Good to hear. Hope you enjoy your cinema trip x

Hope everyone having a lovely Sunday and weekend… I rather overdid it on Friday night with dancing and drinking … then my friend at Saturday lunch suggested champers… rude not to really!!! So a bit  today but boy was it worth it! It felt fantastic to laugh and eat and drink and dance and feel free. Even the huge headache on Saturday morning felt great :rofl::rofl:

So glad everyone is doing so well with operations and medication and recovery (& out out nights!!) we’re all taking our time as much as we can and trying to ring fence that self care :two_hearts: which is great.

I have a fluffy duck type head now and unbelievably the hairs in between my slightly growing eyebrows needed to be plucked!!! Why does the stubborn hair you don’t need come back first!!! Still… seeing any growth gives me joy so that’s good.

Love to all xx

Yes!! My leg hair and bikini line are starting back but only fluff on my head rather than hair!!

I guess i should be happy with what ive saved on hair removal and hair cuts this year…:joy:

Lovely to read all the posts and a little getting out to play. We went to Brum to celebrate Christmas somewhat early, with my husbands family - no dancing like @donna_51 but plenty of eating, drinking and laughing and the Christmas lights - it was lovely. At circuit training last night noticed hair growing on my legs  typical where you don’t want it :joy: and the baby duck fluff is growing very very slowly but at least it’s doing something! Hope you’re ok @pat - the shave is flipping hard. @jojoh hope the pain has subsided now and you are able to reduce the meds a little?
Have a good week all …. x

How are you feeling after your surgery @charlie22? I had a lumpectomy and lymph node clearance on Thursday. I managed to get home on the same day as my surgery was in the morning. Having the dressings removed today and hopefully the drain out tomorrow or Thursday. I’ve been unwell for afew days though - high temp, cold, cough (like a dry cough which I think is from the tube).

Does anyone know how long after chemo finishing you need to report a high temp? I’m almost 7 weeks post chemo and haven’t reported it :woman_shrugging:

Sounds like you had a great weekend too @collywobbles
I’ve cut back on meds now, but do have a really painful right arm and can’t straighten it properly. I’ve been doing the exercises I was given since the day after surgery, hoping it’s not cording! I do have an appointment with the physio tomorrow so hoping to shed some light on it then.
I’ve signed up to the Moving On course at Maggies, Southampton in March too.
Hope everyone has a good week and all making good recoveries from treatment and nights out :joy::crazy_face: xx

@rrey Have you still got a high temperature? Has it come on just since your surgery? I developed a high temperature, felt ill and had extreme shivering 4 days post op. It turned out I had an infection in the drain and spent 24 hours on IV antibiotics in hospital. Its probably safer if you contact someone - sorry I know it’s now out of hours but I’ve only just seen your post - as we remain immunosuppresed for quite a while after stopping chemo

Thanks @pat. Yeah the high temp came on a couple of days after surgery. The nurse removed the dressing today and said it looked good. But drain is still in until tomorrow or Thursday. My temp has come down after paracetamol, hopefully it’ll stay down. If not, I’ll give them a call. Thank you

@rrey I might be wrong but I think you can still call the 24 hour helpline up to 3 months post chemo so may be worth a call?

I had a dream last night my eyebrows grew back overnight, was most annoyed this morning when I woke up and still had to faff about drawing them on

Thought I’d escaped the dodgy chemo nails but managed to lose part of a nail today. Got my lovely Xmas nail wraps on too so now lovely nails apart from one :see_no_evil:

I hope those of you going through surgery are doing ok.xx

@rrey glad surgery went well and you’ve been checked over. I’m not too bad … but I didn’t have a drain put in. I have to just keep my dressing in for two weeks not get them wet and do my exercises … that was my only advice given! :weary: so strange how different hospitals do things!! I’m just a little sore and feels like it’s pulling sometimes and my back aches! Oh and it’s started itching a bit today … but sure that’s a sign of healing?!? But have managed without painkillers since Sunday morning … they were making me very constipated :grimacing::rofl: so touch wood all going ok!

I had my oncologist appointment today … immunotherapy will start again in the new year (agreed to have a few weeks break thank god ) so will be 5 rounds every 6 weeks, which I’m a little disappointed about as the end still seems a way off now! Will find out about radiotherapy on the 18th so fingers crossed that won’t be too intense, as apparently you have to have a two week window either side of having radiotherapy before having the immunotherapy… so really don’t want it dragging on and on :weary: was also told my adrenal glands will never repair so will be on hydrocortisone for life now, which again was a little disappointed but suppose it is what is!

Family life is still pretty hectic … my mum got taken into hospital last night with an extremely high heart rate and fluid on the lungs … we went to a&e and we were next to the bay where my dad passed so that was very difficult.

Me and my partner still seem to be at logger heads a bit … its a bit like a battle of whose struggling the most right now and we’ve lost sight of what’s important and he’s got man flu right now (kinda of self inflicted due to him having a boozy weekend ) so of course everything else pales insignificance :exploding_head: … so that’s pretty tough!

Still don’t know about work and if contracts are being renewed which is another pressure … however I have seen a job I really want to go for, but after today I feel a little deflated and not sure if I should even bother!!

And to top it off I feel like the world’s crappiest mum as I just don’t seem to get any proper time to spend with the kids at the minute!! :face_holding_back_tears:

Sorry I’m so miserable … but I am so happy to hear a few of you getting into the festive spirit … I will be putting my tree up this weekend so hoping that will give me a much needed kick up the arse  that and I will treat myself o a very nice bottle of red whilst doing it :muscle:t3:

Hair … eyelashes coming on a treat and eyebrows getting there! Hair on head not so much but trying not to stress! None on legs yet but have noticed how rough and bumpy they still are … and I use aveeno product’s but they just feel awful!! :disappointed:

@charlie22 goodness you do have a lot going on. It’s no wonder your emotions are all over. I hope your mum is doing ok.

I know what you mean re feeling like who’s suffering the most sometimes with your partner. We can be a bit like that with the stress of everything with me and then stuff my husband has going on too.

Also you most definitely aren’t a crappy mum you just have a lot to deal with at the moment. Get those decorations up at the weekend with your wine, some festive snacks and cake of course, and hopefully things will feel a bit more cheerful.:christmas_tree::clinking_glasses:Oh and if you like the sound of that job then go for it!xx
