldm That’s the same as mine. I was a bit worried there was too many gaps between treatment but good to know that other hospitals are doing the same. Hope it all goes well for you and hope the hormone therapy is going ok. xx

I’m 6 weeks post chemo and also have now lost my lashes although my eyebrows are starting to grow back - weird! xx
Hope everyone’s treatment goes to plan this coming week 
@zaran glad your rash has eased up - I think we all started this journey brushing off issues, but have been lectured at not to overlook anything and don’t ride it out, so it means we worry more, good on for you ringing them, hope your mind is more at ease x
I’ve no actual eyebrows yet, but according to my other half, I have a 5 o’clock shadow where they are thinking of starting to come back!

(I’ve peeked into my Christmas stocking and there are definitely the makings of eyelashes to match my eyebrow shadows. I couldn’t be more thrilled

I made it home to California for the break
I managed to get some awful cold & the 11 hrs on a flight was dreadful coupled with bone /muscle pain from Letrozole
Just starting to feel ok from the cold - Letrozole is another story 
So over 2024 lol
