Still in pain too, have restricted movement in my arm and stinging sensation in the armpit, the surgeon said it can be a year before the boob settles to its normal new shape following a LICAP reconstruction.
Wishing you all the best for Monday

@caz1970 thatās great news! What a great response, you must be so relieved. Xx
@bex1 good luck for Mondayxx
Thatās wonderful news! . Donāt worry about radio, youāll be through it in no time xx
Radiotherapy is a breeze - honestly donāt worry about it. Just keep doing your exercises and all will be ok!
My blistery rash is just a tiny annoyment in my life now.
Thanks for your messages, they said I may have a 12 week wait for radio!! Hopefully will be quicker than thst x
Hi, Kerrylou, and any other ladies going through radiotheraphy and needing something for rash or blistering skin, try MediHoney it is brilliant. My oncologist gave me a prescription for it, however most chemists and I think Amazon do it.
I am 5 years post breast cancer but this site is great and I still look on here.
Take care everyone.

@kerrylou1 2 of my burns blistered and I carried on with the Cera Ve and used a little bit of the cream I was prescribed when the skin broke on the other burn. The blisters broke yesterday and skin has started peeling and to be honest a lot of the pain has ceased since then so I think it just needed to pop!!
I had my 1st Zoledronic acid infusion and started the Abemaciclib on Tuesday. Felt ridiculously tired since - back to needing long afternoon naps again, bones are really aching and just feel generally exhausted and rubbish. Really hope it all settles soon.
Fab news @caz1970
Totally agree with all the comments about friends - Iāve certainly realised who mine are. Some people have amazed me with the frequent contact and visits, others who Iāve been friends with for over 20 years havenāt been in touch since May (they live in the same village as me) but could put a Christmas card through my letter box. Goes without saying they didnāt get one back! Xx
@ldm I have had 2 Zoledronic acid infusions since chemo and I feel awful for 3/4 days sometimes I get a bit upset that I feel so bad as I had been feeling so good. Itās flu like aches and pains with fatigue. Just rest for a few days and hopefully you will be back to ānormalā whatever that is for you.
@naughty_boob thank you. It helps to know itās normal to feel like this after the infusions xx
This is amazing news!!! Congratulations
I developed a slight rash and bought hydrocortisone 1 % cream. I only had to use it a couple of times ot really helped. X
Hiya friends. I usually start with ladies but it does feel like we have come a long way together and i feel we are kind of friends now. @caz1970 what brilliant news. So pleased for you. Ill be honest i really did sail through radio. Hope its the same for you. like @bex1 Iām also tn. Hope your appointment went well today bex. Hearing about you ladies having infusions among other treatment it sounds awful. Im only on ibandronic acid tablets daily for 3 years and no problems so far. I had a catch-up appointment today with my bcn. Talked about what happens next. What to look out for ect. Ive put my name down for a moving forward course. March/April time. I mentioned the lump in my armpit and shes referred me to put my mind at ease so Iāll have an appointment in a couple of weeks. Donāt think it will be anything sinister maybe scar tissue she gave me some reading material by dr Peter Harvey. After the treatment finishes- then what? Really good. Has anyone else read this? Take care xxxx
Hi all,
I saw the surgeon today- she reported mixed resultsā¦ the good news is I have clear margins in my boob- however I also had full node removal and they found cancer in 5 of them, which the surgeon said she was disappointed to see - whatever that means!!
I will be having the 15 sessions of radio - followed by cape (oral chemo). But I knew that before today, so that is not new news.
Iām waiting for the letter from the doctor to see if I can understand it better, as she was talking in riddles by the end and I couldnāt process the information.
Xx
Did you have levels 1,2 and 3 removed or just levels 1 and 2 which is standard?
Hi @bex1 thats really good about the clear margins & that the nodes are out nowxx
I was the same as you just a bit overwelmed trying to take everything in that the surgeon was talking about. Takes a bit of time to process. Sending
Thanks @debi1, good to hear radio was ok for you! I was also given the article to read yet to get round to it yet xx
Great news on the clear margins
Donāt panic about the node results sweetie- it shows with 5 that the clearance was the right thing to do and that it showed up in the planning for your surgery. Better out and getting dealt with as part of your surgery and then further treatment than not finding until later. (If it helps at all itās a low number in my experience.). Surgeons seem to either say too much or not enough - perhaps their best bedside manner is while weāre under! I didnāt even see mine on surgery day - when I had my next appointment with him I said Iād understood weād collided recently xx
Morning @debi1 is it a book or article ? Not sure my mind is that chill to read a book yet - lol
In all seriousness it sounds interesting!
Also, whenās the scan? Did you have a lumpectomy or mx? I keep wondering if mammos will hurt more now ā¦
@bex1 hooray for clear margins and I echo @pipspops thoughts that the full clearance was the right thing to do
Have you let this surgeon before ?
The one who gave me my results was so awful that I formally told my BCN team that I never wanted an appt with him again
Sadly I think some dr explain news & what is means better than others
I hope you get a clearer picture soon
X
Morning love its an article quite long though. About 4 pages of A4 paper written on both sides. Hes really good at explaining how we are feeling. Think its online if you google it. Think hes a phycologist. Ive just had a call from hospital got appointment on the 7th to check out this new lump. I had lumpectomy and centile node biopsy back in may. Was clear margins. Nurse said probably be an examination and maybe ultrasound. Also the first yearly mammogram will be in December 1 year after treatment finished. Like you say a bit too sensitive to be squashed into that machine. Xx
